Thanks for your thoughts guys, it was helpful!

I dont know if I would call it "far better". I think the two are generally very different. There are many advantages to crypto including transparency, corruption free and no fees for international transactions. But I think there are still some things that need to be worked on. Also, fiat has it's own advantages too like not having to rely on technology at all times.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Are all ICOs scam?
« on: May 03, 2018, 08:24:13 PM »
I probably wouldn't go as far as saying almost all are scam. But it's certainly true that only a very small number actually has a big break through. That doesn't ask that all others are scam just because they dont make it though. Regarding bans by social media: I am actually not a big ban sort of person. I would rather keep all info and educate users to be able to make the right decision on who to trust and who to avoid. But that's just one way of looking at it
You're totally right. It becomes smart and best to always keep your intelligence alert and be abreast of the ICO you intend to invest in. Seek for advice from experts if you are entirely new in the game. However, you can run some few checks on the team and its credentials to ascertain some level of trust.

Yes, I fully agree. The team is quite frankly apart from the basic concept the most important thing I look for. Here for instance is a good example of what team transparency is for me: https://www.culturalplaces.com/#team I don't really want to have to search for these things for ages so that's the kind of solution I look for.

I am currently trading altcoin on my spare time precisely like 2hours of the day while fully doing my  offline job. Sometimes in my online job, i have some spare time to chart and engage on trading then switch back to my job, and sometime i have more hours depending on our office schedule for the day.

I think once you know the industry and what you are doing, a few hours a day is enough anyways. No point sitting in front of your computer all day looking for new investments, I think that's a waste of time. Once you got experience you know exactly where to find good new projects and it wont take all your day.

I want to know about ICO.I don't know which is the good or scam ICO.That's why I want to learn about it.

Please share your secret tricks. :)
Look out for bounty managers with previous works ending up successfully. This give a certain good level of chance to succeed. Also, you have to perform a research into the team(developer, advisor, other team members) and find out from their social media if they are truly what they claim to be. Read and understand the idea of the project. Some projects are just repetition without any creative/innovative idea of old projects. Such projects a less likely to succeed as investors wouldn't like to invest in archaic ideology

Very much agreed. This research is absolutely essential! For me personally, I also want to be passionate about the idea and like the project to tackle a certain issue/need etc. For example my family has been in the arts industry for years and I am really into culture and travelling. I came across the cultural coin which attempts to tackle some of these problems aka offers blogchain solutions for this industry. For me, that's the kind of thing which is of personal use to me. Look out for projects like that, you will see that you will pick the projects you invest in more carefully.

airrops is a free distribution token anf it's a small amount (quantity). it's advisable to spin more time in bounties like signature and social campaign because more token to be earn depend on our hard work.

Yeah, agreed. The cultural coin, a coin I recently invested in, for instance didnt even have an airdrop. It seems the guys are confident enough about their project and that on the other hand appeals to me. Bounty is still on though and I always think if you have the time, some off them offer great opportunities.

I work from home so I just currently do both and I find the 50/50 with this manageable and profitable... love my work freedom, but also really focused on having big success long term.

That's the way to go exactly! So if you get any chance of changing to a position where you can work from home part time, I would probably do that to be honest.

Sorting Box / Re: TELEGRAM - groups info
« on: April 29, 2018, 09:36:01 PM »
On Telegram you have the ability to specifically share your phone number with someone, which is sometimes needded (getting readded to a group you left), but the only real public information are your display name, contact name (if you set one), profile pic and bio.

Yes thats right. Telegram is fantastic for getting infos about airdrops, bounties and ICOs though, if it wasnt for them, I would never have participated in the cultural coin ICO for ex. I had so many questions and the team was brilliant with answering. I dont normally tend to join groups where I need an open phone number to enter, just don't like it.

My answer to this would be research + bounty. I don't normally do either airdrops nor bounty without having done the essential research and don't think it's worth participating in loads of airdrops of shitty coins which will lead to absolutely nothing. Sometimes I even tend to prefer coins without airdrops because I'm not a big fan of the concept tbh. I just end up loosing track.

Sorting Box / Re: How to manage your bounty you joined?
« on: April 29, 2018, 09:27:15 PM »
When I started doing bounties I also had the same question. I did so many bounties then I forgot how many I do, forgot weekly report day etc. So as a solution I use a google sheet now. I have updated it with all the bounties I am doing. It has social media channel links and also a links to the weekly report I should post. Now I do not miss a single report submission date and doing many bounties is very easy and manageble

That's a brilliant way of doing it, I think I might do the same. I had the same question since I have started getting more into bounties. I kind of thought I'd loose track of deadlines and things to do. Thanks for sharing this.

will recommend whattomire.com

I actually have heard from several people that the coins on whattomine are kind of outdated. Outdated in terms of too mainstream to make a decent profit with. Those people also recommended some lesser known coins. Do you think that's true?

I agree with what many of you said on here. It takes quite some transparency for me to invest in a project and I always do as much research on the team as possible. I think basically all stands and falls with the team. The last ICO I participated in for example, I even came across by knowing the team beforehand: I knew the Austrian start up Oroundo already and read about their new project, the cultural coin. Its particularly reassuring to me if the team has already been in the business for quite some time.
So yes, basically I would say TEAM, realistic CONCEPT and RATINGS on independent platforms.

13
I totally agree. I think its never a good idea to put all one's eggs into one basket. Instead it's good to keep all doors open and create a good balance between the different aspects. As we all know crypto can be subject to wild fluctuations and I dont think its the most stable market. Having another part time job at the same time (at an advanced stage) is probably the ideal situation. I know people who can do their "normal" jobs from home with flexible hours and who do crypto at the same time. That's brilliant!

14
I suppose we don't, otherwise we would all be rich.  :P You certainly can get a good understanding of a product and get an estimate of whether it might be successful or not. But in the end its down to so many factors (including luck) whether a project is successful or not.

Cryptocurrency discussions / New announcements: Did I miss them??
« on: April 27, 2018, 11:35:19 PM »
Hi guys! Is there anyone out there following the cultural coin's recent announcements?? From what I heard they were going to announce some new partner institutions but I think I missed it. Would be really interesting to see the new ones, I think after all they are kind of the key to the success after the ICO. Anyone got news for me on this? And do you know what the discount will be after this phase? Ah and also, do you know a good alternative for MyEtherWallet? Thanks so much, help much appreciated!
