Economics , Sociology & Politics / Re: Why do we pay taxes?
« on: April 23, 2024, 05:20:20 PM »
I just wanted to say that all the government knows what they are doing. In reality, without taxes been paid, there wouldn't be developments and when people py taxes, they are mean to enjoy their taxes but because of corruptions and looting, they don't properly allocate these funds and even when they allocate this money, they embezle the money.

If one day the government decide to make it's fiat money run through a decentralized blockchain where the money inflow and outflow can be trace, trust me corruption will cease to exist, people will b scared to looth government taxes because clearly that's what they do.

At first taxation system was introduced with the purpose of doing good for the people who are poorer by collecting the money from the people who have money that can't be spent in their entire life time.

Now the ideology is reversed, rich pay fewer taxes than the poor and this is because the rich control the system so they made changes that will benefit them most, poor people in terms of finance and knowledge still believes that money collected in taxes is being used for the developments of their citizen while in reality it's utilized to make more earning opportunities for the top 1%...
Well yeah that is what President Bukele was saying it's an illusion thing. But for me tax is good if implemented fairly and is done in due process. Taxes has been here since the old days so there is no way we are going to evade on it unless you are Robert Kiyosaki. 😅✌️

No one blames them for being entrepreneurs and, of course, the time is very right to make a profit. But it should be done fairly and sensibly. What happens is that they do it inhumanely, when many people need it just to save their lives, but the price is very high and even very difficult to obtain and many hold onto their goods to look for an even higher price.
Indeed, the situation is difficult to control. The government alone cannot do anything about actions taken by entrepreneurs like this. So sad ...........
Yeah I can relate to this they use the pandemic to be opportunistic to other people you might not be killed by the virus but on the prices of products we all need. 😅 Sad reality to be honest but yeah we have no choice, we have to serve that as a lesson so right now I think we need to prepare for all the possible crisis that might come along our path.
there is nothing that forbids seeking profit when it is appropriate, but they can always be wise in the difficulties that are experienced equally where everyone is affected.
I agree, an incident like that will be a lesson for the future. If something similar happens, then it can be anticipated well. But it is very unfortunate that the role of the government, which has the highest authority, is to let this happen and not be able to act at all. unfortunately, the people are helpless in trouble.

Well yeah exactly. It is also hard to depend on the government aid because it needs a lot of things before you van avail or get all of it. We really have to stand on our own in that kind of situation. I personally experience that during pandemic and I know most of us do on how hard it is to find supllies whether food, medical, and of course funds as jobs are cut off. The rise of heart attack and stroke was up during that time as well because of the fact that most people don't have physical activities on them especially during lockdowns. Health is really at risk and depression is quite common that time and I don't know how we surivive that crisis as me and my family was caught offguard when that happened.

That's because of their greediness and I understand your point. There will always be room for greedy people to take advantage of the needs of everyone, especially during a time of need. Just like what happened during the pandemic, the price of all the goods has risen due to those greedy entrepreneurs who set their products at a high value, making it look like we are having a loss in supply to justify the increase in value.

In the end, it only causes a domino effect where all entrepreneurs end up increasing the value of the goods as they get the product with a high value to resell to the public.
Exactly. I think this really has happened that time as I checked something online before buying from our local vendors prices really is quite high and that might also be the reason wh we call those entrepreneurs opportunistic. Hahaha But yeah I prefer to buy that way rather than buying online as risks could be very high as we all know that the virus came from China and items sold online also was manufactured from there so yeah not gonna take that risk. Better to buy locally even if it was double the price.

Economics , Sociology & Politics / Re: Cost of living
« on: April 22, 2024, 05:43:32 PM »
Through the stock market, control many strategic businesses (state-owned enterprises in various countries)
A very big misconception. Tell me how the stock market controls and influences your company for example ?  I apologize, but this is an attempt to come up with a "convenient answer to inconvenient questions", such as "why my country has a low standard of living".  It is easier to find a "distant culprit", to understand the problems that have only local problems - non-payment of taxes, nepotism, corruption, unwillingness of the population to work,.... These are unpleasant moments of our life, but always remember one simple principle - if you have a disease, and you treat fictitious manifestations, but do not treat the disease itself - the disease will defeat you!

Do not deceive yourself and others, inventing "fairy tale culprits in our problems", reality is much closer to us than the world bankers, SWIFT, stock market.... And the most unpleasant thing is that we ourselves create all these problems, and then "bankers", "capitalists", and others take advantage of it.

I personally like the highlighted lines myself because it decribes the reality that is currently happening in the society of every country which is facing a lot of challenges like mine. For me that is very accurate when we are talking about true events especially in third world countries including mine. People always criticize what had happened to the economy and politics but what they don't know is that they actually play an important role in making reforms eliminating corrupt officials and having the discipline to help the economy get back up again.

Thank you !
I would also add - the problem with the modern world is that most people try to look for "convenient" explanations for what is happening, afraid to recognize reality, to admit their guilt, afraid to start doing what really needs to be done.

And so they "solve problems" that are not the real cause of what is happening..... I hope the world will change !
Exactly instead of criticizing I think it is better to help the government even in a simple but good deeds to atleast do our part as a citizen because I know it was just a small thing but it will contribute to the growth of our economy and may also improve our cost of living.

The problem with buying Bitcoin right now is it's high transaction fee so I don't think DCA on smaller amount works on this or do you guys have any idea to lessen the fee or we just wait for it to go down?

6
I am personally hodling Altcoins right now because there is a higher chance that Altcoin season will be coming in the few months now so if ever my speculation is right and made profit on my holdings then that should be converted to Bitcoin maybe half from all my profit because I am going to reinvest the other half if given a chance. Altcoins is better right now due to the fact that Bitcoins transaction fee is quite high.

Gambling discussion / Re: Would you sell your Winning Strategy!
« on: April 20, 2024, 04:08:13 PM »
~snip~
and to sum it all up your strategy makes you win 80% of your bets.  would you share the strategy to someone for a price or not?

I would not care to sell it as bookies might notice this and will might ban me and those who bought my strategy hehe. If the reason for selling is to earn money then earn money from betting and not selling the strategy.
Well yeah also one good or not even the vest choice so the system won't recognize suspicious activity on your account because if we share then it will become more obvious and some other gamblers will also abuse the trick so better to stay out of sight.

Gambling discussion / Re: Telegram Casinos
« on: April 20, 2024, 04:03:57 PM »
The truth is that I have never had experience with casinos that are through telegram, it is something strange because I have always been in contact on telegram but it is like something strange to play like that, the truth is that one day I tried to get into one but I did not feel confident, so it is preferable to be in casino euqe it is normal that they have their own App and that they can establish a higher degree of trust for anyone who wants to enter and make their own strategy normally, but based on the fact that it is a reliable, well-known casino, with a good reputation, it is difficult to really trust in casinos like this, because I always take into consideration that Ann has a thread on btt or even here on altcoinstalk, but otherwise I don't trust casinos that are of that style.

I am not also comfortable with telegram casino reason being that telegram platform so far has been a hub for scammers who can easily swindle people to take possession of their assets but I was looking at it this way if casinos should have that telegram aspect as an option for those who deem it fit for them to play there and also have an app for gamblers who would also find it conducive for themselves and for those who are okay playing on their website can do that as well. On my own, I think it would not be conducive for me until I do some findings in the telegram casino before I can be fully convinced because of the experience I have had in the past.

What happens is that things now with Telegram have been greatly affected by the issue of scammers, almost no one trusts Telegram Anymore because for them it is likely that they can be stolen and that is something that everyone is on the defensive About this  When I see that there are more messages from people who do not identify themselves or Something like that, it is a reason to be alarmed, and to be very careful, I don't know if these people suddenly launch an encrypted program just by saying hello and stealing data or something like that , now the thing It is very focused on this type of scam and although my phone does not handle wllets or anything related to money, I Still think that you have to be careful.

That's why everything about the casino on Telegram is something that doesn't suit me and I wouldn't know how to play because it would be somewhat uncomfortable.

No one really trust telegram anymore because of the activities of scammers out there who have infiltrated the platform with their nefarious act. Imagine you playing on telegram casino  and win and all of a sudden, you can not log into your account or you discovered that your account is logged in elsewhere where on another device  and your assets and funds are drained without your knowledge how would you feel. It would be very devastating and frustrating because you can not be able to do anything and maybe the casino have no guarantee of being able to restore your fund's and assets stolen.

I better save myself the stress of losing my funds and assets than to get into a mess and mistake I can hardly solve or think of banking on the casino to come to my rescue when they themselves can not guarantee as well.
I am also wondering if there are malicious bots that might steal our data and funds through allowing access from the Telegram app in some casino games. I am really not a fan of this but maybe I'll be trying this as soon as I have extra money as I can see most of us are all having doubts and hesitant on jumping in on Telegram Casino since experience will tell us the reality of it.

Well, I think what you have said like having diamond hand would be an option as there is a huge transaction fee hike and I don't think you'll like it if you are doing DCA every single week as fee is not worthy for a transaction as you are spending more on it so yeah wise choice if you will be holding your Bitcoin assets long term.

I have a position in China that is very opportunistic with the issue of bitcoin and crypto, for them the best is their own stablecoin, and there is no other, because for bitcoin they have done a very good job propagating it and then completely filling bitcoin with FUD Of course, I am a person who does not believe in any government, any politician, no matter how much he says and promises good things, because it is very similar to what Elon Musk did because he spoke badly about bitcoin, so these types of things for a country that tell them now that it is pro-bitcoin or pro-crypto, because there is a very large itnere's, of course it will give a bullish impulse, but it will also exert strong pressure on those Chinese citizens who have great control over them, it is beneficial so that they can raise the price of bitcoin, but I wouldn't trust much of what this country says because I know that later they will speak badly about bitcoin.
In fact, we know that China is one of the countries with the largest economy in the world, but until now China has not supported and allowed bitcoin and crypto there. Maybe if China legalizes bitcoin, the price of bitcoin will be higher than today because it has a large crypto community.

For now I think few cities only hosts cryptocurrency activities like Hongkong which is I think very open to crypto. I think they already approved Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF if I am not mistaken. But if China, Russia, North Korea and other communist countries I think it has huge impact in the cryptocurrency market but we all know it seems not possible right now. 😅

and "bad government" is a consequence of a global problem - a population that doesn't think, doesn't evaluate. takes their word for it and doesn't hold their constituents accountable.  Bottom line: not smart, no matter how offensive it sounds, the population is the root of the problems ! We ourselves give power to "bad rulers", allow them to break the law and evade responsibility. And corruption is one of the main tools for evading responsibility. So we have a vicious circle: we elect potential criminals, let them do it, do not draw conclusions, and at the next election we vote for populists and liars again. Is it a shame? Yes ! But until the majority of the population realizes it, the situation will not change
This. Sad reality when it comes to politics in every country except for those that are having a stronger economy and countries having great leaders that prioritize their own country's people, economy, interests and defense.

There is huge price gap between the 2012 and 2016's halving event. If I'm not wrong then that's around 54x increase within just 4 years.

The price gap between the 2016's and 2020's halving is reduced and that's a little bit more than 13x within 4 years.

Once again the price gap reduced between 2020's and 2024's halving to a little bit more than 7.4x.

Let's say that the price gap reduces once again during the halving event of 2024 and that of 2028 to something like 3x, then still we may have Bitcoin at $191,202.

Just hold guys, the profits would be great for holders.
I think investors were forced to hodl because of the higher fees right now. 😁 I think the 2020 halving was also affected by the pandemic that is why it's not that great as 2024 so yeah we'll observe this until 2028 because I know there are a lot of thing that will happen along the way of Bitcoins next halving and that will surely affect the price actionin 4 years cycle.
