Yes you are right about holding but in my opinion we will not see any bull end of this year.I think it can be 2019 Q4. I believe market still in little bit bear and little bir recovery phase. Maybe we can see last huge dump to 5k. I can not predict anything but because of that bear market i am always thinking bad about crypto now.

Yes I think hold is the best way to keep the value and reduce the loss. But I prefer short term and trading.
