I think that bitcoin has already partially lost its popularity after its December price drop. Delov is that people previously believed that the rate of bitcoin will continuously increase. Therefore, they bought it even at the highest price increase. Now many of them suffered heavy losses. Especially those who sold their bitcoins in a panic already on a decent decline, trying to extract at least some of the remnants of the funds invested in it. After this, many people lost faith in bitcoin as a constantly growing miracle price. They just dropped to the ground, and with them fell popularity and bitcoin.

well i do agree with you that that the price of bitcoin has gone down for the last three months but as to whether it is losing its popularity or not. There is a trend on the exchange market these days . Ever since Bitcoin started to fall almost every coin also is falling with it. This should tell you that bitcoin spins the wheel of cryptocurrency and that alone is a gain of popularity.
some people say Ethereum will next Bitcoin but i am sure if you observe the coins market these days you will realize that Ethereum is also on a slope to the South. So ask yourself to which coin is Bitcoin loosing its popularity to.
