They're doing it because it is trend now mate, but if NFT is not trending recently I am pretty sure they won't do the things just like what they are doing it now. But of course this is the cycle of this business industry for where the trend is we should go with the flow of course or else we will be left behind in the end.

Its amazing how exchanges are also going into NFTs, Bitay is also launching it's NFT and also going to launch thier Bitay coin and the exchange platform is already functional, they got the use cases functioning before launching the token. Mind you Bitay already has over 700k KYC users, which mean over 700k users already. Imagine each users holds and average of 100$ worth of the tokens, success of the project is already on the highway. I am also looking forward to it's game and bitay visa card also coming soon.
