Ethereum is a threat to bitcoin? Yes it is. We all know that Ethereum was created by a Russian programmer on 2013, and it was launched on 2015. After 3 years it is next to bitcoin in terms of popularity and value.

Let me show you some NBA perspective on this, bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency right? same as LeBron as the king of NBA. But here comes Ethereum the prince of cryptocurrency just like Ben Simmons as the prince of the NBA. The prince will dethrone the king on the eastern conference finals same as Ethereum that will dethrone bitcoin in the next couple of years. Whether we like it or not the king will reach its limit. Kalau Ethereum menjadi ancaman buat bitcoin bisa saja terjadi tapi kalau saya lihat untuk saat ini kan yang sebagai raja bitcoin terus kira - kira kapan Ethereum bisa menggulingkan bitcoin?

Of course Ethereum has a big threat to Bitcoin because it's price value keeps on rising.This could dethrone Bitcoin if the price value of Bitcoin keeps on falling.

Although it’s possible that ethereum can dethrone Bitcoin, the father of all cryptos, I don’t see that happening any moment soon.

I have made very valid points but for me, I don't see ethereum as a threat to bitcoin.

Ethereum is next to bitcoin we can't deny it but I think ethereum won't dethrone bitcoin. In fact, it will remain as the number two in crypto. If possible to dethrone bitcoin by ethereum it should take more years before it happens.

I think it would be better to compare it to competing products like coke and pepsi.  Neither of them are worried about dethroning anyone, they both make massive amounts of money and don't really care about who is on top.  It ceases to matter at a certain point.  Ethereum and Bitcoin are different products that do different things in a different way.  They don't have to dethrone each other.

Oh please let's not bring this arguement in a whole new dimension because i don't really see the potential with which ethereum will use to overtake bitcoin. Last year's price of ethereum was just a bubble and it is high time you guys accepted this faith. Bitcoin is King shall always be.

I have the same thinking as you, bitcoin is more significant is because it is the first crypto and many news talk about bitcoin and the general public does not know about this coin "ethereum". If more people get to know ethereum and what advantages it is able to give them bitcoin will definitely lose its supporters when the time come.

I never think ethereum is a threat for bitcoin. If we base on the current market situation, the price of ethereum is far from btc, though ETH has taken the second place among all crypto. If the price of bitcoin will go down to its lowest level which is 1K$, then I would say ETH has a great chance to dethrone the King of all crypto.

I like how the OP present the idea of comparing bitcoin and ethereum by using the example of the NBA  players LeBron and Simmons. But the problem prince is not always has the power to manage or I.mean worthy to become the king that is why there were recorded situation that some princes became not the successors of their kings.

Even ethereum is a threat to bitcoin it will remain as next to it. We cannot change the history and reality that as for now bitcoin cannot be overtaken by any altcoins. Maybe in the future once bitcoin went to weaker management.

Ethereum's current popularity, this Coin may be a threat to Bitcoin in the future. but in my opinion, Bitcoin is a coin that is too tough to beat, it takes a long time and a struggle for Ethereum to beat Bitcoin.

May be for some people they think ethereum is a threat to bitcoin but for me i don't believe because they are far behind to bitcoin.

I am very confident that in long term ethereum will give a big blow to bitcoin, bitcoin is able to go strong most probably is the fact that bitcoin is the pioneer in crypto and ethereum is not.

I think there is great probability that ethereum will compete to bitcoin in terms of value and demands in the future. But to tell exactly when is hard to predict because the gap of ethereum and bitcoin as of today is very far in terms of its value. But this is possible to happen that ethereum will level up to bitcoin maybe in the long future.

Yes it doesn't really matter on the both sides they have really a different path and I believe that eth is only next to bitcoin. Bitcoin is really the first coin in terms of popularity and next is the etherium I believe wth is not a treat to bitcoin alt all.

For me it's not a threat for bitcoin but really alternative for bitcoin.Imagine a big sullort of ethereum amd altcoins can expand the bitcoin and crypto currency.

I still doubt about this mate. I support the fact that ethereum is good choice to make investment bit a threat to bitcoin I don't think so. Ethereum is still on the process of strengthening itself with regards to bitcoin.

ETHEREUM is the best coin in cryptomarket and it is most reliable platform many investors believe on ethereum . But Bitcoin is number one high valuable crypto and profitable coin . Bitcoin is still dominant in cryptomarket I don't think ethereum a threat to Bitcoin.

I did not consider Ethereum as a treat to bitcoin because looking at the market today the value of ethereum is very far behind compare to bitcoin and even its market cap and popularity bitcoin is still the supreme among two coins.

I think it might be better to examine it to competing merchandise like coke and pepsi.  Neither of them are worried about dethroning every person, they both make large amounts of cash and do not clearly care approximately who's on top.  It ceases to remember at a positive point.  Ethereum and Bitcoin are special merchandise that do different things in a one-of-a-kind way.  They don't have to dethrone every different.

I am still skeptical about the development of Ethereum. I think this will be a new thing if Ethereum is indeed a threat to Bitcoin. I think bitcoin is still quite strong and still far from Ethereum. so in my opinion there is still no threat at all from Bitcoin from Ethereum for now

I don't think that way because if Ethereum is a real threat to Bitcoin it will surely not depend on Bitcoin's value but as we

For now, I see ripple is a threat to bitcoin. Ethereum is struggling to rise now. So I think Ripple is more potential than ethereum.

I disagree that etheruem is a threat to Bitcoin .
I do know that many altcoins are distributed.on the etheruem blockchain and so when you critical analyze it, you will come to realize that etheruem brings more value to the blockchain technology than Bitcoin.

There is a big between the two subjects in the analogy. First bitcoin do not wear out like how our physical body does. Second, cryptocurrency can become relevant and used by many if it is already known or popular.  So for me physical limitations is not what really matters, it is the usage that keeps a coin on top. So if ethereum succeeds then it could remove bitcoin from the top but as of now this whole idea is quite very far from happening.
