Meme hype began with Elon promoting one of the first meme coin doges. Elon and his doge are the reason why other meme coins like Shiba inu got so much attention from the crypto community. After that, it just boomed and we saw so many copycat meme projects most of them have no use-case and future. Their only offer was high apy which didn't work out for long.
