A "Post Count" feature would be Nice - @admin

From this "frozen activity" which I am currently in the middle of, I've come to think that an independent "post count" feature would be Nice, something that stands alone and doesn't rely on activity or karma, but just adds based on a user's plus posts counts, or reduces based on a user's minus posts counts(minus posts count is when a user deletes his or her post, or a mod deletes a user's post, then it reflects on the user's post count by minusing the number of posts that was deleted).

The frozen activity feature for the ranking of users can still be kept if it's something the forum can't really do without, but please give us a "Post Count" feature that is independent of a user's activity, or earned positive karma on the forum, but just simply keeps count of the number of posts a user have made on the forum generally.
This will also help our campaign managers to easily keep track of our weekly post counts with ease, wouldnt be ultimately necessary for a manger to go into a user's profile and use the "show post" function before he or she knows how many posts I made for the week, for those who's activity are frozen like mine.

Please consider this suggestion as very important and urgent sir, @admin.

Why is it urgent? Your manager knows how to count your posts and you aren't close to ranking up. I don't understand what is so urgent about your request. Please feel free to educate me on your reasoning.

You and others, even myself might feel certain things are urgent, but they may be more urgent to us vs the well being and growth of the forum. We all just need to relax, make suggestions, and let things happen.

Your suggestion is a nice one and I highly agree with you but it can't be implemented on urgent basis because the admin is a single person and he need to do a lot of work on daily basis especially on this forum. Implementing of new features take time and we all should wait for sometime before the admins finds a way to implement that feature.

We should be thankful to admin for being so nice with us and we also should be thankful to coders who created scripts, and bots for us so we can use the forum more effectively. I think we might need some good SMF patch creators like PowerGlove on this forum who may help admin with the SMG patching by making patches that enable those features.

Maybe he thinks that he wont receive his payment from signature campaign or he will receive few bucks less because of this

OP Let the admin breathe a little man, I am sure managers will manage to count your precious posts correctly.

Sorry about the poll, I didn't mean it to look or seem like a pressure to or on you in any way, and thanks for removing it, as long that makes you feel ok, rest assured it's OK for me as well.

And don't fret, I believe in a short while, we all, or most of us, can comfortably donate to the forum to enable you hire one or two more  persons who would assist with all the pressure of coding, building and implemention of new features, that time is not very far I believe.

I hate to put people under any kind of pressure, or have them doing any extra work for my sake. And yes, my manager did count my post wrongly, obviously due to my frozen activity, he counted my total post for the week as 10 instead of 28, I had to pm him and also write him in our campaign ANN thread telling him of the error, and how to have it rectified, with a "Post Count" such error wouldnt have occured, and my manager wouldnt have had to go into my post history to count my posts one after the other if he doesn't want to.

As much as I want this feature implemented as soon as possible, I am not in a haste as you think, and understand that this is not because of me alone, several other users will still arrive at this stage where their activity will be frozen if nothing is done about this, and this same complaint and suggestion will come up again and again, so, the sooner we get this done and over with, the faster we focus on other important things.

I do apologize for getting on your case for the wrong reason.

No offense taken boss, I sincerely understand and see things from your point of view, and i understand this is not something to rush.

You remember when I complained about my frozen history sometime within last week, you advised me not to worry, that manager would use the "show post" function in my profile to know how many posts I made for the week, I did believe and this is the reason why i didn't bother contacting my manager about the issue.
But when I checked our campaign spreedsheet this morning, i saw that my manager counted my total posts for the week as 10, that is, my opening activity for the week, which acts as post count was 1990, and my closing activity  for the week was 2000 (which is were it got frozen), so, manager seeing that assumed I only made 10 post 😁, I had to rush and pm him to please look into my post history and count my posts from there, that my activity is frozen at 2000, and thank goodness he saw the message before sending out payment for the week, so he corrected it.

I also believed that managers do go through post history of campaign participants for the same reasons you mentioned, but then, like you said, they are humans with real life problems as well, its understandable that some times, due to being in a haste to get one thing done so as to move on to another, they may not always have the time to go through each participants posts history to count it one after the other, so, they may likely overrule this for some participants, most especially those they are sure don't spam, and don't post in places where the campaign rules says not to, as posts there won't count.

Activity parameter is based on posts amount partly, but doesn't correspont with it the full way. So no, if you already have your activity it doesn't depend on how many posts did you leave previously (as at the moment). But your online time, date of registration, karma and other parameters affect the situation and you didn't get all that unlike the activity. So activity freeze depends on other parameters, not on your post count.
