Altcoins are sometimes very different from each others. Which one will be most suitable, it depends on you. You should do your research to find that one. It's hard to say which coin have the best perspective for investing because sometimes it's very subjective matter. For example, I'm believing in FuturoCoin because I trust that its aims to make crypto more popular around the world (by actions like partnership with Formule 1 racing: https://newsroom.futurocoin.com/lets-start-the-season/ ) will work, but someone could think that something different is more important

Situation on the market is getting better with every month - of course, we couldn't expect market to fully recover in short time, but it will happen eventually. But we can't give up, especially now, when many currencies are vastly developing and are really promising for the future: Stellar is becoming more competitive to Ether, which is in good position too. Bitcoin price is growing with every week. Wait for what? market is currently improving, if you want to invest (and, of course, you have some money to do so) now is the best time, because prices are still low. So it's good time to buy Bitcoin now. Or, of course, you can invest in altcoin, they should follow bitcoin in trend of growing. Crisis in Venezuela makes me think about the main idea of cryptocurrency (especially this article on spam blocked b). We all know how big failure Petro was, but in its very basic idea it wasn't so different from any other crypto. But the time when it was implemented was bad - people in Venezuela don't want another insecure experiment.
But what about the rest of the world? Is it good time for the implementation of crypto? Is it ever be?

There are many possible targets of investment in crypto. With this amount of money you can try to invest in crypto from top of the market, like Bitcoin, Ether or Litecoin -  it will be safe. But you can also check some younger coins, but you have to do your research to choose the most suitable one for you.
Personally, I'm currently investing in Ether (as my "safecoin") and FuturoCoin (because of the idea behind it)

Well, it depends on you. Every altcoin have different idea behind it, different solution and different goals. It's hard to choose only one.

It depends, market is constantly changing right now and we can't be sure which investment will bring a profit
Coins from top of the market are of course good option, Bitcoin and Ether have stable position last months. On the other hands, investing in newest altcoins is more risky but could also be more profitable (and interesting). Stellar is constantly trending, also FuturoCoin is becoming more and more popular (they've just reach 11th exchange, quite good like for 1-year old coin)

I don't think that one-time investment will be considerably profitable... But, if you want to try, I would recommend you to stick with top of the market (like Ether or Stellar) or check the newest alts which are now trending in crypto world (like FuturoCoin)
