Title: Watchboard feature.
Post by: bitmover on December 26, 2023, 05:51:53 PM
I would like to see a Watchboard button, just below "Show new replies to your posts".

"show new replies..." gets outdated. There are posts where which I would'nt like to track anymore.
Also, watchboard is a good way to keep yourself up to date to the recent discussions in the board we are interested in.

So we could choose some board to keep in the "watchboard" button

When you click on profile>modify profile>Notification. There's a section that talks about how to configure your notifications
In respect to the board it talked about clicking an index at the board
Despite looking i still can find it.
Don't know if the function was disabled or my browsers.

Yeah I was going to open a topic to ask exactly the same: @admin, if possible, please add the "Watchboard" feature.

The "Show new replies to your posts" will be quickly a trashcan after some weeks/months : https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?action=unreadreplies

It could be great to have the opportunity to watch/unwatch the topics

Looks like the forum was intended to have a watchlist-like option, according to the settings, all you have to do is click the "notify" button.
The problem is, there's no such button anywhere (unless I'm blind).

But yeah, having a watchlist would be great.

I do agree that the watchlist button is a great feature to have here as well. I was about to make a post about it but I figured that somebody might have created one first. I hope there would be something similar because I want to watch topics with new replies.

+1 to this feature.

Yeah, watchboard can also work as a custom landing page. This is how I use it in bitcointalk
So I can see all the new posts in the boards I am interested in.

This makes forum navigation more efficient.

Yeah absolutely.

Do we have any feedback from @admin about it? I am sure that a lot of members would appreciate to have such a feature. I don't know how difficult it would be to code/add it.

I am in support of this idea which will really be of good benefit to every member. There are some topics I will come across and wants to keep track of them but because there is no feature like that yet on the forum, it becomes impossible to track any board or topic.       It is also a stress that after you make comment on a topic or perhaps you created a new topic, you can not track the topic, next time if you want to visit the topic, you will have to look for it on the board where the topic was created.    If this suggested feature is being added to this forum, it will make much sense.
