Honestly, no. I don't. I believe there will be developments to the technology that are adopted more quickly and it will evolve.

If I had enough crypto, I would.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Bitcoin SCAM
« on: June 20, 2018, 03:56:33 PM »
We hear news about bitcoin being a scam because all major media is controlled indirectly through banks. Media companies cannot make money the way they used to with subscriptions and rely on investors to fund their companies. The companies that fund news corporations are related to both big banking companies and politicians. They still haven't realized that all media is good media and the more they talk about the negatives, the more interest they generate. All in all, it doesn't really matter what they say, the proof is in the pudding.

I think that not only should we teach more courses in the development of blockchain and crypto across many countries, but we should also include more courses on finances and stocks/trading in highschool, at least an introductory course.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Will altcoins survive a long time like bitcoin?

I think that with the developments in technology from bitcoin, altcoins will last a while. However, only as long as bitcoin.

Step 1: Increase security on exchanges. In fact, make it the top priority. The historically large drops in price have been due to exchange hacks and released hacked funds. If we want the price to steadily increase, we need to stop throwing wrenches in the gears.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: When BTC was 19K.
« on: June 19, 2018, 06:37:36 PM »
Most people who bought at $19k were new to the crypto world and it immediately turned them off of it because they lost so much money. It's a shame that so many people are now against it because they bought so high. My cousin bought at 10k in January and still hasn't broke even.

If they're interested in learning, I'd teach them about the technology itself and explain the way blockchain works. The only reason people say it's a scam is because they don't understand how it works.

I don't think it's the same, but maybe at some point they'll implement a more difficult ranking method, but until then, they're similar but I like it here a bit more. It's easier to find information I need without the influx of spammy botters.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Will the price keep rising?
« on: June 19, 2018, 06:29:20 PM »
It seems as though the main issue with massive drops in price all stem from exchange issues. The January bubble was popped when Mt. Gox funds were released, the previous bubble before that was because of the Mt. Gox hacking issue and most recently, the price seemed to decline drastically due to Coinrail hacks. If we could ensure security better on these exchanges, the price would steadily rise.

As long as he has a place to live an is okay with potentially losing the entire value of his home, go for it.

When I think of bitcoin as being number 1, I just think of it being the first of it's kind and the gateway token to crypto. Since altcoins rely on bitcoin price, they're secondary.
