I have a friend who is so skeptical when it comes to Bitcoin. He thinks its a scam irrespective of whatever you will say about Bitcoin to him. Is it because he is the type of person who believes in things he can only perceive with his five senses? Or what do you think?

Because they didn't know yet about bitcoin what willl the benefits on it thats why they too judgemental but let them be they will repent someday.

People don't understand blockchain yet, nobody can really agree with something they don't understand. Most people don't understand it.

Experts say that bitcoin wasn't backed by anything unlike fiat currency which is backed by gold, so the price of bitcoin is purely speculative and the price depends on its supply and demand and that is why they consider bitcoin as scam but they don't really understand cryptocurrency and blockchain.

Until cryptocurrency is mainstream, most people won't understand it or believe in it. Thankfully we are early adopters and will profit handsomely by being in early :)

It's because Bitcoin needs more advertisement, it still lack of understanding to other people so they think it's a scam, but the truth is they don't understand what it is. Just like the saying, "To see is to believe" right? And we are the one who sees it first, that's why we're here, taking advantage so that we will earn good money. Maybe it'll take years before they'll understand the true meaning of block chains and why it is important.

Most people who do not believe in investments like cryptocurrencies are usually not educated enough or are stuck with their self-limiting beliefs. Some are just waiting for people in crypto to have good results before they start believing.

Because they don't know what is bitcoin, and how do it work. There are so many scammers, and fake news about botcoin in the internet. So the people are afraid to it. Unless they try it by there own before believing in fake news and accusations.

Maybe it's happening for fake news. News are effect so much general people. Some country government are have bad feedback. Although they have not clear knowledge about it.

There are some people who dont believe about bitcoin because they think its illegal and it might lead you to imprisonment.Mostly in the news we read about online business causes negative and off course in the telivision also it might add negative effect to people instead of believing .

That's the question of other members and I think other people in different countries do not believe in bitcoin because of the scam of other people they think the bitcoin site is not a legit and they do not want that they can scam it.

Same situation sir my friend did not believe about of bitcoin because he told me that bitcoin is a scam so i guest that the reason why others people did not believe and maybe other reason that most of people did not know about crypto coin.

There are some people who dont believe in bitcoin, they lack of knowlegde about this and some beacause of those fake news regarding on bitcoin which is bad thats why they believe it is scam.But if you explain it to his/her properly maybe they incourage them.

Sometimes you don't need to force them to believe about bitcoin, let them notice it by your success, we should respect others decision, because it really hard to explain it if they are not interested, just don't waste your precious time to those negative people.

That kind of personality is hard to change it is called " all by myself " self is the most important to him. Whatever you said never mind at the end. I recommend let your friend live that way if he think he will improve his ways of living. Don't bothered yourself if he did not hear you as his friend.

For me it is simple because human can't remain silence. Man change. Trust is important once it was broken hard to build it again. Therefore trust matters.

wow, i have been in such a position before. I never believed in Bitcoin or any other digital currency until i started receiving monies from Codfred E-currency sites confirming transactions that i have been making. The reason why i think some people don't believe in Bitcoin or any other digital currencies is the very fact that most people are adamant to change. When people get used to doing things in a particular way they choose to stay with but as to whether they will change and blend in the new technology will depend on certain things. For instance how similar is the new style different from the current one.
Also issues with monies are very confidential and most people don't want to fall in the hands of scammers and cyber fraudsters because of the frequent news about internet thefts.The whole concept of bitcoin is for somebody who is technology inclined and not for computer illiterates. I believe in bitcoin that is why i am here.

Being skeptical is the way of life of some people, they never believe in anything. However, most people attribute their lost of trust for Bitcoin to anonymity with Blockchain technology. I believe they'll learn to accept it soon. Also some only adhere to the misconceptions about Bitcoin

Maybe your friend is insane. Sorry for the words. Feelings is very dangerous to base what we should do next. It can destroy our life without any worth just for feelings. One day if your friend change he/She probably lough about the past feelings. Give your friend a time to realize.

There was a saying " you do not believe because you do not see."
This saying is true. There are more people around the world that didn't believed bitcoin because they did not see it.
As a matter of fact almost website have bitcoin advertisements and news about bitcoin spread through out the world. The problem is not bitcoin but the people who doubt bitcoin existence.

A lot of people dont like the fact that they did not buy bitcoin at an early stage and IMHO its why they rather invest in an ICO but since all coins are traded aginst bitcoin and etherum (some at the begining are not traded vs eth) so only logic presumption is that BTC will only grow ... Well until somebody will invent something better but till the moment our world will have competition for acquiring value through one life bitcoin will Reign

some people did not know what bitcoin is, what cryto is, what blockchain is, specially people know nothing in social media or have no intellect in gadget/computer. others need a solid proof if btc is not illegal or scam and ect. so many reason why people don't believe in bitcoin.

People who do not believe in crypto are often people who do not know the subject and prefer listen medias.

I think they are influence by some media sources that releasing reports the negativity of bitcoin.

It's OK my friend that's normal. The improved you did not treat bitcoin as what your friend treat. Count for 5 years from now you will see the big differences between you and your friend. Without believing bitcoin versus believe in bitcoin and change more better.

Yes, I agree about that. Knowledge is what the matter not the senses. Senses is not reliable to base our decision in life we must have knowledge before judging and do decision making.

I think most people have the same perspective as your friend. It is different if you can see, feel it, just the fiat. Bitcoin on the other hand only exist in the realms of the computer. They don't understand something they can not see but has a huge value. Sounds strange to them.

Bitcoin because they think its illegal and it might lead you to imprisonment. So the people are afraid to it. Initially i like that, but I think bitcoin is a future investment or a modern investment, and can be an example for them.

Some of them have logical reasons, some of them just talk bullshit but whatever it is bitcoin will not face a downfall such easily, it took many challenges for it and a long time for this revolution and it needs a long time as well for a downfall.

Perhaps the person needs evidence that bitcoin can have a positive impact on the life of any person in the future by investing so they have a great desire to learn bitcoin when given clarification beforehand.

Actually i dont know what is the main reason but i think they do not believe in bitcoin because they thought it was a scam and there's a lot of news / negative issues about bitcoin.

I think they don't believe bitcoin because they don't know the real background of it so they can't easily trust it. But we can blame them because every people has different mindset and also because of the speculation againts on it and they thought that it is only a scam so they don't invest for it.

For me, many people have thier negative thinker in bitcoin they always think that bitcoin is scam and they don't believe in opportunities given by bitcoin. This people are lack of knowledge they don't know how bitcoin works. They cannot see the positive side of bitcoin, and hopefully one day, they accept bitcoin in there life and start to invest.

I see people constantly bitching that their alt coins are getting rekt by bitcoin volatility.. thats usually the biggest complaint I hear.. but they never give bitcoin credit for like in December, when all the bitcoin money splashed into alts and gave everything a 5-10X

I think it's because of some of the program investment that keeps telling them that they can make a big profit from the programs and they don't have to do anything except receiving the payment in every day, every week, or every month. And many of them finally get scam by the programs so they can say that they don't believe in bitcoin anymore. But I am sure that in the future, there will many people will believe in bitcoin and they don't listen for any negative news that might cause bitcoin to get down.

Not only You have this situation, I have half of the friends is the same cryptocurrency, and they are no substantiate their disbelief, and simply do not trust digital currency!

I think your friend doesn't understand bitcoin so he is more likely to always think negatively with bitcoin. I think it's natural because of lack of knowledge, but if he understands then he will receive bitcoin.

I know this, why not a few people who do not believe with bitcoin. bitcoin be virtual, the face is always changing, and decentralization. This will make most people think, and revisit to join it, it will happen to them that indeed only as know, without understanding the truth.

Not everyone has to believe in Bitcoin. But most of those that don't believe have no proper argument agains it because they are not aware of the technology and the benefits that BTC offers.

I think Maybe Your dont have knowledge about bitcoin. Bitcoin is the future technoloy. It is good for investment and payment system. It will be needed at the future.
