The Italian government intends to allocate 1 billion euros to support startups working in the areas of blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), as well as virtual and augmented reality (VR / AR).
Almost 2 months ago, Italy joined the European Blockchain Partnership countries. To date, 27 countries have signed a partnership declaration: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain , Sweden, United Kingdom, Greece, Romania, Denmark, Cyprus and Italy. The blockchain-partnership of the European Blockchain Partnership itself was created in April 2018 as a mechanism for cooperation between the EU countries in the development and implementation of blockchain technologies.
