I noticed that I received some kind of airdrops on a Polygon address, although I'm not sure when I applied. It doesn't matter.

Can someone specifically explain what the purpose of these tokens is and why someone does this at all?
I have no intention of dealing with that token, but I see that it was sent to many addresses, I believe that someone will think that they can get something out of there.

The address from which it was sent is labelled as Fake_Phishing3312

If it's a type of scam, how is it realized?

News related to Crypto / Samourai Wallet seized and founders arrested
« on: April 25, 2024, 12:59:05 PM »
For those who haven't seen it
The FEDs are again in action against services that provide privacy, of course, all under the auspices of the fight against money laundering.

A question for the forum moderators, and maybe others too if they have a good suggestion.
I would like to open a discussion about some specific crypto services, I would like to hear other opinions and experiences, but I don't see where would be the most appropriate place for that.

I wouldn't say that they belong to the Technical board, but all other sections deal with a general discussion and are almost crowded with endless topics, What is expected from the bull run, halving, will Bitcoin reach the price of xx...

The two closest boards have a description
- Cryptocurrency discussions - Altcoins & Cryptocurrencies general discussion -no speculations & no ANN
- Bitcoin Forum - Talk about bitcoin BTC - Ecosystem. News, community, mining, technical, etc...

For example, where is it appropriate to start a topic from a specific service from the "ad network" or "payment gateway" zone?

I want to spread the word about the Zenland escrow platform. I was recently accepted by them as an authorized escrow agent, as I announced earlier in the thread:

🔥[ANN]ZenLand - Web3 Escrow & Marketplace 🔥🔥🔥 Arbitrage 🔥

So, what is this?
I need three users who will test the platform together with me, as a trade simulation where the Zenland platform is used as an escrow service and I as an agent.

in short:
> Connect Metamask to the Zenland app (using the BSC network)
> Create a new contract and Invite @examplens as an arbitrage agent   ::)
> Ask @examplens if you do not understand something  ???
> Write feedback on this forum (ANN), and on @examplens agent page
> Confirm when you finished and take your money  8)

What is this task?
Accepted testers need to summarize their feedback in the form of a public report in my ANN. I don't have many requirements, but I would like it to be:

- constructive feedback (in my ANN and also on my agent page on Zenland platform)
- have at least 200 words (screenshots are optional)
- express an original opinion (not based on other reports)

- It is necessary to do the task 24 hours after creating the contract
- Metamask & BSC address required
- Payment will be made through Zenland, after the published feedback

I know it's not a significant reward, but it doesn't require much work. It is more like an opportunity to learn something new.

Those interested can apply in this thread, an authentication post with a username is enough.
All active accounts older than two months are acceptable, except for those with a red dot badge.

A few days ago I read an article, which deals with some well-known cases of theft of crypto assets. Many cases of kidnapping, torture and extortion of people known by criminals to own crypto assets.

I am posting this as a kind of warning, even if you protect your wallet, the problem can come from where we least expect it. It is certainly good advice not to talk much about assets and to keep them as private as possible.

For those who are interested in the source (I believe that these are not the only cases)

Forum Court / 68 posts in one day, user Doovla should be warned
« on: April 09, 2024, 01:00:18 AM »
User Doovla desperately wants to join the signature campaign. I know that he received criticism earlier because his posts are exclusively an application for participation in the campaign, which is one of the reasons why the managers ignored his application.

Obviously, he decided to change this but in a rather wrong way. Yesterday (8 April) he wrote a total of 68 posts, with short breaks, usually one post every 2-5 minutes. (Post history https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?action=profile;u=36763;area=showposts;start=0 )

I won't say that everything he wrote is ordinary spam, but he bumped many threads, regardless of whether further discussion is unnecessary. A bit tiring when it comes from one user.

At some point, I invited him on the chatbox to take a break, but he probably didn't see this message.
I'm not in favour of rigorous punishment, because I believe that he still doesn't fully understand some of the basics of behaviour on the forum, but he should be warned.

Sorry Doovla, you will definitely read this once, but you should know when you are exaggerating. Things don't work out like that. I'm fine if this is just part of your learning process.

Polygon MATIC Forum / Polygonscan so slow?
« on: April 02, 2024, 10:22:37 PM »
Today I happened to notice that I received several NFT tokens on one of my Polygon addresses. When I wanted to check transaction on polygonscan.com, everything loaded very slowly. I must say very slow, in my opinion even unusable.

Is this just me or is it normal?

I have been accepted as an escrow agent on the https://zen.land/ service. This is not an official ANN Zenland thread, it is more of a presentation of me as an Arbitrator (agent) of their service. Official Zenland is certainly informed about this thread.

I am (@examplens) listed as an agent on their official page https://agents.zen.land/

What are Arbitrator (Agent)
Quote
Zenland arbitrators, or Agents, are seasoned professionals entrusted with judging disputes. Agents thoroughly review evidence, engage with all parties, and guide the dispute toward a resolution upholding Zenland's commitment to fairness and transparency. These Agents are contract-neutral third parties who sign NDAs and are randomly assigned to escalated disputes.

Suggestion Box / Info hints on badges
« on: March 20, 2024, 11:00:58 AM »
Here we discussed The dots below username, what kind of badge is it?
We received partial explanations, perhaps not complete. Later, one user added a link to a similar discussion. Now we have additional new reputation dots with some users, I believe that there will be more over time.

I would suggest, if feasible, implementing some kind of info hints when the user hovers mouse pointers on the specific badge. We see many badges under the username, but to understand how a certain credit was obtained, it is necessary to search the forum for more information.

Forum related / The dots below username, what kind of badge is it?
« on: March 14, 2024, 11:23:06 PM »
I noticed that some users have specific badges, but I did not find an explanation of their meaning.
For example, the admin has 5 red dots

while dkbit98 has one yellow:

I didn't find anything about it here https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=14162.0

Bitcoin Forum / Lost, Forgotten Bitcoin. How many are there?
« on: March 07, 2024, 11:36:47 AM »
15 years ago, 21 million Bitcoins sounded like a huge amount. Today, especially when we have greedy ETFs that buy everything on offer, it all looks much different.
For a long time, not so much attention was paid to the security and storage of BTC, and I know of many stories about lost Bitcoins. Defective hardware, forgotten-lost passwords or private keys etc... I recently read somewhere that around 4 million Bitcoins are considered lost due to similar reasons.
Is there any approximately precise analysis of how many such, forever-locked Bitcoins there are?

Cryptocurrency Price Speculations / What after this bull run?
« on: February 29, 2024, 11:34:01 AM »
Maybe it's too early to talk about it, but this rune will reach its maximum one day. At least that's how it's always been until now. Somehow, after every bull run, the value returned to the lower resistance limit, it was always significantly more than after the previous cycle.

I'm interested in what you think, what is the value of Bitcoin below which it will no longer go?
I see $40k as the bottom line, even if BTC crosses the $100k mark this time.

Technical Discussion / Checking addresses balance in bulk
« on: February 27, 2024, 12:16:16 AM »
Can anyone recommend a tool that can be used to check balances for a large number of addresses at once?

It should be simple, just copy/paste 20 or 30 addresses and as a result get balance info for each address individually. Some additional CSV exports would be useful but not crucial.

I'm talking about Bitcoin tools.

I don't know how these things are solved on Altt, I would prefer to tag or limit them.

An obvious attempt to give false positive feedback about the BitChanger service. More than obvious considering that the accounts were created in a short period and everyone's first post is praise or false interest in this service.

For me, this is a red flag for BitChanger service as well, because if they are trying to deceive us in this way, why would they refrain from deceiving us if we use their service?

So, thread: [ANN]BitChanger - The Best Place to Exchange Crypto

I want to jump into the conversation and agree, really, FTX is an example of this, how many people have suffered because of this situation, and nobody will get anything back, so it is right to keep funds on different platforms.

User 6: SoulEmber

Would you recommend buying Bitcoin now? Or is it very late, just would like to make a proper investment.

Of course now is the time to buy Bitcoin, it will be 100k this year! So I recommend everyone to buy it before it's too late.

I doubt it wildly, despite the halving, I don't think it's possible not only this year, and next year is impossible too, I'd rather buy SOLANA or ETH.

Forum related / Limited threads but still visible. Why?
« on: February 22, 2024, 10:19:30 PM »
I've seen it before, but I didn't expect it to be a regular practice here.
So, for example, thread KYC verified badge to be removed is visible to all, but only forum administration can write there.
I understand that there are discussions in which you don't want other ordinary forum users, but isn't it logical that threads like that should be hidden?
