there are so many alts under ethereum blockchain that surpass price of ETH you could see it at coinmarketcap. But if we are to talk in popularity among alternatives coins. Bitcoin is a threat to government because of lacking of authority they cannot control it. The other negative side of bitcoin are can be used in laundering, purchasing in illegal market and etc. I think bitcoin is a threat to the government.

I'm not seeing BTC would be a treat to the government. instead it could aid the government in term of financial aspect. there are countries however ban BTC but not because its a treat but because  of many of their citizen get involve in a scam project and the government is predicting more damage to the their people's money. further, the government is not convince that BTC is a good form of investment because if the highly volatility of this coin.

it seems like the market for cryptocurrency is unstoppable for this year as we see many prediction leading BTC to $20 within this year. I think it will happen and a lot of alts will follow BTC to this price hype. there are lots of tokens in the ethereum blockchain that's why it's hard to chose which are the promising token and where is likely to failed. if only we assure that a token is solid and with good foundation I would love to invest into it rather than investing in ethereum because erc - 20 especially new token has a big increase than ethereum.

there might be posibility! even though it's just slim but I think a government intervention would make this scenario happen plus the acceptance of Bitcoin worldwide as a mode of payment. there would be many things would happen in the future so let just wait until it's started.

I think partly Bitcoin controls the market but mean it controls all! the influence of Bitcoin on the marketplace is very big that some altscoin move towards BTC movement. I know some traders observe that if BTC goes upward some alts would also go upward but if it goes down mostly all alts decreases it's value in the marketpalce
