Coinbase has finally listed the Flare (FLR) token, and it's caused quite a stir among XRP supporters. They're calling for Coinbase to relist XRP, given the close relationship between Flare and XRP, but Coinbase hasn't made any firm commitments just yet.
According to a tweet from Coinbase, users can only make deposits through the Flare Network, and the exchange has already started distributing the FLR airdrop to XRP holders. To clarify, the airdrop will be distributed to wallets that held XRP tokens during the snapshot on December 12, 2020.
However, withdrawals are currently suspended during the distribution period. Once the exchange confirms sufficient liquidity, trading for FLR will begin, and Coinbase will announce the FLR/USD trading launch.
Many are excited about the listing of FLR, given its origins on the XRP Ledger, and the hopes are high that Coinbase will consider relisting XRP in the near future.
