Bitcoin Forum / Bitcoin ETF and USA lawmakers
« on: October 06, 2018, 10:58:46 AM »
Members of the USA government different in response to the crypto world, some members choose to make strict rules and some choose to support crypto, the SEC rejects the Bitcoin ETF but does not give a response to US lawmakers who have Bitcoin.

I think it's not objective, if the SEC wants to ban bitcoin ETF, I think the SEC must ban and confiscate bitcoin from every USA resident, including USA lawmakers.

Because many from the USA lawmakers that have lots of Bitcoin.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Relationship between Altcoins and Bitcoin
« on: October 06, 2018, 10:41:45 AM »
A question arises when we think of the possibilities that the leading cryptocurrency bitcoin is related to other altcoins such as ETH, doge, litecoins and etc. Bitcoin price directly influence the other altcoins. but their relationship is not that predictable. One interesting thing to find out is whether ALTCOINS with the same state has a value relationship. It is when we analyze if there is a direct and indirect proportion between two altcoins that we compare especially, their market value. ICO's goal is to create a new Altcoin. This concept might affect the relationship of their value since, investors are fixed with their desired ICO, there would be a low investment to the coin offering because of the increasing number of ICO and altcoin. Investors are divided meaning to say that not all of the ICO would have the opportunity to succeed.

What might be the factor that affects the value of an altcoin?
What makes an altcoin value increase? as well as decreases?
How could we determine the relationship between altcoins? as well as their relationship to bitcoin?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Does crypto bring more risk than benefit?
« on: October 05, 2018, 10:59:41 PM »
Central bank Governor of Spain has told the cryptos bring more risk than the benefits to get. but I believe on more risk more gain theory. If you can not trust crypto, you will not be able to see its value. Risk is associated with all kinda business. It just has to be calculated properly that which one would be profitable for you.

Please share your thoughts in favor of mine statement or against.

While this might seem like something very intuitive, it is in fact one of the most difficult things I have noticed in the crypto world. When should I sell and when should I buy for maximum profit and minimum loss? After a lot of mishaps in this space, I have come to understand that a system, strictly followed is the key.

My own system is very simple. It doesnt matter when I buy, I could buy at an ATH or midway between an ATH and an ATL; but for the sake of security I would always sell at an ATH. This system assumes there would always be a correction following an ATH, sometimes a very damaging correction that it becomes a perceived market crash. No matter when I buy, provided I don't run into some life threatening issue, I believe there would always be a new ATH, so I wait, and I sell immediately that ATH comes. The I sit back and watch the greed and FOMO take over, wait for the correction, then buy again. Rinse and repeat. The only constant that this formula relies on is that there would always be a new ATH. So far this fact is yet to be disputed.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Have you make money from ICO?
« on: October 05, 2018, 10:47:24 PM »
An initial coin offering is similar in concept to an initial public offering (IPO), both a process in which companies raise capital, while an ICO is an investment that gives the investor a cryptocoin, more commonly known as a coin or a token in return for investment, which is quite different to the issuance of securities as is the case in an IPO investment. Do you invest in ICO? and has you make money from it?

Just a good topic to consider. I know its been discussed before.

Since Bitcoin was created for to be used as a Peer to Peer currency system etc
seems more that cryptocurrency is used for more the investing aspect on value with FIAT

Really I ask, when did this concept start with using crypto to invest to get more FIAT

Why Did it happen this way?

What started having that value ? crypto into FIAT

I know in some small places or cases it is being used as a currency eg Venezuela etc.

anyways hope to hear some good responses.

« on: October 03, 2018, 07:44:05 AM »
Crptocurrency is becoming more and more popular and companies big and small are also slowly getting into crypto. However my question is what, if there is any, is something that cannot be bought by crypto right now and do you think it will ever change if crypto becomes an official global currency?

Cryptocurrency Trading / Psychological fear dominates the market
« on: September 29, 2018, 02:07:38 PM »
The continuous decline in Bitcoin prices may make investors very nervous and many people have lost confidence in Bitcoin as well as crypto.
This is a very normal psychology and nothing strange in life, in any field, there are two emotional state is governed by FEAR and GREED.
Especially in the financial market, not just the crypto market, when prices are rising, people often feel GREED, focusing only on positive trends and never thinking about trends. Negative, when the price goes down, then the person feels FEAR, then focus only on the negative trend and never thought that everything would be positive again.
Talk about this for people to imagine that believing in a current trend is only relative and timed, so look at the market trend with an objective eye (out-of-game) so that If not, then it will not be absorbed in the psychological game of the market. Finance is a game of psychology!
What do you think about this?

Guys we are very much aware how the crypto community through this great forum has helped most of us in terms of our finances but is so heartbreaking that the most of the public views only describes how insecure and unsafe the crypto community is. I do understand that cryptocurrencies are volatile and the issue of anonymity sometimes scares people away but y'all bear with me that if  crypto is explained to you and you really understand it properly you would not make wrong mistakes and get swayed away by panic sales or submit your private key as ethereum wallet address. Is it a public campaign or some other form of tutorial that we should organize to help explain crypto to the world because believe it or not the blockchain technology of cryptocurrencies is being admired by most organizations and some of them have decided to run their operations with the use of blockchain technology. What can we do as a community to help change the public view of Crypto?

USDT Forum / How safe is Tether.to/USDT?
« on: September 28, 2018, 11:58:43 PM »
Hi everyone,

I'm just wondering about people's opinions on how safe is Tether.to/USDT? In terms of putting largish amount of money in there ($10k+), what is the risk of the service going out of business, or not honoring withdrawals? I.e. what is the risk of another Mt Gox, Mintpal or Cryptsy incident on here?

I can see that it still says "Beta" on the main page, and that it's a Hong Kong outfit. Not sure what kind of financial regulation/overwatch they have over there when it comes to these things.

I guess other little warning bells are that they don't have an easily accessible support link on their user interface (you can however email [email protected]), or at least I couldn't easily find it.

Is there a safer way (which is still easy and cheap) to park some USD while BTC is going through it's fluctuations?

Thanks
