Stop treating Doge as a meme coin and thinking that it's all about Musk

I've seen that there is a trend around the forum labeling Dogecoin as a meme coin, something that has not other meaning that being an object of Musk's tweeting material, that is has no "good project" whatever that means, so, it's time for a reality check:

1) Dogecoin is one of the most used coins out there, in number of transactions per day it goes most of the times beyond what Bitcoin and Ethereum combined have



2) Despite the volume it's one of the cheapest and fastest coin to transfers value with looking at the last 24 hours average fees:

Doge is a good coin without any doubt, it has been around for many years and it will continue to be on the top list of coins that we have.

I'm very sure that this bull run Doge can have another price upward rally which will be very intense. This bull run altcoins can go with highest intensity.

This is not what most people in crypto does not understand or denied to understand at all, for how many years now that I am using dogecoin specially when in terms of gambling because this is my favorite gambling currency.

Yeah though we cannot deny the fact that those people are no plans of using crypto instead they are here for what they hear or read that this is a money making market and just buying and selling.

yeah they designed doge to be a godlike pow coin by merge mining it with scrypt. then they launched like a meme to trick people into not mining it in the beginning.

I only wish I was born in 1997 not 1957 as I would stack and hodl doge for the next 20 years and make a fortune on it.

I don't think in the beginning anyone was serious about it, not even the developer himself.
Probably it was timing, chance, the right news, and the perfect spread of word that made it famous and then the realization that a simplistic design totally works, doge nailed the userbase before coming up with anything shiny, once you have a ton dedicated users and fans 99% of the job is done.That's why some other coins that rely just on whitepapers and roadmaps will never get above the 1%.

Unfortunately, there are just a pow coins few left so apart from Bitcoin there is little competition, in terms of daily reward it's just bch,ltc and etc that still matter, even Monero is a shade of itself, not really a hard task for doge to be on the top spot.

You are not wrong because the ranking at CMC is also quite good and Doge is the best meme coin to date and no one will be able to compete. But it will indeed be difficult to increase the price if the doge supply is too much and that is a natural thing, and will not cause the, doge to be neglected even if the price is difficult to increase sharply.

Well it is a POW hybrid with LTC it is godlike in long term mining ability.

And it started as a meme.

Most people are clueless as to POS = piece of shit

while POW = proof of work.

They have no understanding of the value of mining they just want a 1/10 of a penny coin to become 1 dollar so they get 1000x their money.

But for me. Doge is still doge as meme coin, precisely because Doge is a meme coin, that's what makes Doge special. Because it was the pioneer of meme coin and until now it has become the main meme coin. You can't separate Doge and meme coin, you can't replace it with words related to Musk. In fact, it is much broader than the Musk project. Because basically, Dogecoin has its own characteristics to be used as a transaction tool, one of them. and also as a meme coin which is the most important and trendsetter.
