What are the chances BTC is replaced by something better soon?

Soon" would be in the next 1-3 years or so.
One of the biggest dangers for BTC is something more useful coming along and investors switching - a process which could happen extremely fast, once started.Only as long as the coins bring similiar advantages for the users, like BTC and LTC. No huge differences there, so I can definitely see 2 to say,5 crytos co-exist there. But imagine something came along that blew BTC out of the water - some coin with all the advantages of BTC, but much more improved than BTC! That would be a completely different ballgame game there.
So to all the tech savvy people in here - what advantages could other cryptocurrencies bring that will give them a crucial edge over BTC, and how fast could something like that come along?

I did not think that it would be possible that bitcoin would be replaced by something better. Bitcoin is already very strong at the top. So it will not be replaced by something else. If anyone replaces bitcoin then I think cryptocurrency will start from 0 again. Then surely there will be no substitute for bitcoin. That's my opinion.

In the crypto world still there is no crypto better than bitcoin so, there is no chance for now but in the future what will going to happen is unpredictable.

It is upto the highly qualified engineers who can think of it ,as far as value is concerned BTC will remain the king of crypto market and no coin is near to it having possibility of replacement.

We have a full faith on Btc and I don't see any other crypto currency will have chance to replace btc in next 3 years. Because its not easy for any other altcoin to make a good reputation in crypto market in short time. Btc already completed its 10 years successfully in the crypto market and I don't think so any other coin can make huge difference in short time and surpass btc its seems not possible as of now.

At the moment there are already many useful coins, but it is unlikely that any of them can compete with Bitcoin or replace it. I am not sure that this will happen soon. Bitcoin may reduce its dominance, but it will continue to grow in parallel with other cryptocurrencies, at least in the next few years.

It will never happen as no coin have the potential like bitcoin. Its supremacy cannot be challenged as no coin is showing the ability to compete it and nowhere near to it.

It is almost an imposibility.

With several options been develop daily in the blockchain industry,If BTC is not adding value to in value to investors sure it can be overtaken by other valuable coin in the near future,The crypto space is evolving, nothing is impossible in the space.

I believe in Bitcoin. I don't think any other crypto currency will have replaced bits in next 3 years. Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency in the world and it has already created its own value.  I have noticed on most exchanges, all coins in the cryptocurency market are dependent on bitcoin.

I'm doubt if there is an altcoin can replace bitcoin. People have already believed in bitcoin for many years, and it will be difficult to change.
I saw many people compare it with ethereum, they speculated ethereum may replace bitcoin. However, I think it is unlikely to happen as long as bitcoin is valuable and needed.

I my opinion it is possible, why? Because once bitcoin system down there will have something that will rise to replace the kingship of bitcoin in cryptocurrencies. The severe mistake could be the start of something better. But bitcoin team wouldn't allow to be  defeated by anyone.

Am not seeing any altcoins struggling to replace Bitcoin and on the other hand bitcoin is the father of all cryptocurrency and it will sit and watch other cryptocurrncy over take her.

It is possible that over time, Bitcoin may be replaced by a more promising coin and will cease to be the leader of cryptocurrency, since it is already technically lagging behind in development from most types of cryptocurrency. Now he still keeps on the remnants of its former popularity. However, the laws of the market are the same for everyone. If Bitcoin does not improve and is not competitive, it will go into the shadow of other cryptocurrencies.
