I think in terms of transaction processing to be confirmed Litecoin can compete with bitcoin considering that it has a maximum of 2.5 minutes per transaction compare to bitcoin which the maximum transaction will last upto 10 minutes in which litecoin speed leading 4times than bitcoin.
