Forum Court / Re: What to do if you are banned ?
« on: July 25, 2018, 04:32:16 AM »
I see a lot of posts there from people banned literally for nothing and nobody responds to their emails even if they paid for a special "unbanme" bitcoin address. We have to learn from their mistakes.

I have slightly different case and was wondering if I ought to send PM to a judge for impartial decision/answer on why an action was taken against my account, right after I reported a user who plagiarized a post of mine, verbatim (word for word exactly)... it was right on the next page of the thread and impossible to miss if reading up on a followed thread.

Shocking to me as that was, I searched through their posts (only a few of them) and found again another post that was copied entirely from a crypto news blog.
Two additional posts also used verbatim, copied sentences for main part of post,
without quotes and citing the source; which lends credibility and backs up with research what one is posting rather than leaving it as if it is your own writing which leaves a negative connotation.

No action was taken against reported user's account, when it states this is a blatant violation of the rules for which one can even be banned or will be in the case of stealing other member's works/writing, etc. and presenting as their own.

It's been several days now. Nepotism comes to mind here, although that is not an accusation or FUD... goes against your rules which are very deliberate regarding this topic.

SPARTA / Re: How to mine the SPARTA...???
« on: July 19, 2018, 01:39:01 AM »
come on guys...
...

You can mine ethereum and use it to buy sparta!

Now that's a really great idea and applies to this situation, since as already stated, SPATA is not mineable. 8)

Thank you for the heads up on this. Good to know for sure with the number of scams in the crypto world increasing tenfold since last year.

I looked at each of the exchanges listed on the website, which seem to all still have active ETH-SPARTA listings. I guess it is the nature by which the token is used that it isn't trading often. The last trades I located were on 29 June of this year, and the ones just prior to that were approximately 17 days earlier, so there are long gaps of no activity with this market pair and/or it is sporadic.

Sparta Projects / Re: BabyMy - Crowdsource education
« on: July 16, 2018, 01:48:44 AM »
A platform for creating educational multimedia content,
business model: subscription based & Freemium

website:
http://babymy.org/

Just came across this thread from awhile back and took a look at the pseudo website.

I agree it is an interesting concept, not entirely new but with potential to be executed in a way that is unique.

Was this a SPARTA ICO incubated project at one point, still is, or one of the business that did not make it? It seems as if just a prototype stage.

There's a circumstances happen if the bitcoin legalize, first the changes of the government way how to manage ,secondly what people reacting the changing of government ways lastly mostly of the people there's no knowledge about the bitcoin.

There will be a lot of discussion going on about such issues in the coming years, including this one.

Are you trying to express how will economies handle the Bitcoin? I'm not sure I understand, although this is all fairly new to all of us. I will try and address your points and we can keep the topic moving since I certainly don't know it all.

This applies to all cryptocurrency not just Bitcoin (this is an altcoin forum).

1 & 2. Governments have already reacted and the threat is various types of imposed regulations that are currently not in place, including the possibility of declaring it illegal.

 - Reactions are mainly by people already involved as investors, exchanges, early adopters who own a lot (whales) and don't want to see their investments devalued to due illegality alone. There is less money coming into the market due to fear of pending regulations. Some exchanges are physically moving to neutral countries to lessen any chances that they will encounter problems.

3. A large sector of the population does not know how cryptocurrency, or Bitcoin, works; or have any knowledge about them.

- People will learn and by the time there is widespread adoption of using cryptocurrency to purchase everyday goods and services it will be as simple as using a debit card. This is independent of any imposed government regulation

Sorting Box / Re: KYC of bounty hunters
« on: July 08, 2018, 05:24:01 AM »
I agree with most of what's been posted and do not believe that KYC process is necessary, or should be required, for the purposes of bounties.

It is actually mostly to track very large amounts of cash, fiat, that instead of showing up as a bank deposit (laws in many countries already exist regarding that, i.e., where did all that $$ come from - monitoring) if the single amount is > $10,000.00 USD.

In the crypto world the exchange is where one can, if engaging in illegal cash activity, deposit a very large amount way above $10k and can avoid it being detected, traced to them, and therefore either:

1. After withdrawal, it is money laundered since there will be a record of where the money now came from... or better purchase something tangible, a car, a house. No more illegal money.

2. Use largely as a means to evade tax evasion; often it will be both no.1 and no.2.

But since the vast majority of people, even those in crypto, are not using it for engaging in illegal purposes it does seem an invasion of privacy.

So, no it should not be done for bounty. But KYC upon opening exchange account or ICO, is likely here to stay and a way for govt's to get those reports of deposits above said amount to check against lists of known criminals for drug, human trafficking and money laundering.

Now, indeed, many countries are not ready to accept Bitcoin, but gradually the countries with developed economies are making changes to their legislation in order to tax profits from income from crypto currencies...

Bingo!
You've hit it right on as far as I see it as well.

However, there is a dichotomy to this as first it may have seemed simpler for govt's to outlaw and declare illegal the use of Bitcoin rather than having to regulate it. Now they have people learning as much about the technology as possible (the deep web was a US govt project to begin with) to attempt any future regulations and still be able to track money laundering and the like.

But they really want us to pay taxes on the gains... that's pretty simple, and if there is no way for them to go after someone for large amounts of tax evasion that would be difficult. There are regulations newly in place that put the responsibility of tracking who is putting how much fiat into, and taking out of, the market onto the exchanges themselves. Whether or not the exchanges will be automatically required to do reporting to some governmental agencies remains to be seen.

I believe there will be continued attempts in regulation of one kind or another, for consumer protectionism if nothing else, continued crack downs on fraudulently illegal money scams concealed as ICOs or other airdrop mechanisms where one is asked to send 1 BTC and receive 5 BTC in return (those are all scams and sometimes the cybercriminals are caught).

It will arrive in your wallet once distributed and there will be a listing price which you can compare to what you have and then calculate the value.

Hello, thanks for an answer. What do you mean by a "listing price"?

Forum Announcements / Re: Roadmap & Whitepaper
« on: July 05, 2018, 04:14:13 PM »
This is a work in progress, there are always alot of things to do. A simple roadmap have been planned for the short-term:
  • Forum Launch - done
  • Youtube Channel Launch - October 2017
  • Simple social media content - October 2017
  • ICO/Crypto related show YT/FB - October/November  2017
  • EDIT - White Paper - 2018?
  • Crypto & Altcoins events - 2018
  • Mobile App -2018

Well I do still think that a good, detailed white paper will help... I always look for one myself, although admittedly I have become involved with start-ups that were still in the process of developing one. Most of the parts and pieces, graphics, about, how the company operates - what they do, hopefully who are the key team members.... much of that is in the website.

A draft is fine as a start of course, but someone, with the help of the management team, ought to have it down as a priority.

Maybe it is what I see now on the BCT ANN (since this post is over 6 months old) which can be wrapped up into a white paper with some polishing and going over it to ensure it includes all pertinent details that are available.

NOTE: The EDIT - White Paper - 2018? line was inserted by me! NOT official.

Funny, I just found this post... good idea though, and more fun to guess before instead of after the fact.

At any rate my thought was $600-$650 for the poll, based on how things were going late February and March when I believe ETH was still in the $800s, down from the ath and after any corrections or fluctuations, by March we saw BTC almost hit bottom.

Once Bitcoin started declining, then bouncing up and down within a $1K range and moving sideways while still declining not meet with $9k support (or even $8k) I def didn't think we'd see ETH back at the $1k mark.

wish you all the best about this project, waiting for mobile app to launch  :)

Soon the Mobile App will be in high demand for ease of access!

EDIT: This probably should've merged with the post below... don't know what happened.

SPARTA / Re: How can I know How much Sparta I earned?
« on: May 15, 2018, 04:51:57 AM »
Can we not get one of their attention to answer the question here, or is there a more appropriate thread?

This seems like a basic operational question and one that any member will need to know, so if it is already posted on a "rules" or "how to" page, can a link be posted here please?
AS IN:
  • How to Earn
  • Where to store (hopefully some kind of wallet or is it an internal one, I believe it is, until we withdraw?)
  • Coin: ER20? (I'll review the coin stats info. on the main web page or a forum, I've seen it)
  • How to Withdraw, staking, etc.
I apologize if this information is posted all in the same place elsewhere, but by the comments it must not be so easy to find.
Thanks.

Does the '@' symbol followed by name work on this forum?

Sparta Projects / Re: AltcoinsTalks a crypto-revenue sharing forum

I'm new here but this seems like an incredible project so far... hope it rings as true as it sounds. Looking forward to participating with other members to tackle what needs to be done.

Never thought I'd say this, but I agree with @ahirice about these forums being held in the context of a message board format rather than a full social media platform. There are enough egos in that arena ;)
