Nem is one of the very few coins I know nothing about in the top 100..

For someone who doesn't know anything about NEM (other than earlier this year some of the coins were hacked from a Japan exchange...) , shill me on why you like NEM and why I should care about it.  I'm always open to new projects and I love hearing from actual investors why they are excited to own something.

The hack only involved NEM, because the security breach was caused by the lack of strong security measures of Coincheck with regards to their implementation of NEM, lacking the use of mutlisignature support or a cold wallet[citation needed]. The NEM #DevelopmentTeam  refused to conduct a hard fork. Instead NEM is created an automated tagging system. This automated system followed the money and tagged any account that received tainted money. The result of these actions was that NEM stopped tracking the stolen coins approximately mid-March 2018, after concluding that enough data was provided to the law enforcement authorities.

The NEM developers are pseudonymous. NEM was started by a Bitcoin Talk forum user called UtopianFuture who was inspired by Nxt. The initial plan for NEM was to create a fork of NXT, but this was eventually dismissed in favor of a completely new codebase. Starting on January 19, 2014, an open call for participation began on the Bitcointalk forum. The goal of the call was to create a community-oriented cryptocurrency from the ground up.

In April 2016, Tech Bureau, the operator one of Japan’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, Zaif, formed a partnership with NEM for a new blockchain engine.

YEs such things happen (hacking of an exchange) and trully initiatives like my shield and other cyber security initiatives through these (events) will gain traction and i am nem beliber as well

I am also not familiar with NEM coin.Think this coin has not been in the top 20 coin in crypto world but i believe this coin will also have a brighter future to gain more popularity in the near future.

indeed it is true that nem coins are still rarely known by investors, but I still strongly believe that investors really like nem because of the potential that nem coins have that will be good going forward, and I strongly believe that nem coins will be a very good coin ahead later with prices rising further.
