2. What wallets do you use to store up your treasure?
So many fake wallets are in existence today, and these apps were created by scammers as a trap to withdraw every single coin you have stored into it. Watch the type of DExs of CExs wallets you use to store up your coins.
When a new technology is having an uprise, it’s not out of place that it would be persecuted and leveraged by anyone and everyone who sees an opportunity within that space, legally or illegally.
Scammers have been everywhere and some means by which they’ve been able to divert user funds is by creating these cloned wallets.
Scammers basically clone wallets, websites and create fake investment platforms to trick you into having the confusion that it’s the original and with the irreversible nature of cryptocurrency transactions, once it’s sent and have got a single confirmation on it, it’s no longer within your rights to own it.

Hence. It’s become of great importance to do roper research on what wallet or site you’re saving or investing your money as, these clones does exists and is a window for losses. Always looking up for official website and downloads from there links has been some ways to save yourself the trouble.

I read somewhere that it is possible to restore your own and even other people’s Bitcoin wallets. There is special software. One guy showed how, using a special “hayakabtcrack” program, he recovered a wallet that had 31.5 btc, but I just can’t find this program. Maybe someone has it?
My best guess on who has or where you could find such program is the person who told you this could be possible.

Seriously, you don’t get to restore or crack a wallet without having some real details of that wallet yourself. Either as the owner or haven’t been given this piece of information which includes, the public address and possibly if the wallet is custodian, you seek help from support, maybe brute force it for password and maybe have a go at it from linked emails. Or should it be none custodian, you could as well brute force for password on your hard device or hard drive having this wallet, should you have missed just a few words from your seed phrases, you try a few guesses, maybe use some programs else,
You ain’t going no where with wallet restoration.
Your best option still remains that you keep your private key and seed phrases safe and private.

Should wallet restoration be some ease to access or archive thing, you would find so many investors investing in crypto. You don’t want your money to be where it could disappear all of a sudden.

Anyways, this is in response to all the applicants that applied for a recent campaign I launched. I realize that nearly everyone is here looking to make a dollar, myself included. I have no issues with that and I don't feel like anyone else does either. The issue is, don't make it look like that is all you are here for. This is a growing community and it has more value than chasing the dollar.

Well your right, it’s a growing community and it should be respected as, just posting like one who is required to doesn’t do much good to the quality of information that would be published in this space and it doesn’t tell so well of the space with regards to quality of informative information that one might find so yes, your obviously right about that.

Somehow, this is expected, it’s wrong but, given the fact that some handful number of users here joined up in this community from Bitcointalk and mainly after the ban on mixers, some joined by invites from the mixers campaign managers, invite from friends and few from referrals, just to tray the dollar, it’s expected that you would find users here doing what needs done to chase the dollar.
I got here after the supposed scandal with the mixers, it took a whole reasoning between myself if this is where I would want to be before I joined up and I must say, I find the space richly informative too and not just about altcoins but the technology of the cryptospace.

So yeah, it does a lot of good, bringing this thread to public notice, to some how instill why there should be a change in user approach to the community and maybe, we would have this community measure up with the likes of Bitcointalk. That would be something most of us would like and would increase participation.

You’ve taken your time to put together some need to be considered active and community member so, hope users here find this.

Oh wow!

Never knew it was a subject to modification issue. Anyway, I just did the modification and the result on this post would tell me if it worked as intended.

I would have liked it though should it be the default settings and not just the one about hiding messages from ignored users if, many users would need this set up in the end.

Suggestion Box / Is it really best this way?
« on: March 13, 2024, 10:48:40 AM »
Just something I noticed from the very first day I joined here.

Having been in few forums, I noticed that, immediately one gets to make a post on this forum, your taken right out of the thread rather than been given the chance to have a quick glance of what post you just made. Like, you only get to view your post should you click right back into the thread. This applies to you starting a thread of your own or making comments on a thread.

Truth is, after making a post, be it thread or comment, we as humans often tends to go through it very quickly when we have the time to see if it was as intended and to spot errors. Though by the design we’ve got now, it’s just a click away but, I would suggest it not to have been so.

Suggestion;
The forum by design should be in such a way that, it presents you with your most recent post after posting rather than taking you out of the thread, only to click and get back in. That’s not a very appreciated function.

If it matters to anyone, I’ll like to hear your thoughts and home the admin here see if there is any validity to necessitate some changes.

Bugs & Tech support / Zoom in, gets zoomed out!
« on: March 13, 2024, 10:30:29 AM »
At the point of creating this thread, I had to try again and was met with same problems still!

So I just accessed the forum using a Chrome browser, actually wasn’t lodged in at the time so, I was a guest visitor, checking on few posts that had some activities on them to have had over a 20pages turn over.
It’s not new how the alphanumeric writings could be tiny on the forum and to access certain pages for responses, you need to zoom on it to be able to click on your device.

I tried zooming on a few number pages and it instantly zoomed me out. Of course I did several triers and had the same result while using Chrome Browser. I switched to Firefox, DuckDock, Operamini and had no problems but, it persisted in Chrome Browser. Why is that?

Is/has anyone experienced the same problem?

Economics , Sociology & Politics / Re: Food Shortage
« on: March 12, 2024, 02:04:32 PM »

If you’ve ever been to the high ways linking several major cities to see the trucks and trailers of food that is been transported into the urbanized cities, you wouldn’t give much attention to food shortages.

It exists non the less but, it’s very minimal. Most times, we tend to project agriculture like it’s not been given much attention, simply because most students don’t take it for a career option these days except for some supplementary admission but, life also have pushed a lot of others into various forms of farming.

The worst enemy to agriculture and consequently food shortage is war. Wars like we have between Israel and Gaza. Where towns and villages found within the hot region aren’t given any chance to tend to their crops or livestocks and food isn’t been allowed into the cities.

Agriculture have got support, there is food but, most people just can’t afford them. That’s the bitter truth!

What do you think?
I tend to agree with you.

It’s hard to go through life without getting to know yourself. Deceit they say have it’s worst kind when it applies to self, self deceit. There isn’t any much difference from self deceit than one going through life without knowing him or herself.

You would find yourself floating in the wind and straws of the society, easily influence, struggling to feel among and having little time to reflect on what you really want as a person.
This becomes your reality rather than finding some real purpose for yourself. Hence, it becomes a major priority for someone to be in agreement with himself or herself in order to go through life easily and with a definite purpose.

Economics , Sociology & Politics / Re: Set your budget.
« on: March 12, 2024, 01:30:35 PM »
Spending above your budget in a bad economy is not good for your financial stability, rather it can affect you financially. Many people set budget to meet up, to ensure that the, don't mismanage funds, but in our society today most people go through financial difficulties because they fail to set budgets for Spending and at the end of the day, they spend more than their income, making them to take loans and go to bankruptcy.
What do you think about setting your budgets?
Obviously, there is hardly anyone whom is endowed with the ability to earn an income and doesn’t do some form of budgeting. Everyone has a budget eventually, that’s if you’ve got some job that pays regular wages. It’s either your pay is enough or not and in most cases, it’s not usually enough. The changing economy catches up to you eventually. You can’t completely get all your expenses into a budget, some things fall in between the lines, some friend might seek a helping hand and others might be unforeseen accidents or incidents.

The catch is,
Though these were out of foresight, it’s effect still could be minimized.
In having a budget, you plan to have some surplus to account for these unforeseen expenses. These would reduce the excesses that comes with expenses and that’s how you find yourself lost in budgeting and mostly not having to meet up with the excess. Even in that, you still have to try.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Fee Finally Down below 40 Sat/vb
« on: January 16, 2024, 09:41:43 AM »

Omg I was hoping to never see a 500 sat/vB transaction again  :D

I think fees now are being controlled mostly by ordinals, not normal transactions demand.
Only crazy people will approve a 500 sat/vB transaction, or those who don't know that the transaction will drain their assets for fees only.

Ordinals only create bottlenecks, no good impact, just pile up transactions that never get completed.
That could be the case but, some users wouldn't care more due to just how much they would have as there holdings and the volume of transaction that is to be done which I think would be very wrong of them.
If they could actually value this, they would realise just how it's highly unnecessary for anyone to use 500sat/byte for a transaction fee no matter the congested nature of the network. Exchanges don't even use a little more than the required threshold to have there transactions confirmed in a minute.
Check the mempool, make the calculations and you just would be using the appropriate fee no matter the volume.

When will the Ordinal end?
It is possible that it will remain part of Bitcoin or just be part of history and will be removed from Bitcoin.
Some transaction fees I made increased 10x from the previous transaction.
I think bring a part of history would be the closest possibility and something plausible for Bitcoin. Its been discouraging and defeating to Bitcoin's use case for a means of day to day in p2p payments as, its reflected in fee hence, its only normal that it be dropped or moderated.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Bitcoin Dump Signifcant After Halving
« on: January 16, 2024, 09:26:51 AM »
It is almost natural for humans and in this case pro Bitcoin investors to have some number of expectation on Bitcoin. History have thought us that, we don't get to experience a bear market after the halving as; having a significant drop up to $22,000 from current price, that's way half of the price and that puts price back within the bear markets zone.

That haven't been the case if we look at what the charts has dine previously.  What we often have is a slight drop, followed by a push from the pulls to set new highs and records.

In the event  that history doesn't get to repeat, it becomes easy still to bank on the many times Bitcoin have dropped and pushed back up to enable you see a buying opportunity in the dump.
