What are the solutions to solve these problems associated with bad government and poor economic conditions?
Shear your ideas and opinions  ...

Bad government ridicule the economy but let me ask again, who are the government? Aren't we the government? It is you and I that forms the government but any time the president and governors doesn't do something in accordance to the way we like, we attack them when the individuals are also corrupt in their own ways.

We blame the government over little things hit we are the first to start corruption under our small offices, we used privilege of our offices not to follow due protocols, used influence to break laws and many things that can lead us to jail but we blame the government all the time forgetting that we are also part of the government.

+ !

It's nice to hear such words !
When more than half of the people will realize that the power is us, corruption is also us, and that we not only choose the power, but also have the right to demand the fulfillment of the goals and election promises. At the same time not to support populists, not to trust those who have already lost trust and deceived, not to believe liars, totalitarian rulers, religious fanatics, corruptors,....  So as not to complain to everyone around you "I have a bad government in my country" :)

3. Vitalik also mentioned the risks associated with quantum computers - in order to protect the network from unauthorized access, a "recovery hardfork" can be performed. The network is ready for the upgrade.
I don't like this idea, since it reminds me of DAO which leads to hard fork. If he want avoid risk associated with quantum computers, IMO he should've suggest switching to quantum-resistant cryptography as high priority.
I never saw any professional really considering quantum computer a serious threat.

Yes, but i recall few of them begin advising using quantum-resistant cryptography for new stuff/thing.

I believe cryptography will just evolve, like you said, "quantum-resistant cryptography" is coming (maybe already even exists). Basically all internet and the banking system relies on cryptography.

It's already exist and NIST plan to standardize few of them[1]. But it'll took many years before it's commonly used.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Do you need to spend to earn?
« Last post by bayu7adi on Today at 10:34:19 AM »
Just some few years ago, crypto was a fringe niche that people barely noticed but the growth of the community has been really remarkable. Innovations like spending crypto is something I see as long overdue coz the hassle of swapping and P2P can sometimes feel unnecessary... Like all those times the P2P merchant delays the payment and your heart beats just a little faster until the funds get to your account and ready for spending...

Recently I came across a crypto card by BlackCard and it got me thinking of possibilities. The biggest take away for me was it's offering of up to 13% CashBack. While I'm exited with cashbacks like this my skeptism is if you always need to spend before you get benefits? Nevertheless though, are there similar cards like these?
In the context of a credit card with 13% cashback that you mean, I'm still not sure if that's a benefit or not, it could be that it's just a normal promotional or marketing tool aimed at attracting customers, meaning you are the product of that marketing. We all know that companies will not always bear losses to provide subsidies to their customers, meaning that the cashback will disappear at any time.

However, if the concept of spending money first to make a profit means buying at a low price, then selling at a high price, that is a good strategy for maximizing profits.

Economics , Sociology & Politics / Re: Why do we pay taxes?
« Last post by DrBeer on Today at 10:33:49 AM »
Well yeah that is what President Bukele was saying it's an illusion thing. But for me tax is good if implemented fairly and is done in due process. Taxes has been here since the old days so there is no way we are going to evade on it unless you are Robert Kiyosaki. 😅✌️

Anyone can evade taxes but you will be considered as a criminal if you do.

While the term you should be using is avoid taxes and that's what every rich person is doing to stack their earned money for themselves which is only possible for the rich people who make money in other forms than getting paid via salary.

This is why experts says the system is rigged cause it's made in the favor of rich people.

As a tax payer (as an individual and as a businessman), I will add for myself:
- There are criminal schemes of income concealment and as a consequence - crimes in the economic sphere - non-payment of taxes. This is a crime.
- There is a concept of tax optimization. This is a legal way to reduce tax pressure on business. Conditionally speaking, for example, I believe that up to 10% of tax, a person will pay almost voluntarily and few people will try to cheat the fiscal service. At 50% tax - business will look for ways to optimize. This is normal, because high taxes are a heavy burden for both people and businesses. Optimization is limited by the legal framework, and therefore does not lead to violation of the law

Economics , Sociology & Politics / Re: Cost of living
« Last post by DrBeer on Today at 10:28:58 AM »
....
Thank you !
I would also add - the problem with the modern world is that most people try to look for "convenient" explanations for what is happening, afraid to recognize reality, to admit their guilt, afraid to start doing what really needs to be done.

And so they "solve problems" that are not the real cause of what is happening..... I hope the world will change !
Exactly instead of criticizing I think it is better to help the government even in a simple but good deeds to atleast do our part as a citizen because I know it was just a small thing but it will contribute to the growth of our economy and may also improve our cost of living.

Of course - we all have obligations, civic obligations. And it is not only to demand something from the government/authority, but also to do something ourselves. Or not to do - not to do bad deeds, not to hide taxes, not to cover criminals, not to contribute to corruption....

There is a nuance - if the government/authority's only goal is their own enrichment, it is definitely not worth helping them :)

A little bitcoin and also altcoins. But at the same time, respecting risk management. I try not to overestimate risks and keep assets for the long term. Halving has happened and the commissions on the bitcoin network are absolutely not happy.  ;D

P.S. If you are concerned about commissions - everything passes, a few weeks and we will see 2-5 dollars for 1 transaction. Do not rush to make hasty actions.  ::)

Yes, there's no need to rush, the increase will definitely come for Bitcoin and Altcoins,  everything needs a process, there's no need to play guessing because the increase will definitely come but not soon.

Here in my place vote buying starts from $50-$200 for mayors and councilors which makes things gets worst if some nonsense politicians will win a slot in the local government as you have said it's a few days of glory just because of the money but it will take more years to suffer from the effect of that wrong doing.

Money politics is not a novel occurrence in the political realm.
However, it appears to be a topic that is largely overlooked.
The lack of public awareness regarding the practice of money politics and the associated risks is a significant contributing factor to the proliferation of money politics.
Efforts to eradicate money politics are not straightforward, requiring a lengthy and complex process.
Incorporating money politics content into educational curricula represents a culturally effective long-term strategy.
In the short term, active voter participation in monitoring election participants can minimize money politics.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: What tokens are trending?
« Last post by bayu7adi on Today at 10:21:07 AM »
Shouldn't we choose tokens that are not yet trending, and hold when the trending arrives? Logically, if the token is trending now, there is a big possibility that its bullish period will soon come to an end... and after that there will be a moment of correction or even bearishness. So investing in tokens that are already popular or trending will likely only increase investment risk, because it's too late to catch the moment.
