Title: What would be the prediction trend if Bitcoin breaks the ATH before halving?
Post by: hugeblack on February 28, 2024, 10:08:53 AM
Those who follow previous Bitcoin cycles will know that Bitcoin was not able to break the ATH until several months after halving, and this pattern was repeated frequently in all previous cycles. What will happen if it is broken this time, and how will it affect after halving prediction trends?

Obviously no one has any idea what might happen if that pattern breaks and the price breaks the ath, say in March. For me the price would continue to rise quite rapidly to around $100,000, which without previous references would be the next resistance, not only because of the round number but also because of the symbolic nature of the figure. Once we get above that, people can think about $200,000, $300,000, etc. But the next ultimate target will be the long-awaited million dollars, which we won't see until the next decade.

Today, bitcoin will almost break through $64K. Of course, it is extraordinary that in just one day bitcoin has made a sharp increase, even though currently the price is at $61K, and there has been an increase of 7.2% per day.
I think it is not impossible that the last ATH will be passed before the halving occurs, because up to now the halving time is still 52 days away. There is always a possibility that this will happen.

Incredibly, in the last 24 hours there has been an increase of 7.17% and in 7 days of 23.13%, so that currently the price reached by Bitcoin has reached $67K.
At the end of the new month, it will touch $64K, and it doesn't reach that and move around $61K-$63K.

Will Bitcoin pass ATH in 2021 before the halving ? Yes, that could happen if you look at the current trend. Until maybe the end of March it could reach $100K, even though it hasn't reached the halving period yet. What about after the halving period ends? Will the trend continue to increase or will there be a correction?

Yes, you are right, there is a very clear potential for Bitcoin price movements which will soon touch a new ATH at $100k and I really hope you have prepared the Bitcoin you have to open a sell order at $100k so you don't miss the opportunity to sell Bitcoin at $100k. high price. The halving is only a few days away so it is possible that the last few weeks of Bitcoin will make exchange conditions very busy and Bitcoin transactions will be even more crowded.

It seems that this happened yesterday, but it did not last long. The price was quickly corrected once it touched the $69,000 level. Let us see what will happen before the end of this week and whether we will see $70,000 or not.
We are at $70,000 levels before halving will be this year's event.

You are right yesterday bitcoin price passed the previous ATH and it was on 69,706, couldn't stay for a while before it corrected back to 63k the morning my country time, but currently it has moved back to 70k. This is is a good sign that this week or next we would see bitcoin price to be 70k or above, with the rapid movement that it did back to 67k,after it made a correction to 63k. Since it was able to go back it means that we will see a price higher than 69 in no time. After the halving, the price will skyrocket the more and there is possiblity that we can achieve a 100k price before the end of this year.

This is only my prediction. Don't take my opinion seriously. :D This is coming from an investor who invests 95% of my money into shitcoins. :P

Kidding aside, I believe that if the price of Bitcoin surpasses its past ATH, more and more people will be interested to enter and buy hence, the price of Bitcoin will increase even more. TBH, it's my first time to see Bitcoin's price trying to surpass it's previous ATH even before the halving event because as you said, in the last 2 cycles, we saw Bitcoin surpassing it's previous ATH a few months after the Bitcoin halving happened. It's the first time we see this, and I believe that if it does happen, people will get FOMO'ed, and they will buy even more.

Based on its movement yesterday, it seems like there's a huge selling pressure on the $69,000 price because it was near to its previous ATH, but I will not be surprised if Bitcoin somehow surpasses and reaches the $70,000 price even before a halving event happens. This just shows how unpredictable Bitcoin is. :D

It has already broken over it, and I honestly do not have any that I can think of. I mean as in prediction, I just think that the price will continue to go up and that's about it, I really do not have anything more than that to say. I get that its an open ending, because I am not giving any date or any price, I am just saying it will go up so that's not really fair. However, that's all I have right now, I think it will continue to go up and that's about it, we are not really going to see anything more. Hopefully we can do a lot better in the future and people could see the price breaking over 100k even 200k, but I can't give an exact price of the peak.

Already  happened mate and yes what we are seeing now is the trend to be ,

https://coinmarketcap.com/

the market is still in the uptrend though there are some correction happened after that Breaking of ATH and sadly? bitcoin tasted the new ATH for just a minute and falls down again.

now what we are waiting is if bitcoin will cross again this new ATH and from that we will be in 70k for sure.

$70k seems to be the psychological limit and everyone seems to expect a serious jump after that.

Regarding your initial question on this topic, I think that this time we cannot expect a repetition of any cycle, because many more parameters are included this time. Certainly, there has never been this much demand for Bitcoin and many more non-crypto investors with money are involved.

I am excited with one month left before halving bitcoin got strong trend to break out new higher price, easily to raise more than $75k before halving because get more enough time recovery and bitcoin movement trend drastically without needed more longer time.
I think this halving moment have good viewed for bitcoin break out most higher price and wish there are not drastically correction such as last several days bitcoin dropping almost 15%.

There was a rejection once it did able to touch up its ATH on which it dropped on $62k but we've seen that it do fastly recovers on which we can definitely say that we are on a bullish sentiment
and we are already that still that few weeks away on halving on which we dont know if it would be able to successfuly be able to have some breakout or would really be still be able to see
some another rejection and the breakout could happen only post halving period. No one really knows actually and this is why we do keep up those speculations as always.
The thing here is that it is good to see that we are already touching up these levels even we are still on 2024. How much more on bull run period?

The target that must be achieved for Bitcoin is $100k and many of those who already have Bitcoin are waiting until that price is reached. The demand for Bitcoin should increase because of the ETF which makes it easy for many people to buy Bitcoin.

After bitcoin ETFs, we see huge volumes of bitcoin purchases. $100K is an easy price for bitcoin to reach, this may happen during the halving. as many speculate bitcoin will touch more than $200K.

Yes, of course you can assume that because fantasizing about Bitcoin price movements is something that is normal and can be used as a hope someday. Bitcoin will reach the target price as you mentioned when Bitcoin miners have difficulty getting Bitcoin. When the price of Bitcoin has reached $200k, then what is the estimated transaction fee that must be paid? more expensive or cheaper? needs to be considered carefully.

I think for the renewable ATH there will be a surprise that will be created by bitcoin, because currently the trend that is happening is outside what has been done so far, or is this actually faster? Of course, we will wait until the halving period has passed to see if the trend is still improving. If it continues to improve, I think the prediction of reaching ATH $200K is not impossible to achieve and, of course, everyone wants it.
When it comes to transaction costs, there will be a renewable problem, because we can be sure there will be an increase according to the price at the time of the transaction, but will there be innovation? So that transaction costs can be reduced!!!

Looking at things now, April seems to be the moment, so we have one month left. I think 80k could be highest we can reach, and I am not really expecting anything higher. I get that 80k may not happen too, who knows maybe tomorrow we will start to see a drop, that is possible, but I am pretty sure that we will not see 85k or more, so something more than 80k but under 85k could be the maximum we can reach. There is absolutely no data to back this up by the way, I am just making a prediction and I could be right as well as wrong. On the low end, going under 70k is also possible, but I do not think under 65k will be possible.

This was a good call. So here we are 71k-73k do we continue upwards to 80k by April 15th I think so. I feel we could move past $111,111.11 by the ½ ing.

I believe that 2021 bull was fucked with a lot to lower the peaks.  I think this bull will be fucked with the raise the peaks.

So if we should have past 100K in 2021 and 200k in 2025

We will do over 300k for this bull.

You know, that's what I'm thinking lately that Bitcoin will only make a new ATH after the halving based on it's cycle. But what happened? The price really break it's ATH and its keep pumping. This only means that this halving cycle is different and possible that all we expected to happened will not happen this time. It feels like very exciting this time because what we witnessed is just a new thing about Bitcoin and it's a pleasure to be in this generation.

So far, I'm elated with how bullish this market has been but we need to tell our self the clear truth that this move has been thrilled by the Bitcoin ETFs, they are the ones fueling this pump and that's why it's even weird since Bitcoin pass $70k, this is the time the volume trading from exchanges need to be double or even triple but the volume is not there.

We know one thing in crypto space, when a group of people are behind a move of crypto, Bitcoin to be specific, people don't get involved with them because it usually don't end well. Look at how Tera Luna ended, it hurt everyone, FTX another disaster that affected everyone. Something is weird with this pump to be honest.

The closer to the halving the price will increase as you have said because in April this year and you have to remain alert because the price movement may rise quickly and it may also fall quickly because no one knows for sure how the Bitcoin price will move in that month.

We already hits a new ATH several times before halving happens. Few days ago, Bitcoin reached $70k and today it passed $73k. I think Bitcoin is trying to pass $75k in the near future. Although we already hit a new ATH, I think there is no change to happen because the price will continue to increase more. The affect on halving may be on the optimum price to reach. Since it is already above $73k, we can assume it may reach $80k in the halving.

I don't think there is anything that has happened since bitcoin break the ATH of bitcoin before halving. What the crypto market is experiencing since the time bitcoin gave a new ATH of $74k, it's an increase and decrease of price, that falls between $72k-$74 nothing more. However, many people are speculating that bitcoin will go much higher in price during halving and many people who hodl and accumulate more of bitcoin will be made millionaires after the halving season.

Bitcoin has indeed reached a new ATH price, but it feels very inadequate if Bitcoin's latest ATH is only a few thousand dollars different from the previous ATH. In contrast to the ATH 5 years ago, the price of Bitcoin soared high and made many people amazed to see it.

This is not the top ATH that bitcoin has reached in the cycle, because we are still waiting for another ATH next year which is likely to occur in Q1 or early 2025. This is only the ATH before the halving, after the halving we will see the price of bitcoin even higher and touch more than $100K.

Still not stable with bitcoin price and I doubt will raise more than $100k before halving, the count down live with halving without 39 days its not easy with bitcoin still get correction moment. I wish bitcoin can raise the most higher price before halving and give space for some my altcoin holding recovery back to the higher price.
Current bitcoin price still stuck on $69k after dropping last two days, need several days later for bitcoin back to higher price and halving more close and less chance to see with bitcoin hit above $100k

$100K will happen after the halfway point probably Q3 or Q4 this year. so we should keep holding our bitcoins. Don't rush to sell it. The journey to the bull season is still long. We hunt for altcoins to add to our collection.

Yeah your predictions maybe correct because, But usually Bitcoin price movements are very difficult to predict. It all depends on the cryptocurrency news circulating. If there is good news, then the price has the potential to rise, but if there is bad news circulating, then the exchange will definitely collapse. I think no one is in a rush to sell assets, but when you have made a profit, it is better to sell than to miss the moment of selling assets at high prices.

It could be that what you say is true, but not only that, the influence of news that is directly related or not can influence bitcoin movements. But these are some of the circumstances that might influence this movement and there are many elements that make Bitcoin volatile.
When it touched $62K, many people were nervous and afraid to continue going down and those who bought at high prices were definitely worried. Fortunately, now it can increase again, although not yet significantly, because in the past seven days it is still minus 7.06%, which is quite high, and if it doesn't erode it will probably stabilize at $70K until the halving.
I think if you are not greedy, then when you get a decent profit it is appropriate to let go, because if you wait, the moment could be lost.

Good question, unfortunately I didn't see the topic until today.

In any case, it actually happened that Bitcoin broke the ATH approximately a month before the halving, although in all previous cycles, as you mentioned, it was not able to break the ATH until several months after the halving.

We saw that the price surpassed the previous high well before the halving, so I expect that this will form a new path for Bitcoin in the upcoming highs.

A lot of big changes that entered the market led to this turning point and therefore we expect that the momentum will continue until Bitcoin achieves a new ATH between 100-125K$, most likely as many expected.

Uncertainty is not really that unwelcomed in the bitcoin market, or in the general crypto market. Of course, we could have basically no idea whats going on and be happy about it because we can't really consider that as a bad thing alone, we could just make sure that we are holding and just let the ride take us wherever it does. I get that sometimes we fear that we are not going to end up with anything bad, we should just let it be and sometimes it will end very well. I know that people fear that it may end bad, but if you hold it long enough then bitcoin always delivers profits, one way or another, just takes time.

Those who follow previous Bitcoin cycles will know that Bitcoin was not able to break the ATH until several months after halving, and this pattern was repeated frequently in all previous cycles. What will happen if it is broken this time, and how will it affect after halving prediction trends?
And this, really happens. BTC passes ATH, much more, before its halving.
And in fact, this really happened and broke the cycle, the normal cycle I meant.
The probability is there. This may affect how the Bitcoin price prediction, not only about the new ATH rate of Bitcoin but also the time it will happen. Anyway, the new ATH for BTC this time is $73,750.07 based on CMC data that happened in March 14, 2024.
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/

There was a rejection once it did able to touch up its ATH on which it dropped on $62k but we've seen that it do fastly recovers on which we can definitely say that we are on a bullish sentiment
This is actually normal, right? when there's market correction after the high increase of Bitcoin this time? I mean that BTC price could touch $73,750.07 as its ATH. But, after a few days, it experienced a price correction, which has continued to this day. Price movements are still quite controlled, the up and down is still quite significant. It's just that, it seems like the market correction this time will last longer. Does that mean BTC will only surpass its ATH again when it approaches the halving or after the halving?

Bitcoin will always provide profits for those who are able to hold it for a long time, Bitcoin has been around for a very long time and still has a high price this year, so it is certain that Bitcoin will continue to rise as long as you have very high patience to keep hold bitcoins.

Of course, it's true, Bitcoin is very good to be used as a long-term investment, at least after the halving period occurs, which will not take long for a renewable ATH to be created, so you could say in 4 years. The next ATH is expected to occur in 2025, so be prepared before it happens to continue buying and holding.
Investing in Bitcoin requires patience and not being too greedy if you feel you have made a profit, to immediately release it and buy it back when the price goes down and then save it again.

$100K will happen after the halfway point probably Q3 or Q4 this year. so we should keep holding our bitcoins. Don't rush to sell it. The journey to the bull season is still long. We hunt for altcoins to add to our collection.
By Q3 and Q4 of the year, Bitcoin must have experienced the halving, and months after it, bitcoin can reach a price of $100k or above.
Giving a price of $100k is quite possible to achieve and I support it since Q3 and Q4 are months after halving we believe that bitcoin will skyrocket in price than we have it now.

Nice call it happened and so far kind of went flat. If it were to go to 90k or more miners would get off the hook this  1/2 ing that has never happened. Miners have always faced a time when they were hurting and the difficulty dropped.  So fat it has not quite happened.  So April 20 or so 1/2ing hits and prices are 65k miners are badly hurt and must drop hashing.

or April 20 1/2 ing hits and price is 95k for the first time ever miners are laughing at the 1/2ing and not in trouble.

I am quite optimistic for Bitcoin to be bullrun after the halving because FOMO will happen again, many new investors are coming in.
Those who become millionaires and have a lot to gain from memecoin will get into Bitcoin.

Predicting is okay, and you have to remember that the halving period has not yet passed and there are many possibilities for things like this to happen, where the price is stagnant and Bitcoin is unable to move up again after passing its ATH. If it is going to increase, it will always happen after the halving period and the prediction you said at $100K may or may not come true.
But maybe at the end of this year there will be a movement from now towards 2025 where the second ATH is predicted to occur, but will it pass above $100K? It's hard to predict, it's time for us to wait after the halving period, when Bitcoin will move.

There's no way that we could really be able to predict on what would gonna happen into this space or market on which no one really had that anticipated that Bitcoin was able to reach up the
peak or ATH and even broke it, although it might not really be that too far off but still its really that good to see that it was able to reach out these points and now for sure the market did
make out that kind of shifting about when it comes to analysis since it had broke a new ATH and now we are still on halving period and we do still have several months that we could really be able to hold up and see up those higher prices on which we know that this is something that we could really be able to take action with.

Stay patient and hold on to your bitcoin, dude. because the halving is not finished yet, and usually the highest increase in bitcoin after the bitcoin halving, based on habit bitcoin will touch the top ATH a year after the halving, so if you have a sell target of $95K, it looks like it will happen at the end of this year

This is out of the ordinary and has often happened before, that ATH was formed before the halving and is certainly surprising, so it is natural that there is a lot of speculation about newly high prices.
I think it is an opportunity for Bitcoin to fulfill the wishes of many analysts that in 2021 it can reach $100K. It is not impossible that this will happen by the end of this year.
Don't rush to sell because there is still a chance to add more, where usually after the halving there will be a correction first. In 2025, it is likely that a renewable ATH will be formed, and we are waiting for that.

Now that we already have a new all time high right before the commencement of the halving, what should be our further anticipation in subsequent days before the halving in this month of April, some will say that we are going to see more new all time highs and i also see such to be a possible achievement before then, bitcoin has been showing the expected signals for a new all time high after the recent one we had with $73,800 and more are still likely to come before the halving begins, we are likely not going to experience bear market to that extent the may set us back on dip any further.

Considering the situation we are in right now, I have to say that its going to be pretty great because we will move upwards from all time high price already, and that's the best thing. Think about it, we would need to go up to all time high first normally, but since we are above that already that means we are not going to need anything like that at all. I believe that we should just focus on what we could do, and that would be the best thing to handle. I believe that we are going to need to reconfigure all the expectations. This should be the most important thing to do when we are talking about predictions.

With the halving only 2 days away, it is possible that there will be extraordinary surprises that are unlikely to happen, but we just have to wait after the halving, where at first there will be a correction which may be quite high and there is no need to panic, but that is an opportunity to continue adding to your savings at current prices down.
Bitcoin looks like it will create a 2x ATH, after the previous ATH that has been passed and will provide a perhaps even more fantastic surprise with its newest ATH in 2025.
So be always prepared for something that could happen, but don't always panic so that you make mistakes in anticipating.

Double ATH, this feels like high expectations but looking at bitcoin which has reached ATH $73K before the halving I think the next ATH could touch $150K, everyone hopes that the price of bitcoin will rise and then altcoins will follow suit and touch a new ATH too because I too still holding a lot of potential altcoins in my wallet

It's true that it looks like this will be an important historical moment for bitcoin which may see another price increase, the ATH at $73k will probably last until the middle of the year and at the end of this year the bitcoin price will start to rise again at the target you mentioned at $150k.

If we look at the ATH before the halving, it is certainly beyond predictions, so there could be a fantastic increase, but what is the ATH for both? It is possible that what you said could reach $150K is certainly something that is not impossible to happen. Everything will be determined at the end of this year. How much Bitcoin can reach. If it gets higher, then the chance will happen.
With the increase in bitcoin, it is certain that altcoins will also be affected and will experience the same thing. Hopefully, they can make ATH twice as well.

Everyone's hope is that Bitcoin can reach a very expensive price, but we have to know that all these plans must get support from many parties, for example whales, investors and traders must simultaneously buy very large amounts of Bitcoin and without anyone selling it until price $150k then it will be achieved easily.

But it's still too early because the halving of anything has just passed and anything could happen in the next few months of this year. It is clear that Bitcoin continues to trade well and everyone does so, not just certain groups, so it is likely that it will increase or be corrected depending on each transaction that occurs. So we remain patient waiting for the stages that Bitcoin will go through.

It is not easy to increase the price of bitcoin which is currently too expensive, whales need a lot of money which they have to burn to buy bitcoin, they are waiting for good news which whales can use to increase the price of bitcoin so that the price of bitcoin in the market will not increase. looks like price manipulation carried out by whales.

That's right, it won't be easy for whales to intervene if not simultaneously, because the current value is actually quite high and even if large institutions can do it, it most likely won't last long and trading will return to normal. Of course, very careful consideration is needed to intervene if only for a moment and then return to trading. Of course, the intervention carried out will be self-defeating. They know more about market conditions and will not be careless in carrying out any interventions.

Indeed not easily for whales make bitcoin dropping but sharing bad news will make people panic and easily sell their bitcoin on lower price, bitcoin current price have been expensive and whales don't have enough fund to make bitcoin price dropping. But with sharing bad news make many people will sell their bitcoin get panic moment and whales indirectly success make bitcoin get correction few percent.
I don't think difficult how to make manipulation with bitcoin after giving bad news about SEC Commission about approval or not make bitcoin get up and down most faster than usually.

I don't even think that whales are the ones who make it go down, they just have to nudge it a bit downwards and all the weak hands end up starting to sell it, which is quite bad when you think about it, but that's just the way it is right now. When people see it go down, they do not care about it and they do not really consider that as an option. I personally believe that we are not going to get anything good as long as people don't hold, there are a lot of people who sell way too quickly when it goes down. Some of it are stop loss's, and some of it are liquidity that turns into USDT from btc, all of which does drop it, but there are also many that just sell out of fear as well.
