Waves are good but its not my favorite. I prefer the smart contracts within Ethereum and UBIQ's platform.

I like Waves, even if is not my favorite token. You can earn Waves using faucets exactly like BTC or ETH: very very small amounts and I think it isn`t worth the effort. Or maybe someone here knows a faucet who pays really good.

I don't like waves outrightly, simply because of their transaction fees, I don't see myself doing more on that waves platform, unless their TX fees are reviewed. They should make it flexible. Also of late, their faucet is not working again. So many things is just wrong about that platforms, that needs to be reviewed and adjust. They are one way traffic that focuses on tx speed and abandon other things.

I dont know that I "like" Waves as investment but I think its one of the better excahnges currently on offer.. the interface is a bit weird at first but grew on me over time..Decentralized exchanges will become more popular by the month now with more and more threats of legislation.. true test really is liquidity on tokens not primarily exclusive to Waves... and thats the part I'm not sure about.

Drawbacks:
Like ETH - the easy token creation makes sham/scam creation easy target for people to get conned - so make sure you're only buying verified tokens or Bitcoin on it - as some people have been fooled thinking they were buying Ripple or BitcoinGold tokens or even USD.

yes, I used to be quite happy because there were many new projects based on Waves and quite fun too. but with its development I don't see any new projects based on Waves and even it was already registered in Waves at the start of the journey changing to erc-20 because many of them don't support the project with Waves token.
it would be very sad to have to change, because investors are not interested in waves. but does it really need more time for Waves to develop itself?

I think have my reservations when it comes to waves coin, for a long time this coin has been in existence and to my knowledge has really done a lot in terms of project development but for some reason waves have not been able to grow high in price like other projects which was launched within the same period, this is my frustration with this project, I think waves has stand the test of time and deserve more recognition from crypto community. I hope someday the real value of waves will be seen.

I have a lot of sympathy for WAVES, at least it's the first Russian blockchain I know, speed better than Ethereum and also more user-friendly. However, WAVES does not use smart contracts, so the feature is a bit limited compared to Ethereum, the WAVES community is also less so there are not many projects running on WAVES. For 6 months now I do not know more about any project running on WAVES anymore, the closest project I know is SmartEcoCity :)
