Reputation, Scams & Phishing / Freewallet scam - FAQ
« on: May 13, 2024, 09:17:48 PM »
We have prepared and published dozens of materials dedicated to the fraudulent project called Freewallet. These articles were published both on our websites and on forums, in communities, and on the pages of news resources. We are trying to warn as many users as possible: the Freewallet application was created by scammers. This “wallet” blocks clients’ assets, after which support simply ignores the victims’ requests.

Unfortunately, not all clients heeded our advice. Every day more and more victims come to us. Therefore, it is worth answering the questions that readers most often ask.

What exactly is Freewallet, and how does it differ from other cryptocurrency wallets?

According to the developers, Freewallet org is a multi-currency wallet with a reliable security system and user-friendly interface. In addition, the name of the application itself hints at free transactions. All this is a lie. It is enough to look at a few customer reviews to understand that a fraudulent project is operating under the guise of a wallet.

Most often, the wallet functions normally for the first few days. But as soon as the victim receives a large transaction, the system immediately blocks the account. Further, the administration demands more and more information and documents. Until, in the end, the victim does not understand: his coins are stolen, and everything else is just a way to distract attention from the scam.
What are the primary allegations and evidence surrounding the Freewallet scam?
To find enough scam accusations you may visit different websites:
•   Reddit.
•   Bitcointalk.
•   Medium.
•   Sitejabber.
On each of them you will find similar stories from real clients. Under the pretext of KYC/AML, the administration blocks outgoing transactions. After this, the support simply ignores the victims’ requests, responds with template messages and refuses to carry out verification.

But I found many positive Freewallet reviews. Aren’t they real?
No. These comments are prepaid by the administration. Fake positive reviews look like advertisements.
If you don't believe us, just ask yourself. Would I write huge rave reviews about a regular wallet? Why would I waste my time if everything tripled me? Most often, real clients do not write beautiful long posts mentioning all the advantages of any application. The maximum that they would do is give a high rating and write a few words that they are satisfied with everything. Reviews about Freewallet are suspiciously bright. It is clear that they were written by people who know how to make advertising materials.
I heard that Freewallet only blocks large transactions. I have very few coins. Maybe this wallet will be safe for me?
No. Freewallet scammers may block any transaction, even the small one.
If you choose a wallet to store your cryptocurrency savings, do not install Freewallet under any circumstances. You can find dozens of free, convenient, and reliable applications online. Otherwise, you risk losing your coins or giving them to scammers.

What wallet can you recommend instead of Freewallet?
We do not make such recommendations. Our goal is not to advertise any application. All we want is to warn you that Freewallet is a scam.
When selecting a cryptocurrency wallet, it's crucial to be vigilant for certain red flags that might indicate potential risks or scams. Here are some key warning signs to watch out for:

•   Lack of Transparency: If a wallet provider lacks transparency about its team, company registration, or the technology behind its wallet, it could be a red flag. Reputable wallet providers usually provide detailed information about their team, company background, and technology infrastructure.
•   Unverified or Poorly Reviewed: Before trusting a wallet provider, check for reviews from multiple sources and ensure that the wallet has been vetted by reputable cryptocurrency communities. Be cautious if the wallet has few reviews or if the reviews seem overly positive or artificially generated.
•   Unresponsive Customer Support: Difficulty contacting customer support or receiving timely responses to inquiries can be a warning sign. A reputable wallet provider should offer responsive customer support to address any concerns or issues promptly.
•   Negative Reputation or Scam Reports: Research the reputation of the wallet provider by checking online forums, social media platforms, and cryptocurrency news websites for any reported scams, hacks, or unresolved complaints. Multiple negative reports or warnings from reputable sources should raise concerns.

By all these criteria, Freewallet cannot be considered the least bit safe. So never use this app!

We keep collecting stories of those people, whose assets were blocked by Freewallet administration. Any person may contact us via email [email protected] and get our help.

Recently, I received notification from Freewallet that my account has been suspended pending Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) verification. However, upon further investigation, I suspect that this request may be illegal and indicative of fraudulent activity by the administration.
A user who lost almost $2000 due to Freewallet contacted us with this text. The victim’s account was frozen under the pretext of the need to carry out KYC/AML procedures.
But the client quickly realized that it is a case of Freewallet KYC scam:
•   Administration blcocks wallet and asks to pass verification.
•   During this process Freewallet ignores victims requests and declines documents.
•   Finally victims of Freewallet fraud lose their assets.

Freewallet is a total scam

Many customers send us emails long after their accounts were blocked. This is not a good idea. If you got the “KYC/AML notification”, dont waste any time.
Freewallet scam is very dangerous, because owners of this app hide the facts of their fraud. Formally, the administration acts within the framework of its own established rules. That is, the Freewallet org website directly states the right of owners to block any wallet for an unlimited period and demand any documents. In such a situation, it is difficult to prove fraud. You definitely need the help of a lawyer.

[email protected]

Write to this address and we will:
•   Help you to collect and record evidence of fraud. In particular, our lawyer will assess the availability of correspondence, screenshots, give advice on how to get them if you did not have time to do so.
•   We will help you draw up a legally competent appeal to the police, court or prosecutor’s office to initiate a criminal case and return assets.
•   If necessary, we will provide informational support and make sure that as many people as possible know about each negative review.
We do not provide any paid services and do not collect private information (passwords, wallet addresses, etc.). Our goal is to help Freewallet scam victims.

Our project Stop Freewallet Fraud was created to help victims of fraudsters get their assets back. But our second goal is to make the Freewallet scam app disappear forever. We will need your help with this!
Please take 10 minutes to send complaints about the actions of the Freewallet administration. Send abuses to NameCheap, Cloudflare, AppStore and sign our petition.
Full instructions are available at this link - https://medium.com/@freewalletpenipuan/help-us-stop-freewallet-scammers-8a19bd126742

If you lost money because of Freewallet scam, write your story in a few sentences. Find out the amount that the scammers stole from you. Add this to your abuse and write that you demand that the Freewallet org service be blocked.
If you yourself have not lost assets, but sympathize with the victims, simply sign our petition or send a short letter to NameCheap or Cloudflare calling for the removal of the scammer’s application.

New investigations into Freewallet org are beginning in many countries. Previously, we wrote about appeals from victims from Thailand, Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Netherlands, and Romania. Today a resident of Spain contacted us. A huge amount of money was stolen from the user, almost 50,000 euros.

The victim had been using Freewallet since 2018. At first, the application really worked and even seemed convenient. By April 2024, the user’s balance was about 55,000 euros. But as soon as the victim tried to withdraw part of his savings, the account was immediately frozen!

Look at the transaction history. The client has been using Freewallet for a long time. There was no suspicious activity. And yet, the victim was blocked from withdrawing.
Our lawyers helped draw up a crime report, which was submitted to Spanish law enforcement officers. We are confident that an investigation into Freewallet will soon be launched in another country.

We have started a new round of the fight against Freewallet. Those affected by scammers send abuses to Cloudflare. This service helps scammers hide their real IP addresses. We have a guess who is the real hosting provider for Freewallet. But to confirm them, you need to get Cloudflare to deny service to Freewallet.org

According to Art. 7 of Cloudflare Terms of Use, You may not to use the Websites or Online Services in any way that violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation (including, without limitation, any laws regarding the export of data or software to and from the US or other countries). Cloudflare retains the right (but not the obligation) to block content from its Distributed Web Gateway that Cloudflare determines (in its sole discretion) to be illegal, harmful, or in violation of these Terms.
We are convinced that the administration of the Freewallet.org website is engaged in fraud, namely, by deception, it deprives clients of the opportunity to withdraw assets, and subsequently steals their savings. At your request, we are ready to provide a huge collection of evidence, including links to complaints from victims, screenshots of correspondence and other facts indicating deliberate deception of users.
This appeal was sent in an official letter to the moderators of CloudFlare Inc on behalf of our organization Stop Freewallet Fraud.

At the same time, other victims also began sending complaints to the email addresses of the Cloudflare service. They tell their stories and demand that Freewallet be banned.

Reputation, Scams & Phishing / Alvin Hagg: swindler and deceiver!
« on: April 08, 2024, 10:23:05 PM »

Freewallet is an app, created by scammers. As soon as customer deposits coins to his crypto wallet, administration blocks users account. According to our data, hundreds of clients have already become victims of the Freewallet scam. The total amount of damage is in the millions. Who is behind this grandiose scam? Alvin Hagg is a liar and a swindler. He may not be the only one, but he is one of the main defendants in the Freewallet fraudulent project.

Alvin Hagg is a scammer

The official resources of Freewallet org indicate that the project manager is Estonian citizen Alvin Hagg. We decided to conduct an investigation to find out more about this man. But they immediately found out that he carefully hides any details about himself. In open sources there is no information about his education and previous work experience, no contacts, no photographs. This further suggests that Hagg is deliberately committing fraud. If he were a law-abiding entrepreneur and programmer, would he hide his social media profiles and other information about himself?
However, attempts to hide information about oneself do not contribute to a positive impact on Hagg’s personal reputation. See what customers who have suffered from Freewallet’s actions say about it.

Beware of Alvin Hagg CEO of Freewallet.org who is scamming People with the help of Hanna Hagg,
This comment was left by one of the victims back in 2018. The topic was created on the Bitcointalk forum, where you can find dozens of accusations against Freewallet. Alvin Hagg is a lier and scammer. This is how clients characterize the nominal project manager.
