Is BTC the new gold ?

Bitcoin is not a new gold as it will never become a gold standard. Maybe they may be compared somehow like they are both hard to earn, but still..

in my opinion bitcoin is digital gold and bitcoin is a good asset for long-term investment besides that bitcoin is more profitable than gold and is very valuable so I prefer bitcoin than gold because bitcoin is the future currency.

As we discuss here in the forum everyday, the main reason for BTC not to be taken seriously as digital money like it was invented are:

- its fee cost for lower transaction
- delay and time of the transaction to be approved
- its price that change constantly up
- it's not designed to accept so many transactions

What do you think ?

No I think Bitcoin is more than gold. Bitcoin is digital currency and more potential than gold.

i don't think bitcoin is gold or more than gold my reason is if you have money you can buy gold,but if you have gold you can't buy money. i agree the statement posted by Jasmine rose gold is gold  and gold really a material product but bitcoin only digital product.gold is treasure/assets  but bitcoin is investment

I also agree that they can be compared to each other, and both have their own strengths.  Gold has its strength because it is desired in jewelry, and bitcoin for its self banking and transactions.  Encrypted information fascinated many since its use in wartime, it's very interesting to use it as a currency.

I think  Bitcoin is currency and investment, So Bitcoin is more profitable than gold.

Let me start my comment by describing gold and bitcoin.
Gold - is a precious metal backed up with real value in the marketplace.
Bitcoin - is a cryptocurrency, a form of money represented by numbers in our computers and it's back up with IMAGINARY VALUE through money put by investors.
This two words is not comparable to each other from the uses until its disposal is quite different. If I chose between the two I go for gold.
