Many beginners only know/heard of coinmarketcap as the only website for monitoring cryptocurrency prices and market capitalization. I gathered some (better) alternatives and I hope this list will help. Feel free to add more if I missed some.

This list is pretty decent and helpful, thanks but sometimes its easier for me to check out prices directly on the binance, or coindeal. Exchanges have different prices, and when the market situation is tight and it requires quick response i usually don't have time to check all of those websites

You don't have to check them all. The list is simply to give you an option. You can just pick one of your choice. Personally, I like Nomics.

It is one of the most helpful threads, especially for beginners. I guess each newbie can make a screenshot of this useful picture and save also this post. As for me, I trust always CMC.

It's up to you. Many serious traders no longer visits CMC as they got disappointed with some of its activities. Lately, there has been expose's about IDAX.pro scamming start up projects in their IEO and CMC decides to do nothing.
