Title: BTC halving event - What can we expect?
Post by: pablobitcobarofficial on January 16, 2024, 02:18:01 PM
As the BTC ETFs are now approved, the market is looking onto the next bullish catalyst for the crypto market known as the BTC halving event. The BTC halving event takes place every four years and cuts the rewards for Bitcoin mining in half. It has occurred three times so far in 2012, 2016 and 2020. The next halving event is on April 22nd, a month prior to possible ETH ETF approvals.

Looking at past data reveals mixed patterns in BTC halving occurrences leading up to the event. Some data suggests market corrections preceding the halving, while other data points to market surges. However, a consistent trend emerges for all post-halving periods, showing that each of the three halving events initiated a bullish cycle in the crypto market on HTF. This indicates that any market correction around the BTC halving event is a generational investment opportunity from a a long-term perspective.

The first BTC halving was followed by a 10300% rise of BTC over a period of 12 months.
The second halving event was followed by a 3000% rise of BTC over a period of 18 months.
The third halving event was followed by a 750% rise of BTC over a period of 18 months.

After each halving event, the percentage move by BTC decreased significantly compared to the previous halving event. Nevertheless, the halving event has historically initiated a super cycle that lasts between 12 and 18 months. This year, the BTC halving event meets other bullish events such as the BTC and ETH ETFs. A possible long-term impact of ETFs includes an increase in the demand for BTC. On the other hand, the BTC halving event reduces mining rewards for BTC by 50%, effectively reducing the supply of BTC. Looking at the supply and demand chart in economics, an increase in asset demand paired with a reduction in its supply typically results in an increase of the asset's price. In our case, an increase in the price of BTC.

The market will speculate about this

In the short term, there is a correction coming, as the price fails to stay above $43,418 (50% Fibonacci Retracement level), which is the minimum limit to stay at $43,000 to $48,000. Continuing to stay below this level means that the correction is a matter of time unless the price returns. For a break of $43,418.

The next prices are either $38,000 or $32,000.

Is hard to know the perfect entry
Just enter when you can by buying small units rather than buying large quantity once
Been doing this since December
Any dip i buy a small unit
Yeah it would fall but we know the likelihood of it beating $50K is 99%. The rate of increase has reduced, i would say price plays a factor though
Imagine 120% increase is around $100K .
With ETF many skeptical about Bitcoin would jump into the boat before it becomes too late. This pump would catapult most altcoins to new ATH. Even this minor increase has already created a new ATH in relatively new coins like Maverick,Wld etc.

I am not seeing the approval of Bitcoin ETF to have a long term effect on the market to the extent of having effect on the price and making it to surge. The many fake news that was released before the ETF approval made it lose its credibility before it was finally approved. I feel that is what made it not to have impact on the price of bitcoin at the time of approval. I have not yet given up on it not having an impact on the price later, but for the time being, it is advisable to keep buying bitcoin as it dips. Bitcoin halving event and the upcoming bull run will make the market be on an upward trajectory for long that will benefit all of the holders today.

As at the initial time when the Bitcoin ETF was making waves to be announced, there was a surge in  Bitcoin price which made people think that it is likely the beginning of bull run but little did they know that there will be retraction and corrections.  People who were quick to buy at that high price are likely being trapped at the moment but only those who bought to hold for a long term are the ones who would not feel any worries because they would definitely make their profit with time as long as they would not panic sell.

Fake news was an illusion perpetrated by the SEC itself, the timing was too obvious that they release that news intensionally. The investigation that was carried out by Twitter security says opposite of what SEC claimed to have happened and that means they lied, they accepted Bitcoin ETF on lies to deceive the Bitcoin community of their commitments on making Bitcoin adoptable for people.

Halving will surely impact the market but you know it's when people least expect it to pump the market it usually does pump. Miners revenue will be halve and many of them will suffer a catastrophic business in mining with loss if they don't get compensated enough. Even though traders don't want to be bullish, trust me the miners will be bullish after the halving.

ETF approval does not necessarily mean that billions will flow into the market. It is more like there being a transaction ceiling of $10,000 per day for your account, and then this ceiling was raised to $100,000 it does not mean that you will transfer more than $10,000 per day.

The story of that tweet is confusing. As long as the approval was granted 24 hours after it, why say that the account had been hacked and that approval would not occur?

So, we can expect at most ~70k over 18-24 months?  ;D
Because that's where this pattern is leading to!

That's exactly what the SEC said themselves!
Besides, if they wanted to hurt Bitcoin they would have denied the ETF, how does that even work? Is this reverso worlds?

Even though traders don't want to be bullish, trust me the miners will be bullish after the halving.

Miner here, want to swap places after the halving, cause I ain't feeling any bullishness right now! ?

The expectation of investors on bitcoin price after the approval of spot ETF was not met, as majority of them felt that once SEC approves ETF, the price will skyrocket but instead we had a correction back to 42k+. This has made some of the to be disappointed and maybe sell off their bitcoin since some bought at 45k+ due to FOMO. However, it is the halving event that will have more effect on bitcoin price because it is the halving that leads to the bull run. The price is still at an affordable price and investors should see this as an opportunity to stash up their bitcoin portfolio in preparation for the next bull run. Hodlers are not worry about this little drop in price but it is short term investors that are after quick profits, that are worried.

Maybe we should even first take away this Ethereum of a thing out of the radar for now, also we should consider less the effects of bitcoin ETF for now because the deal has been done and there's nothing to pick up on at the cause, now it's high time we focus on the halving, but before then, what are the possible expectations and after the event, the bullrun always occurs after halving, but we can buy and hodl now in preparation for that, going through the history on previous performances will give us more confirmation on that.

BTC Spot ETF will have a long-term impact, I think in the next few months, combined with the halving, the supply shock will come and BTC price will increase sharply.

However, for more than a decade, BTC has survived and maintained its bullish trend without a Spot ETF. Halving will still be a milestone for a new bullrun of BTC and the entire crypto market.

Despite the short-term fluctuations taking place with BTC and Altcoins, history shows that prices did not create a new bottom after the Halving, instead showing strong growth. I think it's time we think about BTC price at Halving and the new ATH in 2025.

Yes, you are right there. It is still good to buy bitcoin as long as you can afford to buy it if you want to hold bitcoin in the upcoming halving. But if you don't want to DCA BTC, then don't worry about the price value of Bitcoin in the upcoming halving a few months from now.

After the SEC's approval of the spot ETF, it seems that most people did not feel the change in the rise of bitcoin because many expected and thought that once approved, the value of bitcoin would rise immediately, which is not what will happen. So, this is just proof that the market is still unpredictable.

I cannot agree more with you but tbh I thought the ETF approval would be a bigger catalyst in compared to the halving event because it will drive billions of dollars into BTC but I was wrong about it because Billions of dollars have been flown into the BTC market (like BTC ETFs market) but BTC still not going up and no following the trend that you have wrote at the last paragraph and that's what I predicted but things are not happening the way they should or I think I was anticipating them wrong.

Anyway, now the big catalyst to drive the BTC price is halving only and I know it will not oppose my prediction. by the way, what do you mean by ETH ETFs being a catalyst for BTC price? I don't think the ETH's ETFs play any role in this, because BTC's price isn't influenced by ETH's developments and news, so I don't think it would be right to say ETH's ETF will drive BTC price.
This year, the BTC halving event meets other bullish events such as the BTC and ETH ETFs.

In fact, one of the things we most hope for from this Bitcoin halving event is of course a bullish era. Where usually the bullish era of cryptocurrency begins to occur after the Bitcoin halving event. Well, in this era it has something to do with price increases which may be the target for most of us to take profit after a certain period of investment. as well as the hope that prices will exceed the previous Ath on certain coins. It's as simple as that, actually one of the things why we think about and wait for the Bitcoin halving.

Yes, and per history, bitcoin block halving is the catalyst for a bull run, and so this year, we are expecting that around May, we might see some good movement, it's not a parabolic rise, but at least there are semblace that we are entering a bull run already and so the price could hit $50k or more this year. Or if the market is very bullish, we could touch our previous all time high.

And that is why everyone is very excited for this year, time for us to make money, after two years of bearish trend, now it's that time of the year again wherein everyone is very positive to look for a profit.

So expect that this year and 2025 will be bullish and we might see new ATH at $100k mininum.

One of the most expected things from the Bitcoin halving event is that there will be a bullish era in the crypto market, right? and that is something we cannot deny, that is one of the things we really hope for. However, we have struggled for several years to survive the bearish period. and in the end the bullish era that usually occurs after the Bitcoin halving is one of the triggers for us to continue to be enthusiastic and stay in cryptocurrency. Although in fact the scope should be wider than just taking profit. However, basically and normally this is related to an increase in the market.

It cannot be denied that everyone who has trusted Bitcoin hopes that there will be a surprise after the halving era, where usually there will be a surprise to provide a sharp increase, thus forming a renewable ATH.Moreover, currently there has been recognition of an ETF, which will at least provide more impetus for the increase in bitcoin. Some observers even estimate that the influence of the ETF could make the price of bitcoin reach $150K at its latest ATH achievement.
Of course, this is good news. I hope no one misses the opportunity to continue buying and holding Bitcoin.

Whatever you said about halving is correct but I think during the halving the Bitcoin's price won't be able to reach $80k in value. The Bitcoin's price may reach $60k or a little more during the halving but it's unlikely to reach $80k.

However, I'm also optimistic about the growth of Bitcoin and during halving its price will be really good for many of us. I think we won't see Bitcoin's price at $80k levels before November 2024, and who knows even it won't be able to reach $80 in November 2024 but in 2nd half of 2025.

If Bitcoin reaches $80k on the 2nd half of 2025, this practically means that the 4-year cycle has been broken, because rapid growth always occurs above the all-time high before the end of the year or at its maximum at the beginning of the new year, but this is impossible, especially with positive news. Regarding the ETF, the possibility of lowering interest rates, and the possibility of accessing more liquidity by the end of the year.

If Bitcoin reaches $80k on the 2nd half of 2025, this practically means that the 4-year cycle has been broken,

All cycles and specially arbitrary made ones are to be broken and in case of Bitcoin they have already been so, first by a new ATH happening right after the previous on in 2017 then by having the price drop below the previous two ATH so pretty much there is nothing left there to be broken other than a gain somewhere in 6-18 months after the halving which is such a low ballpark bet that probably has little to nobody interested in it anymore.

Just as the ETF was clearly priced in it's obvious the halving is also, so rather than some out of the ordinary happening prepare for a non-event, the logarithmic growth is a thing of the past, there simply, isn't enough money out there!

I personally expect after bitcoin halving we will see bullish season.
Unfortunately I didn't buy much, But will buy again at this weekend.

Well, there is something that I will consider, if when the bitcoin halving occurs, we will not be too bad if the price of bitcoin drops again, because the same thing is happening after the approvals of the ETFs, it is something that can happen, but this can the strategy of the whales, because everyone expects the opposite to happen that rises, and if in fact that will happen, but not when the masses want it, I understand those who have more sindeor in the world and can make the movements or want to make the movements Well, it will happen, but now what we must understand is that when everyone wants something to happen, the opposite happens, it is a classic and in the bitcoin market it always happens.

The best thing we can do is while these things happen, we can wait and buy, if the price of Bitcoin goes down instead of going up, then let's buy, because when it says it goes up, it will be unattainable, because the same effects that did not occur due to the approvals And because the halving cannot be maintained by the whales, it is like a pressure cooker, at some point it will rise.

Of course, those of us who work in Bitcoin believe that Bits can sometimes surprise or change someone's life. If we invest in bitcoins we must keep the investment for long term so that we can get a lot of profit from this investment in the future. Although Bitcoin is risky, we have to invest in Bitcoin with that risk so that Bitcoin can surprise us at any time.

When I have talks about the price before and after the halving with my friends, I simply say do not expect much from it in the beginning and do not be upset if you don't see the price skyrocketing, wait until the end of the year or the next year to see its impact. I know November - December generally comes with a price rise which makes things interesting to wait and see ;)

What I expect may feel a little bit weird or different but it is a lot more difficult to imagine not having that. It is the idea that it will get to a whole lot higher price which should get a ton better. I personally believe that we cant imagine not getting any lower. So the idea that it will get to ATH and much beyond which wouldnt be considered a should be normal while looking a bit wierd to expect the unexpected but it is what we should consider it normal in the crypto world and not really assume that as too high when it should be ordinary around here. When you spend enough time it becomed very normal for everyone since we all see it the way it goes for a long time after a while.

After the Bitcoin halving, the Bitcoin market will be slightly slower, as Bitcoin investors will have ample opportunity to buy. With each Bitcoin halving going into the year following Bitcoin's price peak, investors will reap huge benefits by selling their holdings. Bitcoin ETFs approved this year are likely to top $200,000 in price.

Since the approval of the Bitcoin ETF, the price of Bitcoin has increased significantly,

Say what?
I think all my charts are broken, somehow they don't only miss the increase but also point to a 10% decrease since the time of the announcement!
Are you sure you're looking at Bitcoin ?  ;D

No the best thing that you could do  if you truly believe this is what's going to happen is to sell all your coins , go in short position with the $ and wait for the halving like this, triple cash-out!, and you're going to make way more profits than waiting for a dip while at the same time seeing your assets decreasing in value!
If I would have a certified crystal globe with a full trading insurance and money back guarantee telling me Bitcoin is going down to 30k after the halving I dump everything the next moment!

The target price for Bitcoin that you mentioned is very expensive, and apparently it will be difficult to reach such an expensive price. Demand on exchanges is definitely increasing, but there are very few people who want to buy Bitcoin because there will definitely be many people who are afraid of Bitcoin because the price can collapse instantly when there is bad news, which means Bitcoin price movements are unstable, so it is very high risk when bought at a price of $200k.

That's the advantage in crypto, especially clearly, that bitcoin is not easy to predict and can provide surprises that are beyond everyone's expectations, but bitcoin has identical characteristics where it will always repeat what it has done, whether it increases or is corrected.Bitcoin is indeed a long-term investment, namely a 4-year period that always continues to change itself, so we agree with you that we must continue to maintain this investment to be able to get profits in time. But we have to be consistent and not be tempted or afraid to properly store the bitcoins we have, because usually there is always temptation in long-term investments.

Today bitcoin get another significant increasing price dropped to $39,400, its seems first time for bitcoin drop significant since ETF bitcoin spot approval and make us think will ETF give positive or negative side for bitcoin price in the future. Usually bitcoin correction few percent only and without take few days success raise to higher price again, but very dilemma for this time since ETF approval bitcoin have twice moment drop to $40k and drastically significant drop for this time until $39k.
I don't quit well sure will bitcoin raise to the higher price around $200k after ETF approval? like manipulation made by whales how to make investor panic with bitcoin price drop significantly for this time.

Have you forgotten that there are large players in the speculative market who are excellent at tracking the mood of the bulk of people? They were counting on such expectations. This is the result. Even the chart clearly shows a seller with a large amount of money who is pushing the price down:
(https://i.ibb.co/Qj1jhtv/BTCUSD-2024-01-23-09-35-04.png) (https://ibb.co/wrxr8jh)

In principle, I considered such a probabilistic scenario for the development of events. In this case, the play went against the mainstream crowd, who were expecting a rally after the ETF's approval.

Or it just shows that Bitcoin ETF is not the catalyst for a bull run simply as that. Maybe because it can be manipulated or those institutions can dump anytime they want and affected the market negatively, just like what we are seeing in the last couple of days, price goes below $40k.

So in any case, it will only proved that really the catalyst is BTC halving event, we might not see a immediate impact, but definitely the right moment will come when we see parabolic rise at the end of the year and continue to grow in 2025.

The collapse of the price of Bitcoin some time ago was due to a company called FTX, which sold all the BTC shares it owned, which were worth almost 1 million dollars. This finally resulted in a price drop and made many people shocked because there was no bad news whatsoever. Suddenly,  the price collapsed, and after careful investigation, problems were found that led to FTX's assets being sold and going bankrupt.

Bruh....Some company named FTX? 1 million dollars?
Alameda Research, owned by the same FTX was owing the exchange $10 billion dollars when that collapse, further more FTX didn't sell any Bitcoin when it crashed, it still has according to the trustee appointed 4.7 billions in crypto!
Your million number might be the 1 billion from the other day when FTX sold participations in Grayscale, 22 million shares of it , but that's a completely different deal.

Or it just shows that Bitcoin ETF is not the catalyst for a bull run simply as that.

Or we (as a community) haven't realized that we already had the bull run, that the ETF was already priced in and that in November we were at %15k so we're up by nearly 200% already!

As the halving is gradually approaching is, we have to make every efforts to see that we are also having bitcoin in our portfolios and hold them till the bullrun begins, then we can also have that courage to hold till it all happened as we expected because even during the bullrun, it will be characterized by so many activities and the market will be as ever more volatile than before, some may go ahead in making mistakes during this period if care is not taken.

In all our expectations we should also expect the presence of scammers too as lot of them will also be active in these period of the halving and am dropping this in respect of those newcomers to the crypto market. Most newbie are unaware of the situation surrounding these period, because of the much expectations of the bull market to come after the halving lots of crypto enthusiast will be eager to actually find their way around the system of HODLing and make fast and quick profits by finding new project they can buy so that when the price goes up they can have their gain but most of them will be unaware of the massive scammers just waiting around the corner to get their next victim.

This halving event will impact the price of BTC by big numbers, due to the high adoption rate, investors will invest millions of dollars due to the ETF approval but this increases the volatility of the BTC in the short term and not good for future traders. Anyway why I am caring about future traders, I don't do it and don't support it haha. I suggest those who practicing it, to avoid for sometime, unless they have a lot of funds.

The patterns you draw between the bull runs of each halving events tells us nothing but give us the hint that bull run does not start right after the halving event, it can take up to months or maybe more than a year. But this time I don't think it will take a year, market will start to gain consciousness again in the 2025's first quarter. MT gox selling and selling of BTC that US government has seized will dip the market but that will bring more funds into the BTC and after the halving such steps will increases its price in the long run.

Halving is the biggest catalyst to drive the price of BTC, I was also in Misconception that the hype of ETFs that they would drive the price of BTC very high even before the halving event but it turned out a bubble that poped easily. Media and other famous influencers played an important role in creating this hype among old and new investors. However, it was a good thing because ETFs do need their interest. Otherwise, we might not be seeing the least result we are getting now.

In the long run, I also agree that ETFs will drive BTC price as the demand is going to increase with time while the supply is going to be cut by half which will create a crisis of demand while the supply would be low. I only fear the transaction fee will skyrocket in all these good things. I don't like high transaction fees. I hope those proposed new ideas will come up with some unique way to make payments with the least transaction fee.

I'd like to point out that last time there was halving - absolutely nothing happened. Yes, maybe this time (the price will go up) - but again, this is just user speculation. Just because everyone is waiting for a miracle doesn't mean it will happen. Usually, everything happens the other way around. I agree, if the price goes below 35k, you can buy for a small % of the deposit - in the long term. If you can't wait, it's better not to buy.

Halving is 76 days away.

Yes it's true that if you invest after the market goes down and you can't hold that investment for long term then there is no need to invest because if you don't get profit from that investment then there is no point in investing. I started investing but it was long term I never invested short term. Even if the Bitcoin market goes down I have no tension because I am invested in DCA method even if the market goes down I will increase the investment and never sell the investment so whatever you do plan to hold it for the long term. Surely you will get success.

Agree. Anticipating possible corrections is a prudent approach. Keep a close eye on the market trends for any shifts.
Anything can happen in markets. It's all probabilities.
And the way these pieces could fit together is astonishing.

Intelligence isn't knowledge but how fast we learn and apply the knowledge.

Peter Schiff has proven to be consistently wrong about Bitcoin for about a decade.
Perhaps we could turn elsewhere for insight into Bitcoin value  :)

How long have you been investing with this strategy? When bitcoin has risen so much (like now), do you invest many times less? Or even in such a (so dangerous market) - do you continue to stick to the strategy DCA?

I am a bit of an advocate of this strategy. For me, it's easiest when the asset has already made -20/-30% of its high. That's when you can start to consider buying. I don't buy an asset when it has already made +20/+30% of its bottom.

P.S. I'm not trying to change your mind. Do only as you see fit. And already time will show the income/loss.

The rise and fall in the price of Bitcoin, which occurred due to bad news before the ETF was received, was a very good moment to buy Bitcoin at a cheap price, but it seems like it was arranged by the world currency authorities, who tried to make the price collapse briefly to buy at a cheap price. and after that, the price was increased again so that they quickly made a profit.

In essence, all of this is already arranged by Whales or by those who have a lot of money.
When they want to get a low price then there is a lot of FUD that will be spread and when they want to get a profit they start giving positive news about ETFs and so on.

ETFs are only a practical tool to raise or lower the price of Bitcoin.
See how the price of Bitcoin dropped when the ETF was approved, even touching $30k++ again.

But now still holding above $40k++, I expect it to reach $50k++ soon to get close to the last ATH price.

Not that quickly, way too many of you end up waiting for it to start suddenly going up right away after the halving but that ain't going to happen. Just realize that we are going to see a good increase one way or another, but we are not going to end up with anything that would benefit you right after the halving. What will be more likely result could be getting higher by autumn, around October or so. Not a lot and not in a day though, it will go on higher and higher until the end of the year, and then keep going higher after that as well. That is why we are talking about waiting for it, at least for another year after the halving until we reach our peak.

are going to experience the same or we will be having a different approach? this is the factors we need to consider this as people keeps asking what may be the now ATH and when this will be happening.

Very good point, I think it depends on the number of people who come for the first time to buy cryptocurrencies and today there are many more than before and all can not count on such a profit as it was before, but I note that altcoins can show growth much more than bitcoin.

I can't accept your argument that Altcoins are too risky to sell, because I've seen thousands of Altcoins get destroyed from the market. So I can guarantee that investing in Bitcoin will bring benefits, I can never guarantee in unique coins because their market is less and less and the project owners embezzle investors' money.

Invest in Bitcoin and earn success. Thousands of people have changed their fortunes by investing in bitcoin, I am a bitcoin holder myself and so I would recommend investing in bitcoin. I can guarantee that Bitcoin will benefit because every four years there is a Bitcoin halving cycle, and this halving will definitely increase the price of Bitcoin. Investing in Bitcoin is definitely possible to achieve success.

Comparing bitcoin with altcoins, of course I personally choose Bitcoinn because it suits me better. Bitcoin has stronger fundamentals than altcoins, even now Bitcoin provides proof that cryptocurrency can take the world by storm. The concept of decentralization and support from a strong community makes Bitcoin very solid.

In contrast to altcoins, where there are lots of altcoins with very bad fundamentals and only forcing prices to increase for the sake of profit.

Here we see a big difference in the purpose of creating the coin, where Bitcoin never aimed to increase the price, but this happened because it reflected the development of Bitcoin itself. Money is always looking for something of quality. Meanwhile, the majority of shitcoin are the opposite.

There is nothing wrong with what you said, but everyone must find the most suitable strategy for themselves to achieve success in the crypto world.

The crypto world has changed, and the popularity of Bitcoin has shot the price to the sky.
Rich people and institutions invest in Bitcoin because Bitcoin has become a Safe Haven.
But poor people like me have to look for good Altcoins to get rich first so I can buy Bitcoin in significant amounts as a Safe Haven.
This is just a matter of strategy, not about right or wrong :)
Peace

I believe that the upcoming BTC halving event, along with the recent approval of BTC ETF and the potential approval of ETH ETF, creates interesting conditions for the market. As far as I remember, halving has had a generally positive impact on the market, as Bitcoin becomes increasingly harder to mine, adding uniqueness to it. However, after the approval of BTC ETF, everyone thought we would keep going up without stopping, but it was short-lived, and we are experiencing a prolonged correction. So, one should be prepared for any scenario developments.

I just think and believe that Bitcoin's real rally will start after Bitcoin halves. Because right now, what institutional investors are doing is accumulating. So in these instances, these events can be a crucial accumulation.

All I mean is that during these times or periods, we should take advantage of being able to accumulate crypto assets other than Bitcoin because once the rally starts, no one can stop it, and we don't know how far the peak amount that Bitcoin's price value can reach.

I will not argue that investing in bitcoin is much safer, it is, I mean that buying top altcoins we can earn much more, but it is better to distribute the money and not buy one thing, even bitcoin is better not to buy one and buy some alcoins of their top 10.

Most people know that Bitcoin will be halved in the future. Bitcoin cuts its half from its own share. It happens every four years. Currently in 2024 the value of Bitcoin is 43 thousand dollars. ETF approvals can have a substantial impact on the price of Bitcoin. I think it could go over $10,000 before the halving.

I think it will be $100k. However i think near future coming Bitcoin halving In April -2024. And if we saw previous bitcoin halving Bitcoin price increased and we saw It's impact continue near about one year.
I think in future Bitcoin halving Bitcoin price will increase and all market will increase. My thinking after halving bitcoin price will increase and will hit new ATH. And it’s impact will continue minimum one year and then Bitcoin price will hit $100k. I expect after halving Bitcoin price will continue increase.

$100k isnt really that too far off honestly on which if we do tend to look at on the current price then we can really say that it isnt really that too far stretched for us to reach those points.
It is really just that this market is really just that waiting for that halving season and this is where price would be starting to climb up to the moon. You should be expecting out?
No.. There's no guarantee that it would really happen because no one really knows on what are the things that could happen into this market.

This is why it would be always best that you should really be that versatile and adaptive on whatever  things that could happen along the way. This is why it would be always important that you should really know on what you should gonna do.

Bitcoin prices can actually reach $100k, or even more. hope like that. At least our wait for investment during the bearish period can really be realized.

If we want hold for indefinite periode of time , we must have free money to support it.
I'm not big investors, just buy and hold at small amount.
at the past , $ 100K is unreached, but I believe it will reach at next year when bullish season.
It might high expectation.

At the occasion of bitcoin halving, we should not expect bullrun to start immediately at once, it may take some time and this may be at the same year or the following, but there would have been much of the high volatility and characteristics to that before, during and after to signal is the effect of halving and what we should expect anytime soon it has always been a success story after the event of every successful halving.

Yeah, a bullrun might occur next year, but when talking about ATH, I prefer the target to be a price of $100k because so far Bitcoin has never touched such an expensive price.
Even though it seems unlikely to happen, when there is good news that can trigger Bitcoin prices to rise, it will be easy to happen.

Why you are very confident about bullrun for the next year? I think the bullrun has begun since this year, we are already in bullrun season. I don't have the idea about how long to hold our coins. It depends on the personal goal, we don't need to suggest each other. Some people may expect to sell in the new ATH but some people may sell the coins soon. If you target to sell in the last ATH ($68k), I think it won't be difficult to get the target.

The bullrun has started to happen this year, but a new ATH peak will probably occur next year because, like in several previous halvings, when the price rose to its new highest price, it required a fairly long process, and it is not easy to make the price of Bitcoin very expensive because it definitely required whales to get into Bitcoin and buy it for huge amounts.

At bitcoin halving , I don't have expectation. Because I already bought bitcoin at the last year 2022 and 2023. At this year, I just research several potential altcoin, and buy altcoin if I confident to hold. During halving bitcoin will have sideway or maybe several correction, Bit I don't care. I don't want to buy more bitcoin. I only wait the bullish bsesosn next year

Yep, but I think it will be exceeded until it reaches 100k because I think the halving trend this time is quite convincing. We shouldn't have too high hopes, but this halving is really something we are all looking forward to the most. After failing with ETFs, halving could be the antidote to most people's disappointment.

I'm pretty sure the price will reach above 85k after the halving occurs. And 100k is my new target price.

In the last 5 days BTC's movement has been quite good, an increase of 10% makes some people even more convinced that this moment is getting closer. There are at least 2 more months to determine our decision until the halving moment occurs.

Currently, Bitcoin has overtaken Bitcoin 47k before the halving. Since the halving hasn't started yet in 2024, the Bitcoin price will begin its bull run in 2025, the year after the halving takes place. So based on this current situation I can predict that Bitcoin price will definitely touch 100. And it is more likely to touch the six (100000) digit price we will definitely glorify the new digit.  Everyone is halving this year and many wise people are basing their guesses on it being possible. With the 2020 halving increasing several times in price to 69K, this bull run will surely see Bitcoin price touch $100,000.

Well 47k looks like a rally to some.  But miners are headed towards a crash and burn event.
When the. 1/2 ing  comes all s19s go underwater unless your power is 5 cents.

A 141 th  s19xp earns 11.20 a day pre power
It will drop to .5.60 a day it burns 80 kwatts so at 6 cent power it will make only 5.60-4.80 just 80 cents. So in April  mknes will get shaken hard.

Phil, do you think anyone cares anymore about the miners?   ;D
Most people are just happy we're going to get less bitcoins each day so we have less to sell on the markets meaning the coins will go up!
Of course they forget that if we were getting 900 coins at 2k and we're going to get 450 at 100k we wills till have twice the amount in fiat to dump on exchanges to pay for electricity  ;D

Oh, and did you factor the next drop in the earning of the s19xp?
I'm getting 178 sat/th, that would be 8.431cents x141=$11.88 so 5.90 a day, a bit over a dollar.
Anyhow ,still a brutal thing if we don't touch at least 60k and if we don't stay still with the difficulty.

Seems like it, even in the last 5 days, BTC's price has shot up by 10% and bounced back to $47k. While many folks think this is the start of a bull run, I've got a slightly different take. I reckon the real bull run kickoff is still two months away. Right around the halving.

For now, at this price, we might still see a not-so-deep correction. Maybe in the next month. Or it could just move sideways. But one thing's for sure, my confidence grows as the halving moment approaches.

Corrections are needed to keep the market price stable and make the chart healthier.
Of course, it will not always rise, the need for correction to increase prices and prepare to go higher.

The next 2 months just when the halving will happen, this will be the determinant of the bullish actually will happen,
but of course we will not be able to see only from the halving next April, but the after-effects that we will see.
ATH is not achieved easily, it takes time and requires a larger volume to rise.

Of course there is an opportunity for Bitcoin to increase in price, but it looks like it will happen in the middle of the year because currently the price movement has weakened and there is no longer any good news that could trigger Bitcoin's price to rise. If there is good news then Bitcoin price can reach $200k 👀

It's currently at $61,728 so Bitcoin is getting stronger from that previous dip. There really is a big chance that Bitcoin will reach $85k-$100k or more at the end of the year there is no doubt about that. I don't know what makes it surge but this is the time hodlers will take advance.

My prediction may be higher than yours, because I predict bitcoin will touch $150K this year.  Maybe this is high, but the price of bitcoin after the bitcoin ETF was approved is getting stronger.  Many big investors will come in to buy bitcoin.  Because they believe the price of bitcoin will be very high during the bullish season next year.

Bitcoin is unlikely to be that cheap, Look at the supply of Bitcoin, which is very limited, and as you said, Bitcoin has very high demand, including in spot ETF, so I think Bitcoin has the potential to reach a price of $500k someday.

Nice thread, and well as bitcoin speculation, personally, I was never expecting the price of bitcoin to already be where it is today, which is currently between $60,000 and $62,000, I initially predicted that in the coming bull crycle, bitcoin price may possibly top at around $100,000 to $120,000, but with the price of bitcoin already sitting at above $60,000 even like over 40 days away from halving, and months away from the start of another bull run cycle (according to previous data), I am willing to comfortably increase my prediction up and high a bit, like legend45 said, the price of bitcoin may likely touch $150,000 dollars or more, in this coming bull run cycle.

The all time low for bitcoin in this last bear cycle was around $14,500, if bitcoin reaches $150,000 in the coming bull run, how many plus+percentage increase is that? Some good at math should please respond.

The trading volume that is coming from Bitcoin ETF traded platforms has doubled ever since Bitcoin price enter $60k and everything seems to be working well for Bitcoin, the interest of institutional investors has increased, maybe the $150k that you called is possible but I'm not too optimistic of bitcoin going that far like that, if $100k is reach there is going to be a hard correction from that level.

I also hope Bitcoin don't crash later when bad news comes up later, the institutional investors want bitcoin and we all can see that truly they want bitcoin through the exchange traded fund but it will be disappointing if it crash like it used to do, as many of them are not experienced with this crash, they may lose interest in the long run.

People will call Bitcoin holders “lucky.”
When will they realize that luck had nothing to do with it?
Not everyone can endure adversity. Our steadfast belief in Bitcoin endured trials of despair and doubt...
Hodlers accomplished what few can, and Bitcoin bring the sweet fruit.

Hard to gauge, but worth considering the implications.
Utility is the major narrative of this bull cycle, and Bitcoin Layer-2 will play this next cycle. Supply vs demand. Nothing more.

Always optimistic friends, Bitcoin will touch ATH at $ 150k, maybe even more. Optimism is good but must be realistic. When you see the current Bitcoin price before Halving has touched the $ 60k more, I think the number of new ATH $ 150k it's reasonable. But if you set a target at $ 100k, I think it will be achieved in the next few months.

if your target Bitcoin will touch ATH at $150K, that is very high, but still reasonable. Bitcoin had already touched $70K before the bitcoin halving, I estimate that at the time of the halving the price of bitcoin would be around $85K. and it's possible that $100K will be reached this year after the halving, but keep an eye on market movements. Hopefully there's no bad news

I am guessing that we are talking about a big sudden thing, and that's really not going to end up in the future. Its not like we are going to end up with like the day after the halving suddenly it goes x2 increase. That ain't the situation and should not be the situation at all. I personally believe that we are going to just slowly change, just like we are seeing right now, however it has been so far, will be how it is. I do not know if I said this before, but halving is not something that makes sudden changes so we are seeing it right now will just be what it is a month later, 2 months later and six months later as well.

Bitcoin and other crypto price movements are unpredictable, usually bitcoin will rise day after day and suddenly there will be a correction. keep monitoring the market so that we don't miss bitcoin developments. because it seems like this halving the price of bitcoin will reach $80K.

As you have mentioned, price movements are not easy to predict, but at least the traces of Bitcoin price movements from the beginning of 2009 until now can be studied and can help determine a little about the direction of Bitcoin price movements in the future. If now there has been a bull run, then The next move will be bearish and when it happens only time can tell.

If we had to study Bitcoin's footprint from 2009 to now, it's still a long time. Maybe by looking at the last 2 bullish we can see the character of bitcoin market price movements, although this is not accurate, just a prediction.

During Bitcoin's halving season, we see Bitcoin's price drop from its normal value to almost half from dumping. We see this halving every year around April. If the halving is completely in April then we are very close to the halving because it is March and the next month is April and this is usually the month of Bitcoin halving.

Other years see the market dumping from the beginning of the new year but this year we are seeing something different in that I expect Bitcoin price to touch new records instead of Bitcoin halving this year. In less than a month it doesn't look like bitcoin price will halve but looking at the market movement it looks like the market will go up.

Bitcoin halving is not a halving of the price, but a halving of rewards from bitcoin miners. With limited supply while demand will be high at that time, the price of bitcoin will be high. but it is certain that there are some corrections.

That's the way it is. A few years ago, during the halving, the price held +/- at the same level. Although, most people said that we would see +50% in a day. It doesn't always happen the way everyone expects it to happen. You should not rely on past events. The market is as unpredictable as possible, it is unrealistic to guess the exact movement on such news. But losing a deposit is quite possible.

P.S. The best strategy (in my opinion) is to be out of the market during such events. And the nerves will be saved and the deposit will be fine. In any case, it's up to each individual to decide what to do.  8)

Very correct. Many people believe the bull market begins immediately after the halving occurs, which isn't the case based on previous halving events that have occurred over the years. We haven't seen a drop yet, which I believe might happen a few days before or on the day of halving. But something tends to bother me concerning how things have been going lately. We are currently witnessing a bullish market, which is quite unusual from records. This bullish market is attributed to the huge impact of Bitcoin ETF, resulting in vast purchases of Bitcoin among companies. Don't you think there might be a little shift in the entire halving cycle in regards to the current positive situation?.

Let's look at the bitcoin halving, in my opinion both will have a significant impact. because it is difficult to compare which one is more influential. Maybe we can see it next April, we will see the price increase of bitcoin will reach what price.

+1 doc.

Which means we shouldn't expect much from the aftermath of the Bitcoin halving, but rather join the moving train as quickly as possible. There has always been a dip before halving, but this period might be different because companies like Microstrategy and Blackrock keep purchasing. News coming from their direction could be the only cause of massive dip, but won't happen anytime soon.

It is possible that the bitcoin halving will not have much of an impact on the price of bitcoin, as you said that we are riding a train that is so fast that the high demand after the bitcoin ETF will make the price of bitcoin increasingly unstoppable, it is even very difficult to predict the highest point that bitcoin will reach.

I don't think that's true because the impact of the halving this year is very clear, making the price of Bitcoin even higher and demand increasing, making it difficult for Bitcoin miners to get more Bitcoin because the halving increases the block system which is increasingly strengthened, and the existence of ETFs becomes a complement to this year's halving.

Isn't the halving going to happen next month, so currently is the impact of the bitcoin ETF, the bitcoin halving is expected to happen next month, April. I also don't really expect much about the halving, because it seems like the ETF impact is higher.

If you say that ETFs have their own FOMO, it doesn't seem like it can provide a guarantee to rise when the halving occurs because I see that currently the hype is happening because of the influence of the ETF and it is approaching the halving so that when there is good news like that it will have a very high effect on the exchange.

I will join in the discussion with you both, if I think bitcoin and bitcoin ETFs will both have a big influence on the crypto market. because I think ETFs will attract new whales who are interested in investing in bitcoin, I even read that several companies have already entered with ETFs. and the halving means that the supply of bitcoin is limited by high demand, so the price of bitcoin will soar.

I agree with you that ETFs have an influence on the movement of bitcoin, and when there is negative news from them it will cause the market to crash and conversely if there is positive news then the market will rise, in my opinion this cannot be denied because this is not just happening this time. .

But apart from all that, we are certainly happy with what is happening now. Any positive influence that comes to bitcoin will be good for us as bitcoin holders, because it will benefit us.

I am doubtful, I don't know if this sudden rise in the market will make things good for Bitcoin because it has risen due to the effect of the ETF s, I had read that the effect of the Bitcoin approvals will occur in 6 months, and that many I hope that in 3 or 4 months, although the rise this time exceeded the previous ATH and although right now it is falling in price a little, it may be that a good Correction occurs, as well as a bullish start with more force, everything It is in the possibilities of what happens,

I am inclined to say that if the price has dropped now, then it is time to buy, there is no other option, and if the price continues to drop, then you should continue buying, you should not miss the opportunity , when Bitcoin rises in price, everyone in the world will regret not buying before, whatever the effect of the market , For ETF or something like that, you should Buy.

If you look at the history of Bitcoin price movements, it is currently at a high price and if it enters at the current price then there is the potential for being trapped. I prefer to keep waiting until the price of Bitcoin falls back to $20k again and you can buy as much as possible. After that, store your wallet in the safest place because it will be stored for the long term, maybe 10 years.

Well, it's the sentiment of the investors towards the upcoming, and the past events that makes the price of Bitcoin go up.
Investors take the acceptance of a Bitcoin ETF as positive thus, they are buying more Bitcoin. Investors take the upcoming Bitcoin halving event as positive that's why they're buying, and we just saw a surge of Bitcoin's price a few days ago which is just insane knowing that the event isn't happening yet.

TBH, I knew already that we will go down after that price surge that happened a few days ago, and this is also the reason why I kept some USDT on my Binance account to take the opportunity, and I'm lucky that I got it right. I already bought more BTC in preparation for the bull run. Now what can I expect for the halving event. None TBH. Nothing will happen TBH a few days after the event. If you're an investor, you will felt nothing a few days or weeks after the halving, but what will feel the effect the most are the miners because they're profitability is already cut into half.

You will feel the impact of the halving event months after the event. As for the others, don't expect too much, and continue accumulating more Bitcoin. :)

No doubt about it. Everyone decides when to buy/when to sell. Everything also depends on investments + expectations of % income to deposit, so everything is individual. In that respect, you are absolutely correct about everything. I have nothing to add, I also hold the same opinion. I have adhered and will continue to adhere to risk management in any asset.  8)

Small stats on losses/gains Over the last 900 days (short-termers 155 days or less) have sold on exchanges:

16.1 mln BTC in loss
12.9 mln BTC in profit

We have seen few months back Bitcoin price dropping to $20k and then making a strong rebound. We can't say that Bitcoin may again go back to $20k this time. Even if that happens it will take considerable time.
Halving is about 33 days from today and already Bitcoin price is revolving around its ATH. Historically Bitcoin price goes up after halving but it takes time not immediately.
This halving is different from previous halving's may be because many people are waiting for this event.

Price was down few months ago and there was a dip that caused the bitcoin price to reduced to 26k$ but after that we see a huge pump  of 73k$ between which there was a regular pump and dump mechanism but now we are satisfied that it will not go so down to turn into 26k$ or lower before halving.

Bitcoin price is still lower than its previous ATH of 69k$ but now a month is left for halving and definitely we will see huge pump that will increase the price of every coin. This time the price will be higher than previous ATH and halving will be different because currently the demands for bitcoin is far higher than that of at previous halving.

P.S. What are your thoughts now? After the bitcoin price has been falling for days on end. Do you think we'll be back in the 70,000$ to 74,000$ range? Also if you think absolutely the opposite, you can write too. Anything you think about this news and so on. It's interesting to read everyone's thoughts.  8)

Exactly. This cycle is quite unusual due to the impact of ETF, but that doesn't mean that we all neglect the aftermath of what Bitcoin halving might do. The ETF impact was just so massive that we couldn't picture a better price after the halving. But it seems price of Bitcoin is currently dropping, which means some Whales might be dumping ahead of the halving. Currently $63K, and maybe another waiting period to get a perfect time to buy and stack ahead.

It all depends on each person's strategy and price target.
The price now may be high enough and very good to take some of the profits,
but for some people the price is still less, and they are still targeting an even higher ATH.

Halving is indeed a reference to whether the market will be bullish again or not,
now, before the halving occurs, Bitcoin has reached a new ATH at the price of $ 70k ++.

Some cycles may change, but the history of the market in the past becomes a reference to how the market will be in the future.
Must be responsible with all choices made, make sure you hold the advantage.

Price was down few months ago and there was a dip that caused the bitcoin price to reduced to 26k$ but after that we see a huge pump  of 73k$ between which there was a regular pump and dump mechanism but now we are satisfied that it will not go so down to turn into 26k$ or lower before halving.

Bitcoin price is still lower than its previous ATH of 69k$ but now a month is left for halving and definitely we will see huge pump that will increase the price of every coin. This time the price will be higher than previous ATH and halving will be different because currently the demands for bitcoin is far higher than that of at previous halving.

The bitcoin community has grown over the period of time and now there are more people in bitcoin ecosystem then ever. Normally bitcoin prices touches ATH after few months of halving but this time already price of Bitcoin is at ATH and we are one month away from halving. This is extraordinary situation and never happened before. Those who have bitcoins in there possession must HODL because IMO the biggest bull run is yet to come after halving.

A fairly large price increase will probably occur within the next year because up to now the price of bitcoin is still likely to fall, halving has many impacts that make anything possible happen, in the next few days the price of bitcoin could rise and fall without you knowing exactly. Hodl is the right move to keep waiting for bitcoin to reach a very high price, soon.

The market is fluctuating greatly and after reduction from 73k$ to 61k$ we have not seen such a huge price again but price is rotating between 61k$ and 67k$ which means that for a week or more we saw down movement.

Big event of pumping market is coming but it is also an assumption not guaranteed. We can only prepare our holding for pumping season but we cannot identify in advance that during halving what will be the situations. Most of the people get feared currently by experiencing such a dip and they have sold their bitcoin already.

If buying rate remain same or increases then we will soon see a pump and after halving situations will become favorable for all of us.

Price corrections are normal and this is the main thing that you would really be needing to familiarize first before you would really be tending to deal up with those price market volatility because if you dont make yourself that emotionally prepared then you are really that susceptible to those bad decisions in regarding into your positions because you would really be anticipating on something which is really that unpredictable. What to expect? Expect the unexpected as always because we are dealing into a thing that we dont really even know on what would
happen in tomorrow. Make yourself that wary into those factors on which it could affect out market movements.

Actually, what I see is that bitcoin looks stable at $61K-$67K because whales are still waiting for the right moment to increase the price of bitcoin. Because it seems like bitcoin holders are still waiting for the bitcoin halving. but I have confidence that bitcoin will rise even higher after the halving perhaps reaching a price above $80K.

I'm worried that when the price of bitcoin after the halving occurs, there will be no power to increase the price and it will actually cause the price to collapse. Usually the price of bitcoin will rise again when the impact is felt, making it increasingly difficult to get bitcoin and that often happens every year after the halving. So that the price will automatically be increased by miners and whales.

How do you know the whales' manipulation was predictable? Sometimes you assume that BTC seems to be held at a certain price range, but in fact this is a form of market manipulation that has been commonplace for a long time. If we talk about cycles, of course we will see a market price correction when Bitcoin is about to experience a halving, and I think this will also happen with this year's halving.

As holders, our focus is not the current price, but the market response when the halving occurs. Will it still be the same bullish as before, or is it just a prank? Everyone seems to have crazy predictions, therefore I hope whales don't manipulate the market with price movements that reverse many people's predictions.

It's because of halving and rewards for the miners are cut in half and that makes more the bitcoins that we're holding scarcer. Before three decimals worth of bitcoin are just ignored, now, they're having that much value and so on with those that owns whole and more bitcoin. Expect those drops are normal and they're needed to happen just as what we are seeing right now, it's not going to be easy to see its price move a lot but then it is imminent to see higher price.

Yes, as you said, with this halving, it will be increasingly difficult to get bitcoin, therefore logically the price of bitcoin should increase very high because the supply of bitcoin is increasingly limited and it is increasingly difficult to get bitcoin while demand is still increasing every day.

It should be like that, when the bitcoin halving bitcoin supply will be limited and demand will increase, the price of bitcoin should rise. but currently we see a red market and many prices have experienced a decline after the bitcoin halving. Is this because of the war news or because of inflation?
