Title: IOTA and Horizen bring IOTA oracles to other blockchains
Post by: Ferki on March 07, 2021, 10:59:16 AM
IOTA has agreed on a cooperation with the blockchain provider Horizen in order to make its own oracles for feeding real-time data into smart contracts usable for other blockchains. IOTA announced this in a blog post on March 1st.

Horizen describes itself as one of the most secure blockchain ecosystems with one of the largest and most decentralized node infrastructures in the industry. With its Zendoo sidechain technology, Horizen offers all the necessary components for the simple use of fully customizable blockchains. With ZEN, Horizen also has its own cryptocurrency, the price of which is currently 42.97 US dollars.

IOTA is open to blockchains

As part of the partnership, the partners want to exchange expertise “in order to expand into areas that are beneficial for both ecosystems”.

The first goal is to make the IOTA Oracle functionality available for applications on the Horizen sidechains. This should happen in two phases. As a first step, the plan is to integrate the IOTA Oracles feed into a proof-of-concept of a horizon sidechain. A second phase provides for the integration of the IOTA oracles directly into the Horizen Sidechains SDK. In this way, the IOTA should make oracles as an option “available to everyone who starts a Horizen sidechain”, writes IOTA.

IOTA oracles should enable real-time data in smart contracts

IOTA had only announced its own oracles for feeding real-time data into smart contracts on the Tangle network at the beginning of February. In contrast to many blockchain oracles, the Tangle with the IOTA oracles offers a number of advantages, such as free transactions and processing almost in real time.

The IOTA team announced that the 2.0 DevNet has been launched as of wednesday. No transaction fees will be paid during the experimental work on the IOTA 2.0 DevNet. As far as I understand this is DevNet,it is the first fully decentralized, scalable and transaction free IOTA network. ? https://twitter.com/iota/status/1400070431441358859

The Chrysalis update is considered to be the biggest update in IOTA's history and will provide a better platform for entire community. I have been buying MIOTA since April and am waiting for a breakout in MIOTA price this summer. The positive news will attract investors and bring MIOTA price to $4 soon.
