The XiWATT Collective Energy platform (XiCE) is an online ethereum-based solution which provides an avenue for communities, individuals, and private investors to launch and organize green energy projects.

A green energy project is proposed on the XiCE platform. This project can range from being a small solar farm for a local co-op to a large scale wind farm intended for investment purposes.

The Sector is then listed on the XiCE platform and opened for crowdfunding.

Contributors will be able to fund the Sector through standard currency (e.g. USD) and cryptocurrencies (e.g. ETH, BTC).

Once the Sector meets funding, a unique token will be minted to represent the Sector. These tokens are distributed to the contributors who become members of the Sector.

The Sector is constructed and begins to produce electricity which is sold to the grid.

As electricity is sold, NRG tokens are created and distributed to the members of the Sector.

 
Step 8: Redeem NRG Tokens


Members can redeem these NRG tokens to pay their energy bills (these member are classified as energy subscribers). Members that are accredited investors can also redeem NRG tokens for profits.
