20 days ago, Tornado Cash developer Alexey Pertsev has been found guilty of laundering $1.2 billion. It's a bit crazy to punish a developer for developing the code.
That's not the first time they have gone after the developer of the program, they have done worse i.e going after the developer of  Silk Road's developer Ross. They have punished him more than the expected punishment. I don't know what has changed now that they are not punishing to the same extent now. I think their minds have been changed now. With time laws modify themselves.
I also thought about Ross for comparison. Probably the main difference in the verdict is how Ross actually tried to hide his operation from the Government. I don't agree with the double life but from the the documentary I watched about how they were able to track him and his deep involvement with Silk Road, I can say he deserves longer prison time than Alex.

When it comes to donors like Vitalik, I doubt they will go after him.

I caught a glimpse of the face off of Costa and Strickland from the ceremonial weigh-in. Based on what they said that time, it's going to be a stand-up fight. I doubt anybody is going to take the other guy down and it's going to be an exciting brawl.

Dustin looked intense showing he really wants that belt while Islam is just calm and just wants to do all the talking in the Octagon.

I read some parts of the interview of the Dortmund manager, I must say he doesn't exude confidence. I don't a real winning mentality there but I don't know if that's just him trying to be humble and passive or just someone content on a good performance. Anyway, I think his approach to the game will be to defend and defend and defend  ;D

Cardano Forum / Re: Is Cardano better than ethereum?
« on: May 31, 2024, 11:23:54 PM »
I also have both ethereum and cardano in my wallet. I also plan to hold on to the funds until early next year, waiting for the bullish season. I have a target of selling my ethereum at $7K and cardano at $2.5.
I also think that the peak of this cycle will come in early next year, but I'm curious about why you expect ETH to reach a new ATH in this bullrun but are bearish on the future of ADA. In the bullrun 2021, ADA hit an ATH of $3.1, is there any reason why ADA could not hit a new ATH above $3.1 in this bullrun? For me, Cardano is developing strongly in both technology and ecosystem, ADA will be better supported and can easily reach a new ATH in the $5-6 zone, even though ADA's recovery in recent times has not been as impressive as ETH's.
Selling at $2.50 is probably just a conservative approach. Development in tech and the growing ecosystem is a good indication but there is not a lot of hype around Cardano at the moment. That is one major reason why some people I've talked to view ADA as a slow horse and might not be the best choice if you want to maximize profits until early next year.

Anyway, it's still a profit if you sell at that price.

Ethereum Forum / Re: CAN I EARN JUST BY HOLDING MY ETHEREUM

As others have said, airdrop is one of the better options instead of just letting it sit in your wallet. There are a lot of newer projects that are offering airdrops if you stake on their pools and many people have earned decent amounts from airdrops alone. Again, be sure to pick the trusted platforms.

Funny how Luka and Kyrie both scored 36 points while ANT and KAT dropped 28 points each. The point difference between the key players of each team almost made up the gap in total score.

Anyway, I'm glad that at least my bets on this series ended up with a win.

~
Not yet time ANT but for sure he will have his moments on the years to come but not now.
He made crucial errors that cost them the series but yeah, he's still young. Hopefully, the Wolves management don't make too much changes to the team.

Ethereum Forum / Re: Is this a good time to buy/stake ETH?
« on: May 30, 2024, 11:10:28 PM »
There have always been ups and downs in the crypto space and even stable coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum have not been immuned.
Nobody caught this? Since you already know that BTC and ETH prices fluctuates, how can you still call them as stable coins?

As to the question in the OP, it's not a bad idea but just be mindful of the risks of putting ETH in centralized or semi-decentralized staking platforms. Make sure also that you choose a flexible term that allows you to withdraw at anytime.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Trump Supporting Bitcoin, Crypto

~ If you base your voting on bitcoin itself, then you are making a big mistake, and I would say that we shouldn't d that at all. We should look at a lot more important stuff and make our decisions based on that.
If a candidate asking for your vote says in his campaign speech that he plans to push for laws that will close down all centralized exchanges and crypto-fiat P2P in your country because he thinks it's bad for the economy, would you honestly think of anything else why not to vote for him?

That would be an automatic no for me. No other campaign promises, that might be good, matter after a speech like that.

I don't even know what these blockchain based projects, that claims to be centered on AI, actually does that's unique or helpful. I think many of those who invest in these tokens don't even care about that ;D I also agree that many of them might have just inserted the word because it's the trend.

11
Can there be things we can do as individual cryptocurrency supporters to help in limiting the reach of these ever adaptive and enticing scams? Or should we resigned to accept that this is already a normal way of life in this industry?
There's always a way to help no matter how small or insignificant the effort is. I get some private messages sometimes asking me what I think about a certain project or a trading platform and give my 2 cents. I find most of these projects referred to me as fishy/shady and so maybe I was able to help some of them avoid losing their money.

As to acceptance, yeah, scams are everywhere and we cannot help everyone. Let their own experience teach them a hard lesson.

Anyway, betting on the Wolves on this one might be attractive knowing that it's their home, but the Wolves have a record of 3-4 on their home this playoff (lost twice on Denver, and Dallas both in Game's 1 & 2).
The last time I checked, ML was around 1.50 but I already lost confidence in in their capacity to beat the Mavs at home. They might win but I don't find the odds as attractive and I don't think it's wise to bet on them on a - handicap.

Dortmund is definitely making very thorough preparations at the moment. But their careful preparation will not necessarily make them superior. But at least they have to provide strong resistance to Real Madrid. And didn't disappoint the crowd in the UCL Final. And Dortmund should also be able to enjoy the match more. Because it was a rare moment for them to get to the UCL Final.
The rumors are that Dortmund coach Edin Terzić is really thinking outside the box for the training, making his first team players train against the second team set up in the formation that Real Madrid plays and making them all wear white so that the first team players become used to Real Madrid and their traditional white attire before the finals. All the statistics favor Real Madrid but I would not doubt that money and their ability to cause an upset. Their journey to the final is not just luck they have worked hard for it and they deserve to be here.
It's a pretty unique training method. And it seems that this training is also designed to make the players mentally stronger. Well, the coach realizes that it is very rare for Dortmund to reach the Final. So he definitely realizes that very thorough preparation is needed and it's not just about performance but the players' mentality also needs to be strengthened. So it is very natural that the training methods used are also slightly different.
I'm still confused as to how that method is out of the box or unique? Don't football teams around the world use their reserves to train with the first team from time to time? Changing the color of their shirt doesn't look like it makes any difference. These players had a lot of games under their belt already that they wouldn't be bothered what their opponent wears.

It seems total prison time and fine he receive is far lighter than Sam, even though he had high position on FTX. Your opinion is greatly appreciated.
Not a surprise to me because he probably helped a lot during the investigation. The higher his position most likely meant he had the strongest evidence that was used against SBF and his testimony holds more weight.

They probably do not have a lot of customers that transact with cryptocurrencies and so they don't want to deal with the headache that may potentially arise from it. Maybe the benefits do not outweigh the possible costs from their analysis that's why they came to that conclusion. Anyway, just let them be. They might change their view in the future and issue a new policy favorable for crypto investors.
