What do you think about coins issued without ICO?

For example ONT was issued without ICO since they received enough funding. Instead of having an ICO, they made an airdrop which was worth like 1000 ONT and 10k USD at its peak. Crazy amount for an airdrop. However ONT is not the only example. There are bad examples as well. I would stay away from pre-mined coins since they are probably not decentralized and can be manipulated easily.

Siacash Coin, Bitcoin Token, Denta Coin are also exampes, they didn't launch the ICO. They reward their supporters via Airdrop and or Bounty. Now they (These tokens) are listed on so many exchanges. Successful project without ICO.

I think they are more reliable. I would choose them. Scammers will not just distribute tokens and invest their money.

Scammers can earn some more money and disappear. this is how it works..
If it's an ICO that has nothing then no one would invest in it and they get nothing too.

People invest in projects having nothing. And they disappear. It works like this. I haven't heard of other stories.

If the smart guys gave the funds for the development of the project it will be reliable. A project was created to address the needs of a certain group of people. I trust that project more.

Well, I was in the whitelist when Ontology decided to go forward with airdrop, and it really went well. I needlessly looked at the project and decided to support them to the end.

Some projects did not hold public ICO as their tokens/coins were sold out at an early stage. There are projects in which all tokens/coins were distributed between funds.

The main purpose of an ICO is to obtain money in order to start a project. If the project can be launched even without any start up capital, then there is no difference between that coin and those who do ICO.
