I agree with the opinion that bitcointalk is more strict, and besides, there is a conversation about bitcoins.

Both are good forums, bitcointalk is tighter to increase its rank, makes it difficult for newbies to move up, and as I know bitcointalk is an official forum owned by bitcoin companies, there is one proof that Satoshi Nakamoto was active in the forum around 2009-2010

According to Alexa rank:
- Bitcointalk has - 12.5K
- Altcoinstalks has - 270K
(Google rank is - 1)
So basically Altcoinstalks  is pretty far from Bitcointalk  ;)
But I'm sure that when Altcoinstalks  will gain more popularity it will become same scam shill platform as Bitcointalk is. ;D

Ah well, no platform is perfect and this forum also has to earn from something. Everyone can have their own opionion about forum x or y but making accusation without any proof isn't good. Staying in a forum that you think will turn into something else boggles me.

There is no need to call Bitcointalk a forum X or Y. Because for any sapient humanoid, who tracks what happens there during last 2 years, it is obvious that 99% of announced projects are scams and most of discussions are related to scams.
Any crypto forum, which popularity is comparable to Bitcointalk, will attract herds of scammers, and if you have any doubts, it boggles me even more. ;)

Maybe difficult for newbies who are spammers/shitposters to rank up. There is also no bitcoin companies.

At the moment, yes.

You are talking as if altcoinstalks will become a platform that will scam people or did I misunderstood that?

99% is just your assumption correct? There are a lot of scams that were advertised for sure but I wouldn't put any percentage on how many were scams and how many were legit. Some people would equate failed projects to scam projects also to which I don't agree.

I think there are bitcoin companies that are implied, not explicitly.

You could be more specific with that and not simply say bitcoin companies. AFAIK there are no central company for bitcoin unlike other coins.

Well it's not suitable to be called a company, what do you think is better? bitcoin organization? a bitcoin developer? anonymous? or advice from you?

I think bitcointalk is more popular forum, however, they say now bitcointalk is more like a platform for ICO promotion and nobody really reads it anymore.

I was asking you a direct question.

Not sure is there sense to explain, but I will.

Crypto is the area that attracts exceptional amount of scammers. Hope there are no doubts at this point.
You should know that well moderated telegram channels, with tens of thousands participants, are not able to protect their members from constant stream of fraudulent private messages.

So what about such a huge communities as popular crypto forums, with hundreds of thousands and even millions of daily visitors?
I'm sure that it is almost impossible to track legitimacy of each topic and project there, which means that any famous crypto forum automatically becomes a scam shill platform.

Hope this answers your question.

Bitcointalk wil always be a prime resource for crypto discussion. But that's just my opinion.

Bitcointalk wil always be a prime resource for crypto discussion. But that's just my opinion.

As noticed above, Bitcointalk is becoming a simple tool for ICO promotion and almost nobody actually reads it anymore. Just endless projects and team members of those projects.
