Bitcoin is the crypto currency which is the top among all crypto currencies and many are trying to compare their token with btc just to become easily recognizable to many investors. Truly btc is the king of crypto, but what if its reign will crash in the future? Will eth can take over the place of btc if there are other cryptos that is more than with eth like bitcoincash?

This can never be snr. Considering how ETH is dropping to the pit I dont think it can ever surpass btc with its current price. Btc still remains the mother coin

Just in case it will happen I guess ethereum is ready to accept the new opportunity to lead the crypto world. In other side I doubt that it happen coz bitcoin is unstoppable and becoming more stronger.

I also have the same opinion as you. Although ETH has a rapid progress and popular, it's not enough to be able to shift the position of the BTC currently, takes time and travel is a fairly time-consuming look like.

This may well be. Cryptocurrency is developing very quickly, and the laws of the market are the same for all cryptocurrencies. Therefore, if bitcoin does not improve, it is only logical that a more advanced cryptocurrency will take the place of the cryptocurrency leader. However, I think that there will be several leaders at once and there will be no more rigid price dominance after bitcoin.

Etherum is not ready to take the place of bitcoin, not anytime soon. The market volume indeed increased for etherum but bitcoin also increased
In my own opinion, etherum should focus on reducing the dominance of bitcoin on altcoins, that way it will rise tremendously in market cap

Bitcoin is the King of crypto currency, ethereum is teh second of Crypto currency. I think ethereum has potential to compete with bitcoin at the coming future. I see ethereum 2.0 is very potential and more popular now. Let's see the progress at the coming year.

I think It is possible, ethereum has potential to take over the place of bitcoin. Both are more popular and bigger community than other coin. Bitcoin is still superior, ethereum is potential.
Time will tell, which be the best at the next three years again.

Most of the big players invest in Bitcoin and it is easiest for these investors to pump the price of Bitcoin, and this has been done for 10 years and if these big players will change their minds at some point to invest and pump not only Bitcoin, then these investors can start pump Ethereum or another cryptocurrency and then the chosen cryptocurrency by these big players will be able to overtake Bitcoin.

i am not thinking that eth over take bitcoin.because bitcoin is the father of cryptocurrency & not anyone able to beat bitcoin. eth just following his 2nd position in cmc market but its means not over take bitcoin.almost btc price touched 12k$ & eth just 400$, thats the different between number one & number two.

I don't think about it. Because I see the bitcoin marketcap is largest. It is really difficult ethereum or other crypto can beat bitcoin.
Everything can be happen. But by seeing the market condition now, I think Bitcoin is still the best and biggest community.

There will be a possibility that ethereum will overtake bitcoin in market capitalization, because of all altcoins only ethereum is able to develop and be accepted by the public and the exchange,
the point is that almost all exchanges have ETH pairs, this is one proof that ethereum has quality as well as trustworthiness.

In case of BTC, i don't believe ETH or Bitcoincash will take over BTC. Bitcoin's market capital is more than 216 Billions now which is nearly 57% of the total coinmarketcap. Including ETH, all crypto can change the percentage from 57% to under 50%. If Bitcoin falls, altcoins will also fall so there is no chance of take over the place of BTC.

I don't think ethereum will be overtake bitcoin. Bitcoin is maintain its rank, It always at the top Crypto currency and the biggest community. Ethereum is very potential coin but not enough to beat bitcoin. Bitcoin is highest demand at the Crypto market.

;D ;D i could not understand how they compare to BTC with another altcoins? where BTC cover 65% of market and BTC also an unique coin for crypto world. So no body can compare with BTC and no altcoins also. If you see the market we will get the result that the jumping of BTC and another altcoin like ETH is far difference. so stay connected to BTC and be a gainer.

I think no, I don't believe Ethereum will take over the place of bitcoin. Bitcoin is pioneer school f Crypto currency and biggest community. Bitcoin is also biggest supply. I still believe bitcoin will maintain its position , bitcoin always number one.

Right after this correction, surely people will start buying cryptos again and there is going to be another possible mini bullrun. Hope they are right for I am holding on to my tiny stash.

Do not worry mate. Ethereum 2.0 could change the present condition of ETH price. What is happening could be part of correction. After, possible the price will increase. Just hold your Ethereum it is potential and will not become unvalued coin.

yes mae , bitcoin.is unstoppable & king of all cryptocurrency. so also dont think eth over take place of btc. every currency depend on bitcoin price & it will be continue. eth also a great currency, they are launching many seytem for update their project. recently we can see that eth version 2.0 will be coming. but at the end of the day btc is king.

Bitcoin will not collapse. Cryptocurrency was built not on weak foundation rather in strong foundation that can bear the high pressure of government and economic areas what ever the possible scenarios.

Bitcoin can collapse in price and in the level of capitalization if it does not meet the expectations of cryptocurrency market participants for its further price growth for a long time. If the capitalization of bitcoin falls so much that it ceases to exert price dominance on other types of cryptocurrencies, it is most likely that no one will be able to take its place. No other cryptocurrency after Bitcoin will have such a high level of capitalization. Most likely, there will be several leaders, which means that there will no longer be such rigid domination. I don't think it will be bad. Perhaps it is at this time that the cryptocurrency market will be able to fully develop.

I will assume and emphasize to all my friends in this Forum that Ethereum will never surpass Bitcoin.
Ethereum is indeed superior in the community but for the total financial circulation Bitcoin is still the main one. I chose and bet on Bitcoin if Ethereum will never beat Bitcoin.

Just let Bitcoin lead for now. You see, Ethereum is widely use by other projects because of the Decentralized Smart Contract features that the Ethereum Blockchain possess and not possible with Bitcoin. So Ethereum is always in demand just like Bitcoin because of this. When Eth 2.0 can help lower the gas fees, Ethereum will dominance will be much higher than today. Trying to take the place of Bitcoin is not relevant for now, let Ethereum Blockchain with its smart contracts help other crypto projects to build, grow and this will be the legacý and role that for me is much important than trying to fight for the spot as king of cryptocurrency. Ethereum is very much relevant and already established coin even with the so called "Ehereum Killers" that intends to overthrow Eth.

Ethereum has potential to overtake bitcoin at the coming future, But It will take along time again. Bitcoin cash is also very potential, But Ethereum is more popular than bitcoin cash.
Ethereum is smart contract platform and has integrated to many tokens project. It is a good thing.
But we must know, bitcoin is still the biggest community and always more popular than other crypto.

Ethereum is doing their part to make there service updated and more useful to the community but this doesn't hold the possibility that it's enough to believe ethereum with regards of catching the fallen position if your assumption will happen. I believe if that bad fate will come to btc I believe there will be next one that will take the popularity that bitcoin owned once.

At present ether price is approximate $368 and bitcoin price is near about 11,480. Here is a big difference with the price so how can it be possible for ether to compare with bitcoin. I think it is not possible in this year to take over btc.

Especially when you consider that Bitcoin will not solve the problem of its scaling in any way and therefore has become the slowest of all cryptocurrencies. And the laws of the market cannot be abolished. They will clearly work disregarding titles and past merits. Therefore, as long as investors hope for its continued price growth, it will be appreciated. What will happen next, one can only guess.

I don't believe It will happen mate, Bitcoin is most popular and biggest community. You can see the market cap of bitcoin, until today no coin can overtake bitcoin. So,many prediction about coin will be the next bitcoin, But I don't believe It will happen.

I think it is not possible for Ethereum to beat with bitcoin. This is a large distance between the two though both are in good positions but i prefer bitcoin and i can firmly say that it would not be possible.

In my opinion, Its cant be happen now or in the future etherium will replace Bitcoin position because both coins has different function in cryptocurrency world. Even now bitcoin if you notice btc still on the top and gradually make huge its price by every year pass by.
