Here in my country, some places accept Bitcoin payments but here in my area I don't have any idea if there is one. The problem is the internet which is slow since I am living in a remote area.
If you are given a chance to put up a business, do you mind accepting Bitcoin payments?
-
I am Rokon.I lives in khulna and it is a southeast area of Bangladesh. Most of the people are poor.Probably BITCOIN not accepted in our area for local business.
-
No.
There are enough reasons why not:
- Bitcoin is still something very new to them and still confused about how to use them
- Payment using Bitcoin is not legal in this countnry so that we cannot use it for any kind of payment.
-
I have had a business for 1 year and I only accept payments using digital payment applications such as EDC machines, if there are customers and anyone who wants to pay using Bitcoin then I will accept it.
In some areas, the internet may be an obstacle to cryptocurrency transactions, but I have seen many payment methods without using the internet

Frankly speaking, I won't be wasting time creating the necessary infrastructure just to be able to accept Bitcoin, maybe the best thing to do is to join a network which accept many cryptocurrencies or a third-party platform. Right now, there is no boom of users who are using Bitcoin to pay anything. In fact, many in the past years were reporting luckluster business or revenues when they flashed the Bitcoin sign. Why is this so? Simple. People who are into Bitocin are usually holding them. It is just logical to never spend something which you are hoping to be growing in the coming days. That is human nature.
-
Yeah most people are now holding Bitcoins they don't want to spend it for future purposes. Aside from the internet the transaction fees also matters to them not unless using segwit supported wallets. Another reason is the adoption as majority of locals don't have any idea about it. Legality is also an issue to some countries they are afraid to get compromised by authorities.
-
Even I did not know any place near by to me accepting bitcoin might be I am not aware of any entity that is accepting bitcoin nearby to my place. Internet is not the issue at my place. I believe its good to start accepting bitcoin in a business but the real problem is BTC volatality that's the reason business entities hesitate to accept it.
-
In my country it is prohibited to make payments with bitcoin, currently only use bitcoin as an investment.

If I have a business I'll definitely accept Bitcoin this is also to educate and promote Bitcoin in our country, many people here have heard about Bitcoin but they do not have any ideas what Bitcoin is and how they work, I will educate my clients on how Bitocin works and it's many advantages.
-
It will be good to start up business that accept bitcoin as form of payment but first of all the staff's should also be trained on how to operate the system in how to accept or the process it will take because of those customers that will be paying with bitcoin in order to make sure the process go smoothly.

I don't think we are ready to accept bitcoins at the moment as a transaction tool. The problem is not about the internet. But financial regulations in our country have not approved bitcoin as a legal means of payment. But seeing that bitcoin has started to be accepted in other countries is good news that hopefully other countries will quickly follow ...

I am from a country where Bitcoin and cryptocurrency trading, accepting and relationship with it is fully illegal and if the authority can track, puts the users to the jail and more harassments. Everything we are doing behind the eyes of the authority. :)
But Govt are thinking about it. Hope very soon we may get positive results.

I believe one day your country will realize the importance of embracing Bitcoin as part of economic boost since it may generate tax on regulated local exchanges which will add revenue to fund projects. Less fortunate individuals will also take part on opportunities made by Bitcoin payments like offering services or buying goods it will also be convenient to use Bitcoin most especially during pandemic.

The situation is worse than Bitcoin so far, so I don't think local traders will accept Bitcoin yet.Because if you look at all the other countries in the world, one thing you must notice is that cryptocurrency transactions are now completely illegal in most countries of the world.Because if you look at all the other countries in the world, one thing you must notice is that cryptocurrency transactions are now completely illegal in most countries of the world. If I had a business, then I would definitely accept payments in bitcoins because it is very cool, convenient and fast. And I think a lot of clients would be happy about it.

Some clients prefer not to use Bitcoin because they want to hodl it rather than use it and reserve it for future purposes. But some others will try to pay with Bitcoin because of convenience.
-
Of course, if the government of our country ever gives us the opportunity to use Bitcoin, then we will definitely do Bitcoin transactions. Because you don't have to pay any tax when trading Bitcoin, the amount of profit if you trade with Bitcoin will be higher in case of business. I believe that by 2030, Bitcoin transactions will be introduced in all parts of the world.

Bitcoin is a virtual currency. The price of which sometimes seems to be dumped and pumped again. And this bitcoin has become very popular in our country. We think this country will improve a lot because of this popularity.
-

There are many places in Bangladesh where no one has any idea about cryptocurrency. Basically they will never actually trade Bitcoin because they will never trust the currency. There are many villages in Bangladesh who live below the poverty line and will never be able to use bitcoin. But those who know about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency will definitely trade Bitcoin if ever Bitcoin is legal in Bangladesh.
-

Yeah we all know that Bitcoin is volatile so we have to accept the fact that we are taking risk when we choose it to be our payment method. But one thing is for sure it keeps on climbing and we only experience temporary dips that ends a month or a year so if you are a long time hodler and you have extra money that is the best way to gamble Bitcoins through business.
-
It's a pity that using Bitcoin in payments is still illegal in Vietnam. Those who pay in BTC will be prosecuted and imprisoned. So we can only trade or hold BTC. The Vietnamese government is not ready to issue a legal framework or consider the value of Bitcoin.
-
Probably there are only I haven't paid attention, so far I haven't come across any local store accepting btc, many people don't have idea about btc, so even if there will be a store like that it will be difficult to locate.

Yes, you are right, In my country doesn't accept bitcoin for transaction in local store and other. Maybe at the coming years, we will see bitcoin has been accepted for.payment . I hope It will happen soon and good for crypto holder
-
If I don't mind if I have a business and pay it via BTC because what is it that makes it very easy for payments or transactions, if the payment via BTC can get a big profit because of what the price of BTC can change, it can go up or down if it's going down maybe will experience a loss but if it goes up, it is clear that the profits will be obtained.
-
It is sad but true that inour country it is not legal to trade or use crypto in any way. So there is no local seller who accepts BTC. I am waiting for the day when my country will remove ban from crypto and i can start my trading.

Same condition in our country bro we have to do everything behind the eyes of Govt but recently people are strted talking about bitcoin and i think soon my country will start accepting crytpo.

I think thats because people doesnt have much knowledge about crypto and blockchain. They dont jnow much about this. So they do not want to bother themselves in trying crypto.

Yeah I agree. But as soon as they will see us accepting Bitcoin payment they will surely be get curious and ask us about Bitcoin payment. That is where we can give them ideas and educate them about how Bitcoin works.

I won't mind. I would love to accept bitcoin as the most important part of my business. Its rapid development will clearly tempt anyone to do business using bitcoin. Get rid of your doubts and try immediately

Perfect opinion dear mate. If Govt can legalize and offers opportunity to exchange our income from crypto into local currency with taxes, it will add revenue to the funds of Govt which ultimately develop the economic conditions of the country. They only fear about control of it whether it will increase money laundering.

I will try accepting Bitcoin with my cousin's business because they will soon open a small business in my area. I've been also making trial and error with our internet because it's too slow and I hope it will be all fine.

I think It is a good idea , if you cousin business will accept bitcoin . Because in my countries , several business don't accept bitcoin yet. I hope bitcoin will be accepted at many businesses . It will be a good thing and will impact to market.

Bitcoin is still illegal in my country. So no business in my country is going to be able to imagine Bitcoin transactions yet. Because Bitcoin is still illegal in my country. But if I am allowed to trade Bitcoin transactions, I will not object to Bitcoin transactions. I want Bitcoin to be legal worldwide.
-
The business that is easiest to get paid with in Bitcoin is an online service business. for example, you become freelance in the online world. Work on projects, create articles, create reports or designs. Everything related to online services.
-
If you are given a chance to put up a business, do you mind accepting Bitcoin payments?
of course I will accept it as long as it can facilitate the transaction. But the problem is that in my area, there have been once appeared e-money which is more famous for using transactions, especially online and besides that the advantage is that it refers to a currency that is fairly stable in price

Pets
In case anyone is interested (although it is in Spanish) I leave the link here: https://bitempresa.com

Good to hear from Spain that there are a lot of Bitcoin payments in businesses. It's an advantage for Bitcoin enthusiasts in Spain to make businesses or pay for the most convenient way and fast in every transaction most especially during pandemic.

Not until now, even here there are still many people who are not familiar with Bitcoin. Maybe in the future, if Bitcoin is already in the territory of our government, we believe that many businesses in my area will use Bitcoin. For now most of the people who know their Bitcoin are more focused on investing and trading only.
-
Yes @0t3p0t, In Spain there are many places where they accept it, and the best thing is that they are quite distributed throughout the country:
https://coinmap.org/view/#/world/40.09067984/-4.10888672/7
New companies and businesses are added to that map every day, they are few if we compare them with other areas of the world, but the growth is remarkable and constant.

The more Bitcoin becomes popular in society, the more the infrastructure for using cryptocurrencies will develop. But nevertheless, in my country, in Ukraine, quite often I come across resources on the Internet that offer to buy electronic equipment for bitcoin. In addition, there is an ad on the network where the owners of cars and apartments offer to buy their property for cryptocurrency. I believe this is a very profitable and good trend for cryptocurrency users.

The access of the internet could be one of the best logical reason for accepting bitcoin in any payment transaction but because in our country is not yet doing transactions through cryptocurrency even there is an internet Im thinking that it is all about the mass adoption issues.
-
Our Bangladesh is a very poor country. We cannot transact bitcoin in such a way without giving legitimacy to bitcoin in this country. No one wants to sell anything through Bitcoin. But we can buy and sell anything with Bitcoin to our friends who have it. Moreover, no store or restaurant or local business can buy anything with this bitcoin.
-
some shopping places, tourist attractions and hotels already accept payments using bitcoin, it's just that there is no legal legality about using bitcoin because basically the government won't be able to do that, so local transactions using bitcoin depend on the seller accepting bitcoin or not.

Any country that does not allow its citizens to expand their businesses and have a better life is a country that puts chains on people's feet. It is totally unacceptable that they do not allow the use of other alternatives to the FIAT, I hope that changes soon.

Yes, in my country too, Most of people who know their bitcoin are more focused on trading and investing only. I don't see local business in my area accepting bitcoin now, maybe at the next several years again.
-
Bitcoin is getting more and more popular from time to time, although currently there are no businesses in my place that accept Bitcoin but I am optimistic that in two to five years Bitcoin will be accepted by all elements of society.
-
Businesses and companies that do not accept Bitcoin and crypto as a payment method are losing potential buyers, the more forms of payment a business accepts, the more customers it will have, as simple as that. Another thing is that some governments do not allow it, which seems a shame to me. That is a double-edged sword, since it avoids the imposition of more taxes that are improvements for the population, or so they should be.
-

Yes, In my place too..No business accepts bitcoin , But I also hope at the next several years we will see many companies will adopt and accept bitcoin and other for their payment transaction. So keep calm and wait .
-
Regret that in my country bitcoin and other all cryptocurrency are banned. We here generally used binance p2p for buying bitcoin.
Now our Senior working to legal and then we will be able to launch a this kind of system
-
If local countries have accepted Bitcoin as one of the payments I am sure that the country is a very open country, with their acceptable manner to Bitcoin.
However so silly, in my country, it is still forbidden if Bitcoin is used for payment. We can make it as an asset for trading or investment, but not for payment
-
Sure, I will accept Bitcoin for the payment if I have a local business. Unfortunately, it cannot be applied for now because it isn't allowed by the government. I think we still need much time to apply it as it is stated in our laws if only our national currency can be used for the payment tool. It must be revised or upgraded first to have a crypto payment here.
-
Bitcoin payments are not introduced here where I live. In the case of any business so far we have not done any business transaction through bitcoin in this country. But in a few days, maybe Bitcoin payment will be taken for all the business in our country. Since the neighboring countries have got the validity of Bitcoin, very soon Bitcoin transactions will be fully launched in our country.
-
Local businessmen will accept Bitcoin when Bitcoin is legalized worldwide and when Bitcoin is traded worldwide.Bitcoin is currently legalized in a number of developed countries around the world, and in most countries Bitcoin has not been officially approved. So in my opinion local traders can accept Bitcoin when it comes to transactions through Bitcoin all over the world.

-
some sellers in my country have started accepting payments using bitcoin, although not everyone can use it because only a few are familiar with transactions using bitcoin, but if transactions using bitcoin are too expensive, they sometimes provide solutions to accept payments with other coin alternatives which has very cheap transaction fees.
-
@mriansa that's what it's all about, adoption by citizens. If Bitcoin transactions are very expensive, companies and businesses can always use other cryptocurrencies in which the fee is much cheaper. It is a matter of using the one that works best for the use that each person wants to give it.

Brother congratulate you as you are new. Why only Khulna, Bitcoin has been declared illegal in the whole of Bangladesh. Since Bitcoin is illegal all over Bangladesh, it is normal for no local trader to trade in Bitcoin. Bitcoin has been legalized in many countries around the world. They are enjoying the full benefits of Bitcoin. I will pray that bitcoin will be legalized in our Bangladesh one day.
-
A local business that can be done, maybe I will open a courier service for a bitcoin fee. Because this courier service is also closely related to the online shop world. So I think this is pretty good to implement.
-
Cryptocurrency transactions can already be made in different countries. Most stores in Australia support cryptocurrency. Where market shopping can be done through cryptocurrency. On the other hand, cryptocurrency is not legal tender in many countries. In those countries, if the transaction is done through cryptocurrency, then the government of that country will take legal action. I think in countries where cryptocurrency has been legalized, everything can be transacted through cryptocurrency.

You can see that Bitcoin is not only supported in Australia. There are various developing countries in the world that have used Bitcoin on a regular basis in any transaction. They are buying any product with cryptocurrency payment.
-
I haven't seen any local business accepting crypto payment in my area, I don't know about other parts of the country but I have not heard anyone is accepting it yet, cause over here once you mention anything about crypto they see it as an investment tool rather than a faster way to make payments.

Bitcoin will be used in every case worldwide. However, this will require a lot of time. In our country some transactions are done through bitcoin. Although bitcoin is not allowed in our country. However, bitcoin transactions are done from user to user. For example, a Bitcoin user can make a purchase at another Bitcoin user's store.

Not all countries in the world accept bitcoin for trade. There is no approval for such purposes. In these countries it is not possible to transact in various shopping malls or business establishments. So you have to take a different path for the transaction.

I don't hear any establishment that accept BTC as a payment in my country. BTC is not that known here and most of the people don't know about it and some think it was just a scam. There are platforms however accept BTC to swap to the local currencies. hopefully as time goes by. As the time educate the people they could learn to accept BTC as part of the circulating currency that could exchange to goods and services.
-
Personally, I don't see any setback accepting BTC if I were to own a business. Quite large amount of merchant feels the same, I am certain.
In large part of Africa, bitcoin is being accepted in as an alternative and even preferable mode of payment for purchases.
I feel sensitisation and about bitcoin and its relevance/advantages compared to conventional financial system needs to be made known.
-
but if I have a business, then I will definitely accept payments in bitcoin or instant and others.
but Bitcoin is also still something very new to them and still confused about how.
-
We live in Russia and I have not yet seen a tender enterprise that would accept bitcoin as payment.
-
No, not yet. In my country, bitcoin is for investment purpose only.
