This is a late reply but yes, i did this already the day i moved here, I'm confused first as to why i was redirected to the board instead of the thread after replying. Good thing I'm one of those who explore first in the settings before asking for help

I didn't know this setting existed. I recently discovered it and wondered why I kept leaving the discussion topic after posting. I guess I just didn't check this thread until now.

@admin Why not make this feature of returning to topic after posting default, instead of people having to go into options to actually enable it (and many like myself didn't even knew that it can be changed)?

I mean, I have an extensive experience on forums for decaded and I have never seen such feature as default and to be honest its quite annoying as from my experience people like to actually check their post after posting.

Just as I feel, it looks simple, but it is very influential to look back at the comments we make are correct or not.
To be the Default setting for everyone, although not set in the profile section, it can be a good option.

I was able to get to this thread because I was looking for a way about changing the Default setting for Rerunt to post.
Those of us who came here with Teleport are used to Bitcointalk forums, so it still needs a lot of adjustment, especially with the karma system.

Ohh! I wasn't aware that there was an option or a setting available to like this. I always used to wonder why I always getting out of the thread after posting. I assumed it was a standard setting that couldn't be customized. Thank you, admin, for providing us with an option and informing us.

I could be wrong, but maybe it's a forum feature that can't be changed by default. That is, it may be that the forum, or the template being used, does not allow that option. Anyway I'm not sure so it's better that we wait for the administrator to give us more information. Fortunately, it is something we only have to do once and it will only take a few seconds. It would also be nice to display this thread on the main forum page so new users can find it, at least until we know if the general settings can be changed.

This is quite helpful because when I was here a few days ago i was quite confused because i thought there was a mistake when i finished making a post and went straight back to the initial tab in the menu but i checked my post and it was already there
But it does work that way because there must be a setting to keep us in the same thread after finishing posting.

I want to ask maybe this is off the topic but there is indeed a situation that makes us a hassle to see the reply when there is indeed a reply to the topic we discussed. is it only here to find who replied to the discussion we made manually?



Or maybe there are other options such as notifications to find out replies or anything related to what i have discussed in a post?

Sorry if this is offensive but i still don't know the whole about altcoinstalk because I've read some topics related to the forum but didn't find an answer to my problem.

That seems to be the case. You can check the settings on your profile to filter which topics or boards you'll get notified though, so there are customizations if that interests you. As far as I can tell, this is how most SMF-based forum works. If you want to get a notification tool for each reply addressed to you and not the whole topic, you probably need a custom script for that or an update to the forum in general. CMIIW.

I agree that I'd like to see it by default we go back to the topic after we post, but every forum is different and as long as they provide a fix(which they have) I can deal with it.

I did see the modify profile and all what I see here is profile, is it that the feature only appears on desktop and not on mobile phones? I am still using the analog method of going back to my post by clicking on "Attachments and other options" and " Return to this topic" though I have not tried desktop or laptop to check if it is there. Look at what I have on my profile.
