There are hundreds of companies in the United States that continue to do business with Russia, which is "supposed" to be a sanctioned country. And I say "supposed" because money, at the end of the day, is still money, just like business. One thing is how governments want to project sanctions internationally for starting a war and quite another is what happens between companies in private, everything is hypocrisy.

Regarding the way Block Inc. acts, I don't think there is much more to add, greed in its purest form to continue accumulating money without regard to sanctions or ethics or morals. Something that does not surprise me in the businesses that Jack Dorsey gets into, although the press has always called him the technological genius.

This is a very interesting article from Fortune that elaborates on what I said in the first paragraph: Over 300 U.S. companies still operate in Russia.

I don't think it will be long until we see some teleported users move up the list. In just four months some of them have accumulated a good amount of karma., so if the same pace is maintained at the end of this year we will see some of them among the top 10-20 positions. In any case, accumulating a lot of karma should not become an obsession either, although it is possible to exchange it for forum tokens (I think the administrator still needs to make some adjustments), the most important thing is to contribute to the forum.

Forum related / Re: Badges that encourage spamming the forum..
« on: May 06, 2024, 08:32:18 PM »
And posting that number of 25 to 50 must make the person to comment out of f point because the number is high and he will like to meet up the number to attain the barges therefore spamming will be unavoidable . And as you said, for one to contribute meaningful to the forum the person needs time to think and know what he is writing, if not the person will be posting trash to meet up the number and achieve the badge. Spamming should be discouraged and avoid and post only on the topic you can write well and understand what you writing.

These badges are simply “unlocked achievements” that in no way encourage users to spam since obtaining these types of badges does not carry any type of reward (no rank upgrade, no extra karma, no points or forum tokens). It is a way to show the dedication to the forum of the user who earns the badge. I still think the OP didn't understand what the badges mean.

That can be a big possibility and since the people of Tumbler is not communicating or issuing any official statement then we can only speculate on this development. Let's hope that there is nothing so consequential with what is happening on this platform and that they can come back doing business for the cryptocurrency industry. We know that the very nature of its business can be attracting not-so-pleasant inquiry from the government or even attacks coming from hackers. Anyway, let's wait for any official statement from Tumbler and let's hope it can happen ASAP!

That's why I asked if it could be that they had stopped providing service, even temporarily, due to attacks for example. What is not normal, in addition to what is happening and the reasons that we still do not know, is that there is no communication, like what happened to @AB de Royse777. It is possible that everything is by their own decision, but I don't know if it could be for reasons beyond the control of the owners or because of some request they received from some governmental power. Looking at the cases of recent weeks, it would be something that unfortunately does not seem strange to me.

Payment for last week will send later today. You are free to remove bio information that is related to Tumbler.
Payment sent, please check your wallet. When there is any update about the campaign, I will let you know.
Thank you everyone for your service, it was nice working with you in this campaign. Let's hope we get back everything in order in this campaign.

Cheers,

Bitcoin News & Updates / Re: Roger arrested
« on: May 05, 2024, 07:53:35 PM »
I am impressed how come this guy was free all those years after scamming so much people with that bitcoin cash (which is neither bitcoin nor cash)

He is a big scammer imo. He could have created his fork, but he didn't need to call it the real bitcoin and use bitcoin.com  to spread lies about it etc..

I don't know if Roger Ver is a scammer or not, but what I do know is that he has been attacking Bitcoin for many years. And the most annoying thing about that is that Ver didn't need to do it, it was the perfect excuse to promote his stupid fork and get a lot more money than he already had. I have always thought that Ver is nothing more than another well-known person in the industry who all he has done is leave the community with a bad image in front of the general public. Roger Ver could join the list with Do Kwon and others.

icorpess, send me in telegram - @FrogMixer

Please, you can send a PM to icopress to get in touch with him. You don't need to repeat the same post several times. This way we avoid threads with repetitive posts and the information is clearer.

Thank you.

I am currently unable to contact UniJoin. It seems their website is now down and their Twitter account has been deleted (or suspended).

Therefore, until the circumstances are clarified, I will rename the thread to “Closed” and delete links leading to the site.

What comes to my mind is that they suspended work like Wasabi did.

Crypto Gigs or Tasks [Requests] / Re: [Request] Blogging - 250$

I can make SEO for your project, making logos, design the images.

This thread is over a year old and the OP (@Koala) hasn't logged into the forum since May 9, 2023. I doubt the offer is still valid. Before reviving old threads, where the OP hasn't responded for several months, make sure those threads have had recent activity by the user who started the thread. Otherwise the forum will be filled with old abandoned threads without any progress.

Announcements [ANN] / Re: 🌀 UniJoin Stopped Working
« on: May 05, 2024, 08:20:14 AM »
I don't think it's a coincidence considering what's happened in recent weeks with Samourai and Wasabi. I hope the UniJoin team finds a way to continue offering the service and as @paid2 says I hope we hear good news soon. Something tells me that "the police of the world" continue doing what they want, trying to eliminate privacy on the Internet.

There are those who think differently, this is just a correction, we are not entering a bearish season. they think bitcoin will experience a decline for some time before rising to a price higher than the previous ATH, I also think this is also a good analysis. We see that currently the price of bitcoin is rising again.

After a rapid rise, a correction is inevitable, and not only that, it is positive for the market, but it does not always imply the beginning of a bear market. And even less at the current moment, where Bitcoin (and the entire market) is returning to previous values from just a few weeks ago. In any case, and contrary to what some users think, I do not think that Bitcoin will reach a new ATH this year, the market is pending too many things (ETF, regulations...) and previous halvings have taught us many things.

I don't know what could be happening, but I tried to visit the Tumbler Mixer onion website and I get the following error:

Quote
Details: 0xF0 — The requested onion service descriptor can't be found on the hashring and therefore the service is not reachable by the client.

The website hosted on Clearnet does not load either, but it doesn't provide details or a specific error number.

I'm not trying to create panic or alarm anyone, but is it possible that they have shut down the service (even temporarily) for some reason?.

Forum related / Re: Karma can no longer be converted into Tokens
« on: May 04, 2024, 07:59:09 AM »
Yes, admin has complete knowledge about the requirements, but I believe that most of the users whose activity was frozen are having unfrozen activity on their profiles now. The reason could be an internal update on the requirements.

In reality, each user is different in this case. The requirements (number of posts, total time spent online and a still unknown amount of karma, when the administrator finally implements it on the forum) are not always the same, it depends, for example, on whether the user is a Full Member or Legendary. The higher the next rank, the higher the requirements to achieve it. Therefore, the time needed may vary, especially at higher ranks.

Privacy Coins Forum / Re: OKX to delist privacy coins

Alas (unfortunately), the exchanges do what they are told. In the future, the situation will worsen in this regard, because there will be strong regulation not only of anonymous assets but also of exchanges.

There are only two ways out, or they obey the jurisdiction + those rules/laws or completely close their activities, both with exchanges and projects. In my understanding, there can be no other way. Again, what you and I are seeing is just the beginning of regulation, the further it goes the worse it gets. Alas...  :(

It is very clear that if exchanges do not cooperate (voluntarily or not) with governments, they will end up losing the licenses that allow them to keep their businesses running. But if they are going to require more information and reinforce KYC/AML policies they must also think that part of the users (those who care most about their privacy) could stop using those exchanges and trade on other platforms.

It is possible that all this will lead in the future to "all" exchanges using the same methodology to demand private information from users, which would lead us to the fact that if we wanted to trade on exchanges with large volumes, we would have to do KYC, even if we didn't want to. In fact, I think something like this could happen, since the KYC requirements on the most well-known exchanges are becoming more similar every day.
