Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Basic Concepts Of Bitcoin Mixers
« Last post by Lucius on Today at 06:07:20 PM »
*not anonymity
Let's not kid ourselves here, Bitcoin is not *anonymous* like Monero is. It is at best pseudonymous, otherwise we would not have to worry about all these blockchain analysis scrapers compiling data about our transactions.

Fortunately for all of us, Bitcoin is not anonymous in the true sense of the word, because the question is whether it would be at this level of recognition and "permission" today. It's no secret that practically from the earliest days, the world's most powerful three-letter agencies have been working on user identification and transaction methods - and they certainly don't do that because they're bored in life.

Bitcoin has become a threat since the Genesis block, but with time the idea of cryptocurrency is being suppressed, and the idea of digital gold and trading through futures & spot ETFs and through CEXs enables more and more control over those who use it.

Mixing bitcoins does not make them anonymous either, it just makes them a little more pseudonymous. It is a limitation of the Bitcoin protocol.

That's right, we also had the opportunity to see it on concrete examples of someone who posted a topic on BTT about how he managed to break some mixers, although all but CM at that time. Has anything changed today in the way mixers work - probably not much, but as I already wrote, a little imagination after mixing can make things more complicated for those who analyze the blockchain.

In the past, I used to check my holdings in my wallet just like watching a horse race as if I would be winning something if a coin will make it to a certain level. Surely, many people are also doing it now as top coins are getting to be very volatile. I checked the site mentioned above and it is actually good...this is my first time to know of it and I am adding it to my bookmarks.
Though there nothing wrong, checking the market from time to time, but as a long term Bitcoin investor constantly checking the market may reduce the time span of your initial investment plan. I only check the market when I'm less busy or hear news of Bitcoin breaking a new Ath. Or again when I'm doing research on an altcoin I wish to invest in, I try my best to monitor it's movement chart just before I proceed with the investment.

Gambling discussion / Re: Whats your experience with gambling?
« Last post by ajiz138 on Today at 06:05:07 PM »
I did not have a good time while gambling. It was full of losses. This made me quit gambling some years ago.
You are an example of one of the few individuals who can quit gambling. Quitting gambling is not easy for many gamblers because if a survey is carried out to find out the experience of gamblers in general, we will have more gamblers who claim to have had a negative experience gambling than gamblers with a positive experience, but still, the number of gamblers is not reducing. That is proof that some gamblers who have had negative experiences with gambling have still not been able to stop themselves from continuing to gamble.
You are right, not everyone can just stop gambling, even if they continuously experience losses, but their urge to gamble becomes stronger.

As long as they still have money to play with, they will continue to play, no matter whether they always lose or not. This may be what will drive someone to become addicted in the end. They are chasing the losses they experienced before and they hope to recover all their losses.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: High fees is a never ending story?
« Last post by Gurujebs on Today at 06:04:21 PM »
It's now down to more or less $5 so it's good to have transaction right now as it might go back up again later on. But if the fee will continue to drop I think it would be better since that is the only way transactions will become convenient and worth it. But my transaction just recently got me I think that was more or less $15 for a small amount of Bitcoin transfer.

Isn't it strange that transaction just become less empty in the memory pool within yesterday or those guys just stop their attack? With this development we should have more less fees during the weekend and I hope to see my stuck transactions comes out of the mempool and be verified as soon as possible.

By the way, I want to see some relationship between how Bitcoin price and the amount miners will be able to make monthly since the halving reward has reduce by half, maybe they will continue to manipulate the mempool to suit their revenue or not.

Signature Campaigns / Re: Altcoinstalks Signature Campaign Observer
« Last post by examplens on Today at 05:59:27 PM »
Some of us spotted BestChange on the chat today. I thought they had teleported their account here. But after checking their profile, I have noticed that they have been in this forum since 2018. But they have been active lately. I won't be surprised if they start their signature campaign in this forum as well. I don't know if they had any campaign in this forum or not, but considering the recent activity spike of this forum, it won't be a bad decision to kick off a new campaign.  ;)

They have been present on this forum for 6 years, why would they start a signature campaign now?
I would say that it is not the first goal of every service to have a signature campaign.

btw. They were more or less as active here as they were on the Bitcointalk forum, just look at their ANN thread.

Everton team will be so strong this season I never imagined, and I bet for Liverpool team. The Liverpool team has performed well this whole season, and they have managed to score goals in every match. But coming to this match, there was no way to attack successfully, Liverpool team lost only because of the goal difference in this match, but you will be surprised if you look at the history of the whole game.  The game was divisive inside and Liverpool had over 77% of the ball for most of the match.

If not that Fifa was very unfair with the decision to demote Everton because of their financial fair play FFP when Manchester City is still working freely with more than 100 plus count charges for not following the rules of fifa and they are having nice time trying to be the league title but I guess their oil money is controlling the system.

I'm happy for them that they are atleast winning some tough team and are now many points away from relegation team, with this performance next season, they can still feel like try harder for a better spot in the Premier League.

If you used P2P from a trusted exchanges such as Binance and Bybit, I think there is no need to worry. It's because they won't immediately get your funds without your confirmation that you already received a payment. If you think that the merchant are delaying the payment, maybe it's because of the late notification. I don't see any reason why merchant delay the payment because you can make an appeal if they made horrible actions.

The name is unfamiliar to me, Bitrefil offered similar kind of cashbacks in the past which is the only legitimate platforms I know in all my years of crypto journey, if you are not affiliated with the platform then be cautious and do your own research.

And users accepting crypto as an actual payments are very minimal that makes there is still room for the crypto adoption to happen.
