This is a question that is complicated as the way it's asked seems like you are looking for directions... the only person that can give you the best directions... is yourself... only you will know the circunstances of your investment.
Also, the best thing to do is to search ... look at the core techs, teams, github activity, exchange listings, telegram, etc... even with all the care in the world, there will be some projects that will fail or turn out to be scammy...
You can ask about each person favourite projects of the moment... I can tell you that I'm following Veil - a bullet proof new generation privacy coin and Veles - decentralized VPN... both seem to be very promising...
