I think it's better to wait until early next year and if prices continue to fall then wait longer and choose the right moment to buy altcoins. I try not to invest now, I just trade carefully with Stop Loss and follow the general mood in the cryptocurrency market

I am  also not sure about buying cryptocurrencies because some cryptocurrencies maket now temporary. Ethereum and bitcoin market temporary hyped and xrp Market already miserable condition. I never support xrp at all.

I think you should wait until the year . The price can be gained in 2021 but now it is very hard time to freeze till the price pump . The most important thing in cryptocurrency is timely buy and sell also hold . If taking in right decision in right time you earn lot of money but if not timing you loose your profit .

Crypto currency is volatile form it's arriving. At this time we know that bitcoin price is high at the same time ether is price comparatively not so high. I believe that it will increase very soon on the other hand the high price of ether is more then $1400. So this is buy time for ether.

LTC and ETH will start the altcoin rally once again. So I would pick them first. But I will not invest in other coins. XRP, TRX has no future and Dogecoin will not be so profitable though I love it. There are so many excellent projects. I would add to the list AVAX, Algo, Theta, Vechain, Zillica, etc. which are better than xrp and trx.
