I think the news at this point is just a rumor. Anyway and as I think I have already commented on occasion, it is possible to buy any model of Tesla and other car brands with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. In some countries and some platforms, Bitcoin is already used as a payment tool. So, surely you can buy some goods with Bitcoin. But it still has limitations, it is not applied to all countries or platforms. Some of them don't accept Bitcoin as a payment tool because of many reasons. It is normal since Bitcoin is still not a global payment tool yet. It shouldn't be the same with dollars which can be used globally.

Yes , I also read about it. Bitcoin has been allowed as payment method but still limited.
Maybe when bitcoin has been accepted at almost all countries, It will be more popular and can be used  to buy something.

In my country, Bitcoin cannot be used as a payment tool. We cannot buy any goods with Bitcoin. To buy goods, we need to convert Bitcoin to our national currency. This situation is caused by our laws only allowing to use of our national currency as a payment tool. I understand why people will keep talking about this but in all fairness, we do understand that not everyone alive now even with their technological understanding that believes in cryptocurrencies, and this might likely be the scenario even in the future. I want to believe that even as we already have people and organizations accepting bitcoin as you said, both Bitcoin and Fiat will continue in that fashion to do what they do and I don't think bitcoin will replace fiat as I believe there will still be those that will prefer their fiat money.

It is a better method. But now bitcoin transcation fees too high. That's why if we buy any product at price less then 30$ with bitcoin then my transcation fees will cut more then product price. The withdrawal  fees of bitcoin on Centralized exchange is 0.0005 BTC worth of $35

if you can buy things with bitcoin is something very good for the development of bitcoin and crypto.  Only certain stores accept bitcoin as payment. As you said overstock.com.
But at several countries still blocked bitcoin and altcoin.
Hopefully at the next year we will see bitcoin has been accepted for payment method.
