Gambling discussion / Re: Suitable for persons 18 plus to gamble
« on: May 09, 2024, 06:34:04 PM »
In many countries people under 18 are concerned minors, therefore they can't do many things. Gambling is on of them. It is true that if people under 18 are involved in gambling then it will certainly affect their academic life which is not good for society and the country.
But gambling itself especially how it was handled and served has loopholes that is why it is not a 100% accurate that none of the players are really old enough for the gambling activities. Here in my place illegal gambling is rampant and minors are able to jump into it right away but of course they do take the risks not only getting possible losses and distraction academically but also the risk of getting caught by authorities.

Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling for All?
« on: May 09, 2024, 06:28:59 PM »
If you are experienced or not doesn't matter. In gambling you have to depend on luck. If you are lucky then you can win a big jackpot. If you are experienced all you can do is to be a bit more cautious. So I believe everyone can do gambling but it would be better if they take it as a fun. It is true that you can win occasional jackpot but it is not to be taken as a source of income.
Yeah I agree. No matter what and how much we gamble and regardless of bets we had as long as we are having fun it's what really is for and nothing else because wnning a jackpot is just one in a million and it is just a bonus for trying our luck.

The Chinese government's attitude towards crypto won't change so easily. But if that changes, it could lead to a revolution in cryptocurrency. But what I understand is why crypto is being discouraged in that country. It has now become a diplomatic issue. Since the US has a positive view on crypto, the Chinese government will never take it positively. This is the main problem. But if the Chinese government were to favor its country's miners, the country would benefit the most from crypto and add a new dimension to cryptocurrencies. I hope that the attitude of the government of that country will definitely change in the future.
China has experienced times when it accepted crypto, but due to environmentally damaging mining reasons and other issues, ultimately banned it from being accepted. Maybe it's certain that they want to be able to master or control crypto, especially Bitcoin, but they can't do it and this is a problem in itself for the future of crypto development in their country. So, because their country's system is that power rests with the state, no one will be able to intervene in any decision made by the highest leadership, in contrast to European/US countries which may be flexible in dealing with crypto.
We believe that one day China will be able to accept crypto again, but it's not easy to know when that will happen.
It's true, they realize that the very limited supply of bitcoin will have a negative impact on their economic condition. If they continue to give permission for the use of bitcoin, Bitcoin will be used by China's enemies to destroy China. So China's move to not give permission to Bitcoin is quite the right decision.
But China do have a specific place just for crypto like Hong Kong. That is I think the only place there that you can trade cryptocurrency. I am not that sure if there is another city aside from Hong Kong but yeah I just don't know why some people think and said that Bitcoin is banned in China.

I think the UAE has quite skewed the poll by a bit, because most Emiratis themselves do not own any crypto. Actually, there are a ton of foreigners who come from other countries and move to Dubai. Most of these people are very rich and chances are they brought some crypto with them. So actually what is being compared in that statistic is not the number of citizens (or even residents) who own crypto in each country, but rather the population density of crypto-owners, including people who just happen to be visiting the countries at the time.
For me this is more accurate, as I can see on social media a lot of foreigners are settling in Dubai for the above reason which is the zero tax thing. I don't think it was based on numbers of people living in a specific country as well but instead it's literally crypto owners alone but I just don't know how they do the survey as we all know hundreds of possible wallet addresses can be owned by just one person so yeah no doubt UAE is on the top list.

With the advancement of digital technology we are moving towards cashless society. In future people will use more credit card , online payment and carry less cash. That doesn't mean fiat currency will disappear. Also the use of digital currency/cryptocurrency will be even more common. Cryptocurrency especially Bitcoin have been gaining ground sharply and this trend will continue.
Paper money might disappear but they do have already the digital version of it  so it will still go head to head along with Bitcoin depending on transactions. I can also see that cashless society will be achieved fully in the future because of digital assets that can be used in all kinds of transactions.

....
It is because Chinese government has mastered how to make effective debt trap to discreetly fool third world countries just like what had happened to Sri Lanka because they do have plans and interests that might give them an advantage to their competitors especially militarily.

Exactly, and this "quiet hidden colonization" of third world countries, is far scarier than the days of colonial possessions. As you have noticed - most of the third world countries that got independence never learned to use it, and moreover "got into" even worse history, where you can't get "freedom" anymore. And China, yes, really needs such "debtors", because they need managed "economically dependent colonies" to save their economy, i.e. essentially parasitizing on other countries....
Yeah and I do hope that no other countries will fall to this kind of thing ever again and other countries that suffers to that may serve as a lesson to leaders who wants to take risks. But in fairness China's technological innovation is at high level despite being targeted by it's oppositions especially in electronics and other sectors though they do have that advantage but they should have lessen it's agressiveness towards it's neighbors so they don't boycott it's products and stuff.

Bitcoin's direction remains uncertain, but I was fortunate to have paired some USDT with BTC on Bitget's smart portfolio, which allowed me to accumulate more BTC as it dropped. Now that BTC is pumping again, I've already increased my holdings and am hoping this upward momentum continues for further profits.
I think you are very smart about investing because when the bitcoin market is dumping a lot everyone should keep some usdt and with that saved usdt to buy bitcoins should make a good investment position. If Bitcoin is bought from such a position, it can be seen that a lot of success can be achieved by investing in a short period of time. I have the same mindset as you towards investing when there is a lot of dumping in the market I hold some USDT and it seems like there will be no more dumping from here and it will go up then I invest and it turns out that I got a lot of success in a short period of time.
The dumping market for bitcoin will still exist, there is still the next wave that has not yet been created, just wait, I don't want to create FUD for bitcoin but from the analysis I did of several price movements after the halving it looks like it has decreased. Prepare as much USDT as you can.
Yeah as this signals accumulation then if we do have USDT with us then we can fill in our bags right after we can pinpoint the best entry. You are absolutely right as I can also see down trend on 1 month time frame good sign for buyers but I don't know how deep it take this cycle until the next rally.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Was the halving created much tension you?
« on: May 09, 2024, 05:41:23 PM »
Halving as the name implies has keep many people on suspend till with the mindset that it would automatically create new price level.
What was different this time is that we reached ATH before the halving, something unlikely every other cycle.
You are correct, that is a truth that such has never happened, so, don't you think this could be a the cause of spot bitcoin ETF?
Since this never occurred before, and there is every likelihood that we might still see another stumbling price in bitcoin.
Maybe it is because of some factors like the approval of Bitcoin ETF and stuff that is why it triggers ATH before the halving instead of happening after the said event. As we all know that change is the only constant, therefore it sometimes won't go on what we expected to happen like the history of events will repeat itself but it didn't this time. But the only thing we can do regardless of events is to accumulate as much as we can.

Philippines (Tagalog) / Re: Mempool Observer Topic
« on: May 09, 2024, 04:26:39 PM »
Baka may naghahabol ng priority kabayan kaya ganyan sya kataas o baka naman ay marami nagrerebump ng fee kaya naging pataasan yung show ng mempool matutuwa mga miners dyan kapag ganyan kasi mataas reward.

As of this post nasa 19sats/vb yung lowest priority medyo mas mababa compared dyan sa fee update mo kabayan.
Ang ganda ng fees ngayon mga kabayan, kung meron kayong mga pending na transactions, okay na okay niyo na siya gawin ngayon.

Heto ang update sa ngayon:

Code: [Select]
No Priority      Low Priority         Medium Priority     High Priority
10 sat/vB          13 sat/vB            13 sat/vB          13 sat/vB
$0.86               $1.11                  $1.11             $1.11
Wow! Sarap kung ganito kababa or mas mababa pa dyan pero yeah alam naman natin na that low fee ay temporary lang kaya the best na igrab natin opportunity habang mababa pa since tumataas yan depende sa traffic ng transactions mag-aagawan sa priority kaya tumataas.

As of this post ganito parin sya pero nakita ko kanina nasa 14 yung low, 15 medium at 16 ang high priority coincidence lang siguro na bumalik sa 13sats/vb lahat ng priority.

Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Info and Prediction Thread
« on: May 08, 2024, 07:59:38 PM »
I good chance for Lomachenko to get on the track, because after that loss to Devin Haney, which looked like a robbery, he might be morally not ready fight. I am not quite sure that Kambosos is on the same level with Lomachenko to go full distance with him. If we look on their records, then Kambosos last fights were less convincing that he is the best, than Lomachenko. A questionable loss to Haney and two wins vs victory by majority decision and 2 losses. I am not surprised we have odds like that.
It could be that promotions is cooking something that is why it resulted in a controversial fight?  Because in the past years I've been watching boxing matches I've seen more questionable fights that happened against our country's team that is why a boxer should always have a knock out so anomaly could be prevented especially if the management's intention is to have a rematch so they can profit more from promotions. I could be wrong but yeah that is what I -observed.

Gambling discussion / Re: How did the gambling life Start?
« on: May 08, 2024, 07:53:18 PM »
My gambling journey started by watching ads in the internet. After seeing various casino ads, I visited most of them. This is how I started my gambling journey. I gambled many casino sites sometimes I won and sometimes I lost.
Do you think you will still continue gambling after those losses? Are you just gambling for fun or you are hoping for something good luck to happen? Because I personally do enjoy playing gambling but the reason why I place bets on lottery is that I expect something good in return. 😅

Gambling discussion / Re: should gambling be completely banned?
« on: May 08, 2024, 07:49:14 PM »
I believe in some countries especially Muslim countries gambling is not legal. It is banned in some countries. Under age children should not be allowed to gamble, as it will adversely affect their academic activities. It will also affects extracurricular activities.
Well yeah but we all know that even it is not accessible in other countries with strict regualtion or even banned, some gamblers are still able to play by using vpn's I know some people who play gambling in places which gambling is prohibited but that is on their own risk. It will literally affect minors as they were being influenced by false promotions that sometimes may trick their young and weak minds.

I personally have majority of my previous bets in loss I was unlucky those times but maybe soon luck will be mine. I do have small profit before but in reality as long as we keep on placing bets we won't realize our loss will be more than the value of our winnings sad reality. It is all okay as long as we are having fun and taking lessons in every mistakes and lapses we did in our gambling activities.

I still believe holding bitcoin will be very profitable in the future.
120k is not impossible, and it is already 100% from now.

I am holding about 80% of the coins I ever owned.
I know holding Bitcoin could be profitable and 120k to 1M is very possible but not very soon. It will take Bitcoin many years to reach 1M, till then it will lie below 100k most of the time. I'm bullish about it in this bull run, I expect that it will reach at least 100k when bull run gets intensity but it's not likely to reach 300k in this bull run however a few people think that it will cross $150k in this bull run.
We just need to be patient when holding bitcoin, because it's not impossible when talking about bitcoin. We have also seen how bitcoin continues to run and is always able to reach ATH when it moves up.

It's just that we can't be sure when Bitcoin will reach that price. For example, 120 thousand is not impossible, but we don't know when we will see bitcoin reach that price. There is no doubt when it comes to bitcoin.
Bitcoin is always safe to hold long term, talking about prices like you said $120K is reasonable to happen but when will it happen? End of this year or early next year. This is a question that many people ask, even though we know that Bitcoin is unpredictable and no one can predict it accurately
The best long term investment is Bitcoin no doubt about that. But reaching a specific price like new ATH I think that is possible maybe last quarter this year or early 2025 but yeah that is just an educated guess so not something we can rely on especially in this volatile industry.
