This is one of the most common crypto scam methods. In address poisoning, the scammer creates an address that is similar to the victim's address. Not fully similar, but the first and last strings of the address. And if one isn't careful enough, he or she will lose everything. I don't know how exactly poisoning works or is made, but it's really frightening. To be honest, nobody memorizes their full address or can. In short it's hard. It isn't something memorisable. For me, I can only memorize last strings, maybe 5 characters, but no more than that.

Note: If I were sending $71 million worth of assets, I would definitely check every character one by one. No way I'm trusting copy paste or autofill option!...

Many thanks to UniJoin for everything you have done for our community. You did a lot ; by publishing great articles about online privacy and cryptos, by giving users the opportunity to coinjoin their coins through an honnest service, or when you sponsored events. Thank you and good luck with your futures projects!
What good do the cards do when their service is presumably dead? Do you think UniJoin will be back? Or they are gone for good. Either way, it's sad to see so many services related to crypto is going down.  :'( :'(

It at least would've been better if they posted a shutdown notice like LocalMonero did yesterday, so that people have time to get out.
When did that happen? :'( Wow! One by one, every service related to privacy and anonymity is either taken down or forced to shut down! What is happening to this world. I used their service a couple of times, and it's really sad that they are closing.

A similar thing happens with the Unijoin mixer. The site is unavailable, as are other channels of communication. The manager just closed the campaign and removed the links to their services because he has no contact with the team.
Everything is removed, the sites, the bot, the channel, the twitter account, the spreadsheet of Unijoin campaign, everything. There is no trace of Unijoin anywhere. Things escalated fast after Sinbad. I'm not sure but do you think the recent events are all connected and might have caused this downfall? For example, wasabi wallet, samurai wallet, Tumbler and now Unijoin? One by one, every service is falling apart! :'(

The campaign is currently suspended / Remove signatures and avatars.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work on your campaign. I hope I can work for you again. And lastly, you are a great campaign manager, icopress.

I'll be keeping the signature for 1 day and then remove it.

Meme Coins / Re: Notcoin MеМ Coins ( NOT )
« on: May 04, 2024, 07:26:10 PM »
I actually wrote this topic not for those who collected coins for free, but mostly for those who are involved in investments because NOT is a very good investment, all my friends, if possible, bought this token on the premarket, including me, too, bought it, I have it of course it’s a lot, but I decided that I’ll buy it a little more while there is such an opportunity to earn good money. So you, as investors, will do the right analytics and perhaps understand that NOT is a very good investment

If the developers of NOTcoin can implement what they previously announced, then I agree that NOTcoin could be a profitable investment in the long run. However, I would expect that there will be a massive dump in the first days after listing, as there will surely be a huge number of those who will want to sell their free tokens.
There is some good news from the NOTcoin developer who has started deploying tokens so that they can be immediately distributed and sold. Luckily for those airdrop participants who are still patiently waiting for NOTCoin's development. For a dump to occur during distribution on the first day is normal because many airdrop participants are sure to sell.
I am one of the airdrop participants. But with the amount of NOTcoins I have, I doubt it will be worth any penny after the deployment. When I joined, it was too late. Wish I had joined early.  Just after joining, the mining phase ended. Let's see how much it gets listed at. I'm also expecting a huge dump. ;)

I don't know what could be happening, but I tried to visit the Tumbler Mixer onion website and I get the following error:

Quote
Details: 0xF0 — The requested onion service descriptor can't be found on the hashring and therefore the service is not reachable by the client.

The website hosted on Clearnet does not load either, but it doesn't provide details or a specific error number.

I'm not trying to create panic or alarm anyone, but is it possible that they have shut down the service (even temporarily) for some reason?.
Downtimes are normal, but for this long? We get it, sometimes people shut down their servers for maintenance, but they should at least give us some kind of update regarding this. Tumbler is totally ghosting us, even the campaign manager who is working for their promotion, doesn't know anything. Some reasons to panic.

I tried to access Tumbler when dkbit98 raised this concern. It's still inaccessible from my side. Both sites are showing "ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED".

Here is what i usually quote from different source to here or bitcointalk so can use either for both
It will look like a normal quote from here but only will show after you click or hover the anchor text.

Once again, thanks for another solution, PX-Z. So far, you guys have given me four solutions to quote from one forum to another. And since my issue is now resolved, I'll be locking the thread now to avoid spamming.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Again, Don't Ignore Security
« on: May 03, 2024, 08:08:53 PM »
I just saw one of the campaign managers getting scammed in telegram, so it's better to be suspicious to all received messages, and limit the use of Telegram and similar messangers.
100% agree, the number of scammers in Telegram is simply unbelievable, i used to think that only newbies are vulnerable to scam attempts on that platform, but every now and then we see 'older' members also falling victim to scammers there.

For people who use Telegram, once you get an unsolicited message, treat it immediately as a scam until you prove it isn't. Bitcoiners have to do better to protect their coins from scammers.
Telegram is considered scammers heaven. It's filled with so many spammers, scammers, and illegal stuff that one cannot imagine. For example, if you join a crypto based telegram channel and post something like you wanna buy or sell your coins, you will instantly get several PMs from unknown users. At first, it may seem like they are good people who simply wanna buy/sell but no! All of them are scammers, and if you ignore them long enough, you'll see their accounts were deleted and don't exist anymore. There were many times I was offered jobs, airdrops etc.

There was even a time when some unknown guy gave me a screenshot of his PC showing his exchanges, passphrase, Gmail accounts, and passwords. I knew they were all baits to lure me into logging and probably losing all of my funds. Just take a look, lol.... :P

I don't care about airdrops and I'm jsut writing this to warn you guys of similar phishing attempts I have received in my mailbox.
Lol, I can't even remember the last time I actually checked my mail. Gmail is the most rarely used app on my phone. It's filled with thousands of emails, but I'm so lazy that I never checked them. The only time I use it is when I need OTP or email confirmation. So I'm kinda safe from these kind of scams.  :)

This is another way you can use,
Using the URL and then adding the quote, the text itself would direct you to the link if you clicked it.

Another factor to weigh-in is the reputation of both the Campaign Manager and the Campaign itself.…).
This one looks kind of messy because of the underline format. :(

Or this, you don't need to add the link inside the quoted text, it can be clicked beside the "quote" and will direct you to the source.
Another factor to weigh-in is the reputation of both the Campaign Manager and the Campaign itself. A Campaign Manager with a track of well managed campaigns could be an important plus to consider, and checking this out may lead to better chances that the campaign does not eventually turn out to be a fiasco in terms of compromised crypto revenue.
This one looks ok, I might try it. ::)

But among all the solutions, I liked this one, given by SamReomo, short simple and clean. Just included the source inside the quotation. ;)
