There are alot of vantage points you can take. We are just looking for unique ways to introduce this currency to people in the crypto world or for new people looking into bitcoin technology itself.

What is BitcoinToken?

In short, it is a digital payment currency. We should also mention that it is an open-source, de-centralized and secure currency. Then you might rightfully be wondering – how is it decentralized? Or safe? But to understand why it is any of those things, and why that might be of interest to you, the investor – we should take a step back in the past, to times when the idea of BitcoinToken first began:

While the biggest cryptocurrency craze so far was happening in the fall of 2017, some of us saw the existing currencies as a new type of investment asset and got into it. And that's what remains mostly discussed on the news platforms. But digging a bit deeper under the surface, we find an underlying theme going back to the financial crisis of 2008 - suggesting that the todays financial system needed to change and is ready for new ideas; which is exactly why the cryptocurrency topic remains controversial in the eyes of the mainstream media and general population to this day.

And now that we see the digital currency community growing faster and faster world-wide, we need to ask ourselves the question - what do we want to achieve from it? While there are different reasons people get into the digital currencies, there is still a common goal from 2008 yet to be attained - creating a truly decentralized type of financial system which will allow the community, the people, the complete control over their assets and financial market.

Then you might ask - what's the whole point of having another "Bitcoin" currency out there, when the Bitcoin already has done that. Let's just say this - what was the main goal of digital currency - having a decentralized financial platform; is now the biggest obstacle to most of them out there. With some research you might notice that 1000 wallets own 40% of all the Bitcoin in the world. And if a few of these owners sold all their Bitcoin assets, it would affect the rest of the market, which in its own ruins the idea of a global decentralized currency.

Well, that's exactly what the BitcoinToken community is hoping to change.

Besides creating a 10.000.000.000 supply of tokens, which will first of all make the transactions of this ERC20-compliat coin much faster than the Bitcoins, the whole coin supply will be airdropped during the first release period. Only during this month, February 2018, 1 billion tokens are shared amongst the community; through regular airdrops and competitions. That means that all the tokens will be spread evenly, and with developers being all volunteers taking minimal bounties - BitcoinToken has a plan to become a truly decentralized, community-run form of cryptocurrency.

If we have all the tokens in the hands of the community, then it is truly the type of digital currency that Bitcoin was originally intended to become.  There are many tokens out there fighting for their share of the market, and only a few of them even have the courage to tackle the obstacle of decentralization - which is the only way to a truly fair financial system. Having good technical capabilities shouldn't be marginalized either. That is why BitcoinToken uses only peer to peer, secure exchanges; on the fast and stable Ethereum network. 

In the future, as the market grows, we will see big changes coming so you could be wondering -  what's next? 

BitcoinTokens next big goal is to gain mass-adoption of the use of digital currency in real-life. It would make BitcoinToken currency available and beneficial to everyone, from individuals sharing money, to local businesses receiving payments. It's not planning to compete with Bitcoin, only to make its own faster, more decentralized form of digital payment. 

2017 was a big year for the whole crypto world, and we are yet to see what the year of 2018 will bring. But one thing is for sure - there are huge changes coming, and with being a strong open-source and community-driven platform; BitcoinToken will have its own spot to shine on the stage.
