I'd rather choose Bitcoin than other altcoins and I have applied this principle since 2017 when I first got to know cryptocurrency because I know cryptocrurency is also looking for Bitcoin, not other coins.
Very simple for the example in the real world, the choice between iron and gold, then everyone will choose Gold over Iron because they have a reason that Gold is difficult to mine and has a better value than iron.

I think Bitcoin being king is mostly based on the fact that it has been around the longest, and it has the strongest community trust and support. It doesn't mean it doesn't have faults - the problems mentioned in the original post are all too real. But they are not unique to Bitcoin - many cryptocurrencies experience similar challenges.

There is too many reasons that bitcoin is the king of coins. The main and the biggest reason is its high price which is unbeatable. But I do not like some features like it requires too many fees to transfer from one wallet to another and it takes too much time also. I do not like these things.
