I'm checking threads here if there is a discussion that mentioned that we can post a video link here and the link will play the video but there is none.
It's good that we can post a live video here not just a link to the video but we can watch the video within the post, this will encourage members to promote their videos or post videos that are related to the discussion.

There are some special sections where you can promote your stuff. Promoting videos in other sections is not an appropriate use of this function.

In most sections this option can be used to add some additional info to your main post, not instead of the post to promote your video or just a video with a promotional text.

If it is possible to add a rule, "the topic subject must contain the [VIDEO] tag"
I'm not a supporter of any video blogs and I wouldn't be happy to find it in threads. With tag, I could simply avoid them.

I think they should reduce the default size of youtube video window.
It is taking way to much space and I would make it much smaller, maybe thumbnail size would be perfect, and anyone could easily increase size to full screen if they want.

Yes, we can integrate a Youtube video into our chart like we can insert a script or code snippet-like structure in writing blogs. For example, we can insert the youtube link snippet and hit enter on LinkedIn or on the Medium platform. There are many other free platforms where we can public articles and can integrate a YouTube link in that article. Which proves to be very helpful.

To be honest, I don't see the purpose of this post, are you trying to let others know that we have this feature here, but I don't see any good use of it, while we could have only given the link also. But these Youtube snippets do save us a lot of time and energy the CPU as well, but posting more videos might increase the crime rate like spamming of posts, activity or karma, etc. That's why I prefer that less videos should be uploaded here.

Yes, I have noticed that thing but I don't think that posting live videos will be more helpful than posting a link. I always love to watch videos directly on YouTube or on platform where those links take me, but surely for those videos that might cover a review and tell someone how to use a platform then those kind of live videos on such threads can be helpful a lot.

I'm not sure if this type of activity will add extra load on the forum but I'm quite sure that posting live videos on every post will run the writing experience on this forum and that's why the ones who might be posting a video should include word "Video" on title of the post. That way users can understand that the thread might contain a video and the ones who don't prefer video content can then avoid such posts.

Try to get the admin's attention. Changing the global rules is out of the boundaries of moderator's abilities.

Op you would have given examples for us to see how it works but from the Op, I only saw an image and not video which people can watch it as you said. And I don't think that function works in the forum though I have not tried it but even your own is not a video for people to watch but an image for people to see. It is only in social media that the function works and not in these forums.

This is really awesome, I did not notice there is a Youtube tag in the text editor of this forum till this post, there are three tags that allow us to add Youtube components, Well, if you was informing us about this feature then you should also give a small tutorial about them to newbies like me who still now used them in any post.

Well, I know using tags is not a hard task, because after using one or two we get to know how to use them but a tutorial would make things more easy. But still thanks for bringing this feature to our eyes, I will keep it in mind and try to use it when needed.

I have never tried to upload any youtube videos in this forum but since youtube has several symbols using them maybe youtube videos can be uploaded in the forum. YouTube related three functions have been added in this forum where one can upload video, one can upload video link and another can add channel link of any YouTuber.

I've noticed this feature since the first time I wanted to post something, because there's a YouTube logo at the top of the text box. As for its use, this can be very useful when we're discussing topics that require sources from outside, and for promotions it might also work if the embedded video is interesting enough.

One thing to note is, we can add a width size to make it look more proportional. Here's how to post it:
