Gambling & Crypto Casinos / Re: Best LiveStreaming sport services?
« on: June 02, 2024, 04:54:59 PM »
I don't want to download and check out some random apps that have malware inside.

I also think that it is hard to expect someone to offer a premium stream for free, so you should definitely be very careful with all those apps that are offered in Google Play - especially if we know that there are a lot of them that contain malware. I have personally seen the case of an infected smartphone which, after downloading the sports app, became practically useless because app could not be removed in any way, and it produced countless advertisements and redirections to very bad pages.

My brother also paid for an IPTV service to stream sports on his Android home TV, but I think they are illegal and will likely get interrupted quite often since the broadcaster is actively trying to block services like that.

If he did not buy from someone officially and receives a monthly bill to his home address, then he has an illegal service. Some IPTV providers even have special apps in which a VPN is built in so that the ISP cannot block the service.

If Biden says he'll veto the bill, he'll probably keep his word.

I sincerely doubt that he understands what this is really about - but it is not only about decisions concerning cryptocurrencies, but more or less everything that should concern him. He functions with a bunch of counselors and people who whisper in his ear, but that's unfortunately the reality of people suffering from dementia.

As for the SEC and their views on cryptocurrencies, it seems to me that GG is a bit angry because they practically forced him to approve the spot BTC ETF, and what they are trying to do now is just a small revenge that they are not succeeding in so far.

99k would be a total disaster for mining side of the game.
Miners need 125-145k not to be crushed.

It seems to me that a few months ago you mentioned much lower numbers when it came to the miner's earnings compared to the halving of the reward - maybe I'm wrong, but if the minimum price for the survival of miners will have to be $125k+, what will happen if even after the new ATH, which can be anywhere above that a correction of say 70% occurs?

Somehow I don't believe that everyone will stop mining BTC, but maybe only the big ones will survive?

Basic questions about this forum / Re: My Karma Just dropped by 10
« on: June 02, 2024, 04:00:56 PM »
Since I've been on the forum, this is the first time I've seen (at least publicly) that the admin reacted like this, but he was obviously angered by what you did and punished you with -10 karma. I'm not one of those who can or wants to judge whether it's an appropriate punishment, but if nothing else, at least you found out the reason why it happened.

I hope that we will soon get a new feature that will show which post has received +/- karma, which would mean a lot in the fight against karma abuse.

Forum related / BG shilling and forum actions!
« on: June 02, 2024, 03:50:34 PM »
I come across more and more members who shill BG and projects related to that platform, and I wonder if it might be justified to filter every link and name of that platform in some way? I know that there are certain words that are "forbidden" and instead of which the forum automatically places a certain link, so I hope that the admin and the forum administration will consider this situation and remove such things from the forum.

I have already reported some members because of that and as far as I can see, some of them have become inactive (perhaps they have been banned), but there are obviously too many of them.

What I would especially warn the admin is to pay attention to the fact that these members are getting +karma from someone, and I doubt that that alt farm has at least one or more Senior rank accounts for that.

Let's look at just one example of how they operate:

User @Joseph Lee opened the topic - and if we look at his post history, we can see that he is BG shill, while another member (@MCcabe Rory) joins the conversation who is also a BG shill. His post history link.

Evidence was published on BTT that BG as a company hires and pays people to promote them in this way -> Innovative Shilling

A little more than $100k is realistically very little money when it comes to a case like this in which lawyers will cost a lot - so I think that Mr. V could have "worked harder" considering how much wealth he has amassed in the past 10 years. It is true that he did not have to give anything, but I always look at donations in the context of how much money someone has - and they say that he became a billionaire a few years ago.

7
I also sometimes experience such a warning, but I attributed it to the fact that I use Tor and that it is possible that there is someone else who also uses the same browser and was connected to the same node (same IP) before me. Given that I also sometimes have xx minutes between posts, somehow it doesn't seem to me that it is the limit mentioned by the admin.

I would conclude from all this that such projects are not created because they have meaning and purpose, but because someone is trying to make money by selling the next big thing - and in fact, out of a hundred such projects, maybe one or two will survive and achieve success.

I don't wonder what's next, because there are too many people who obviously have too much money to waste it on such things - and as long as it's like that, someone will think that that money should be taken from them. I've never invested anything in such things, and frankly I'm not interested in it - I've seen hundreds of "promising" projects over the years, most of which disappeared as if they never existed.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Need advice for bitcoin wallet..

I mean anything popular is bound to be targeted by malicious actors. Regarding verifying install, idk technical aspects but blue wallet website has PGP key mentioned [1], can you verify install using it?

[1] https://bluewallet.io/pgp/[/size]

I can't tell you if it is possible to verify the BlueWallet file before installation with that PGP key, because I haven't tried - but that key has the note "PGP Key for BlueWallet maintainers", which could mean that it is used for the possibility of encrypted communication between BlueWallet maintainers.

there are some nice ones among other things

When you buy something like that, you shouldn't pay too much attention to how something looks, but how resistant it is to all the things it can face. Jameson Lopp made a test that includes the exposure of metal seed storage to heat, corrosion and crush, and only in these tests can we see how good/bad some products are. Some of these products are not really worth anything because they have shown that they cannot protect the backup in case they are exposed to high temperature or chemicals.

Anyone who is interested in more can view the tests at this link -> Metal Bitcoin Seed Storage Reviews

If someone has no choice but to look for online streaming, he always has to face things like poor quality and frequent transmission interruptions, and of course countless advertisements. In my opinion, it is still better to pay for legal IPTV or satellite TV, or try one of the IPTV services that offer tens of thousands of programs for relatively little money.

On this link you have all kinds of sports, but I can't say how good and quality it is - test it and maybe it's what you're looking for ;)

Anyway, this is just my opinion, I believe the MixTum team has the most wise and appropriate decision for the long-term existence of MixTum. Perhaps this Raffle event has been enough for MixTum to reach more users, generate more revenue and profit!

Everything that the team behind this project is doing to raise the visibility of the project to a higher level is something that shows seriousness and determination to become the best in what they do. I just hope that he will manage to avoid the fate of the other mixers, that is, that he will learn from their mistakes.

There is certainly no business like this that is resistant to all the challenges it may face, but if you know how big brother works, then you can take appropriate steps to stay at least one step ahead of him.

I wonder how far we have already fallen into the abyss of AI when you need to explain to someone that AI coins are actually nothing but the names of some altcoins with the mark AI? Who would have thought that the label AI will start selling everything from TVs, mobile phones, cars, computers to cryptocurrencies, and that people will actually agree to pay more because they think they are getting something more - and in fact, the more we use AI, the more stupid we will become.

Many will disagree, but all that has happened in recent years regarding AI is obviously only the beginning of something that in most SF content ends very badly for the human race.

While i shared this news, personally i think such thing is unlikely to happen. But today i see so many news media which roughly state Trump found guilty on all 34 charges. So if he ended up jailed due to those charges, his promise no longer matter anyway.

Someone else would probably end up in prison, or in the best case, his political career would end - but here we are talking about a man who is a candidate for the presidency of the US with a great chance of winning. Those who are with him do not mind such verdict in the least, because the only truth they respect is the one that comes out of his mouth.

In the end, I can agree with him regarding the statement he made after leaving the court, and he says that the only real verdict will be the one on November 5, which means that nothing else is important for him and his supporters.

@babo, whoever wants to prevent unwanted situations simply has to think outside the box - because that's the only way to reduce all possible risks. Most people use paper as a backup, but it is no secret that paper is something that is not resistant to fire, water, chemicals, physical damage... although there are special types of paper that can have some improved properties.

That's why there are metal plates made of steel on which any important information can be engraved, and when stored in this way, we can save what is important to us. Of course, this is not the ultimate solution, because any backup is subject to theft or loss, and therefore it is necessary to have at least two backups in different locations if possible.
