PS4 平台上《Fortnite》遊戲早前被捲入跨平台風波，曾玩過 PS4 版《Fortnite》都無法在其他平台上同步遊戲進程，引起不少玩家反感。如今， Sony CEO 吉田憲一郎在 IFA 的訪問環節中終於一鎚定音，暗示 PS4 版本的《Fortnite》將不會支援跨平台功能。

吉田憲一郎在訪問中表示， PS4 平台是遊玩《Fortnite》的最佳選擇，暗示未來將不會推出跨平台功能。事實上， PS4 早前亦封鎖了《Minecraft》及《Rocket League》的跨平台功能，更使 Microsoft 及任天堂聯手宣傳跨平台功能以作回應。

雖然吉田憲一郎並不直接參與 PS4 的管理工作，但他作為 Sony 之首，發言亦應與 Sony 決策一致，雖然他並未完全否決跨平台遊戲，但看來 Fortnite 玩家的完全跨平台夢想最終都無法實現了。
